Antonio Guterres, the U.N. Secretary General lectured the elites at Davos today. And, at one point, he said the quiet part really loudly.
Before I get to that, his lecture consisted of informing the elites with their private jet entourage that they aren’t doing enough to fix or change things.
Davos likes to think of itself as the solution for the world’s woes, but António Guterres isn’t so sure.
“We are in the worst situation of my lifetime,” the 73-year-old U.N. chief told the World Economic Forum on Wednesday, and the corporate leaders gathered alongside politicians in the Swiss mountain-top retreat of Davos are far from blameless.
“Across the spectrum of global challenges, we need private sector resourcefulness and cooperation to advance peace, sustainable development and human rights,” he said.
All of which, as John Kerry gleefully announced yesterday, means MORE money will be spent on projects such as wind and solar with zero return on investment.

Not only that, but in the name of climate change, we are supposed to kick beef, chicken, pork, and fish to the curb. Bugs will be in our future.

Fine. You give it a try buddy. Try it for a solid year and let us know the results. All these elites are parading around Davos eating canapes and drinking wine, while virtue signaling how much better they are than those who actually PRODUCE the products those same elites wear, eat, and fly around in. Those same virtue signaling idiots refuse to acknowledge that today’s technology of the oil and gas companies plus that of the major food producers is so much better, more efficient, and cleaner than it was even a decade ago!
U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Wednesday condemned fossil fuel giants for ignoring their own climate science, accusing the oil and gas industry of seeking to expand production despite knowing “full well” that their business model is incompatible with human survival.
“Some in Big Oil peddled the big lie,” Guterres said during a special address at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. “And like the tobacco industry, those responsible must be held to account.”
Notice, no one is pointing a finger at the world’s worst polluter, China. Never mind that, capitalism is evil and if the World Economic Forum doesn’t ACT NOW, the world will be in a crisis…again or something.
So, what exactly did the U.N. Secretary General say at Davos that caught my attention?

Tells politicians to make unpopular decisions today because it will be essential in the shaping of public opinion itself in the future.
He means ignore the voters, make them bend to your will. pic.twitter.com/Gyf3q2FmFO
Oh yes, he said the quiet part out loud. Ignore the citizens, make the rules as you see fit. We’ve watched this happen for three years now. Two weeks to flatten the curve turned into masking forever, tests in order to be allowed in or kept out of venues or events, which is happening at Davos right now.

No, that’s not creepy nor intrusive at all. Except that it is.
Businesses were shut down, lone paddle boarders were arrested, people were kicked off social media, and children’s education suffered because our politicians knew better than we did.
They want to make the rules, and they don’t want any push back. Free speech doesn’t matter to them. Only power. Pay attention when the people at Davos say stuff like this. They mean it and will use any method necessary to make it happen.

The global warming “do not exceed” number has gone from 7C, to 5C, to 3C, to 2C, and now 1.5C.
Note that 1.5C was within the error bars of AGW when they first started warning us about it.
Then we will spend our time trying to find people, through a long chain of friends or acquaintances or just randomly, who know people who can turn the chip back on for some consideration.
When I came to this first world, from the third world, I found this place to be magical because here you could live a comfortable life with what you knew. I left behind the world of “who you knew”. But guess that is deliberately being ended.
“Money, Money, Money, Money, Money, Money, Money”
Anyone else think of this?
Tells politicians to make unpopular decisions today because it will be essential in the shaping of public opinion itself in the future.
Elitists are scared by populism. Yet, progressive elitists use it as a tool. Work against the zeitgeist now, and turn your plans into the zeitgeist of tomorrow. Then you don’t have to worry about the populism, because it will be on your side. It’s simply a more specialized form of charisma – swaying the mob to you, then using it to steamroll your way to absolute power.
They mean it and will use any method necessary to make it happen.
Also understand many of them are actually true believers in Progressive religion. They think they are doing the world a favor by pushing us over the hump into their utopia. A world without scarcity, sickness or death, a world where everyone (the ones that survive) can live to their full potential, whatever they decide that is (biology, nature, human sinful nature all notwithstanding).
Far be it from me to suggest such a course of actions, but it does occur to me that a small tactical nuke detonated in Davos right now could potentially solve a majority of the worlds problem.
