The World Health Organization (WHO) Director needs to resign says Senator Martha McSally (R-AZ). And she is absolutely correct.

“Sen. Martha McSally is calling on the World Health Organization director general to step down over what she deems his assistance in covering up China’s underreporting of the coronavirus, part of an escalating series of GOP criticisms of the organization.

The Arizona Republican said on Fox Business on Thursday that Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus should resign over the organization’s handling of the virus, which originated in China. While China has claimed it has essentially flattened new cases of the deadly virus now killing thousands of Americans, new reporting has questioned China’s rosy data.”

Liberals and the media (One and the same) have been slamming Trump and the Coronavirus team right and left for their supposed incompetent handling of this major pandemic. Are they equally as harsh when it comes to WHO?

NO. Not one bit.

How incredibly tone deaf of them! We are in the middle of a world wide crisis and WHO puts up a cutesy tweet about book reading, quitting smoking, and staying active?? WOW.

Then again, that organization was ever so “helpful” back in January.

Here’s the problem with THAT tweet by WHO. Taiwan told the World Health Organization in DECEMBER 2019 that China had a virus problem and it involved human-to-human transition. 

“Taiwan reported its concerns to a WHO framework called the International Health Regulations on Dec. 31, 2019. The IHR framework is intended to be an exchange of epidemic data between 196 countries.

“While the IHR’s internal website provides a platform for all countries to share information on the epidemic and their response, none of the information shared by our country’s [Centers for Disease Control] is being put up there,” Taiwanese Vice President Chen Chien-Jen told the Financial Times.

“The WHO could not obtain first-hand information to study and judge whether there was human-to-human transmission of COVID-10. This led it to announce human-to-human transmission with a delay, and an opportunity to raise the alert level both in China and the wider world was lost,” Chen added.”

That last paragraph is telling. WHO supposedly couldn’t obtain any decent information regarding the virus from China. Gee, I wonder why? Maybe because WHO is in China’s pocket? I’d say that WHO’s claims that they weren’t able to get decent information is incredibly dubious, especially since Taiwan has been locked out of major emergency meetings by WHO. Then there was this episode between a journalist and WHO scientist and co-Director Bruce Aylward.

Within a day his bio was scrubbed from WHO’s website. Gee, I wonder why? As Marta wrote pointed out, WHO has been parroting China’s talking points from the get go. 

I believe Martha McSally has the right idea, with a little fine-tuning. 

1. The Director of WHO absolutely needs to go
2. The entire organization needs to be revamped from top down 
3. Kowtowing to China must stop immediately.

China and the World Health Organization are BOTH responsible for what we are all dealing with right now. 

““I’ve never trusted a communist. And their cover-up of this virus that originated with them has caused unnecessary deaths around America and around the world,” said McSally, who is up for re-election this fall.

“The WHO needs to stop covering for them. I think Dr Tedros needs to step down. We need to take some action to address this issue. It’s just irresponsible, it’s unconscionable what they have done here while we have people dying across the globe.””

Absolutely true. WHO has been covering and is still covering for China. Even in the face of definitive evidence that China hid from the world how bad the virus outbreak was and is. Not only that, but their concealment of facts on the ground is DELIBERATE. 

60 Minutes Australia nails it. If China had been honest about the issue, we wouldn’t be in the fix we were in. But again, China’s agenda is clear. Cover up and let the world suffer.

Here in the United States we are grappling with social distancing, stay at home orders, overwhelmed medical personnel, truckers working overtime to deliver food and groceries, closed and closing restaurants, job loss, and more. States have gone overboard in determining what goods and services are and aren’t essential. Evidently toys, towels, and buying seeds for a garden are…not essential. 

This is where we are. But what is WHO doing? Sending cutesy tweets and parroting the communist line China feeds them. 

Martha McSally is right. The Director of WHO needs to be fired, a major house-cleaning is needed, and China is absolutely untrustworthy.
