Joy Reid Drags Senator Tim Scott; He Quotes Bible

Last week, on her MSNBC program “The Reid Out”, Joy Reid dragged Senator Tim Scott for adding a “patina of diversity” to the Republican party. It was during a discussion with Washington State’s Bernie Socialist, Congresscritter Pramila Jayapal. They were critiquing a press conference, by John Thune, on the minimum wage when Reid called the South Carolina Senator.

Joy Reid is ugly. I am not talking about her looks. I am talking about her soul. As late as November, 2020, Reid was still nattering on about the thoroughly debunked Russia collusion and that America is RACIST:

“I think even though we intellectually understand what America is at its base, right?” she said. “That there is a great amount of racism, anti-blackness, anti-wokeness, this idea that political correctness is some scheme to destroy white America, right?”

No, ma’am, we think political correctness is a scheme to destroy all of America. And, Miss Reid best be very careful. She has had to apologize more than one time for homophobic blog posts. Last year, she defended the thugs from Antifa who kill and destroys businesses and property.

Joy Reid is also well-known for criticizing any black person who doesn’t sing from the sang hymnal as she does. She called Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas “Uncle Clarence” in an astonishingly obvious reference to the slur Uncle Tom. Eight years ago, when Tim Scott was first appointed to the Senate, Reid published an open letter to him telling him not to be a “token” Senator.

Because Tim Scott has worked hard for the people of South Carolina and made a name for himself as a legislator. He contributed information on opportunity zones to the Trump tax bill and has been open about racial tensions with police. He is no one’s token anything.

Joy Reid cannot see Tim Scott as a man. She cannot see him as an intelligent agent of his own destiny. Reid can only see him as the enemy…a Republican. He is a traitor to his race in her eyes. Here is how LaCorte News reported Reid’s latest torpedo:

The MSNBC host took aim at Scott and the GOP last week in response to Republicans’ opposition to raising the minimum wage to $15. She showed a video of Sen. John Thune (R-SD) explaining that he and his colleagues are against increased the federal minimum wage because it would hurt people who have suffered economically because of the pandemic.

Reid quipped in response that Scott, who was standing behind Thune at the presser, was only present there to paint the GOP, as well as their opposition to the proposition, as diverse. “You’ve got to love Tim Scott standing there to provide the patina of diversity over that round of words, that basket full of words,” Reid told Rep. Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash.

Last night, Trey Gowdy gave an awesome defense of his good friend, Scott, on Fox News Channel:

By the way, if you ever get to hear Trey Gowdy or Tim Scott speak in person, do it. They both light up a room.

But, Tim Scott doesn’t need Trey Gowdy to defend him. He defends himself against this kind of ugly with the ease of a prototypical Southern Gentleman. He didn’t go ugly. He quoted the Bible. Matthew 5:44:

But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,

Scott also said that woke supremacy is as bad as white supremacy. He is too right about that. Joy Reid cannot see that. Bless her heart.

Thinking of Senator Tim Scott made me think of another Bible verse that suits him. Psalms 30:5:

For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

Real joy cometh in the morning. Not, you know, Joy Reid with her ugly soul.

The bigotry inherent in the “anti-racists” is profound.

The “patina of diversity”? I wonder what Joy (Lord Almighty—who so MISnamed that woman?) Reid would say about my Latino family—faithful Catholics, conservatives, five grandchildren in medical school or training and 25 grandchildren in total. She would probably call us “coconuts” or something even more foul. Coming from the likes of her, I would take it as a compliment.

      Cultists, insurrectionists, elitists, and breeders?
She might try something more subtle that ‘coconut’, but I don’t know what that would be. Is there a version of “Uncle Tom” for Latinxos?
