Illegal Immigrants Throw Tantrums, Send List Of Demands To Denver Mayor

Evidently illegal immigrants in Denver have MAJOR expectations. So much so that they had the audacity to throw tantrums and send a list of demands to Denver Mayor Mike Johnston.

A group of migrants are refusing to leave an encampment in Denver until the city meets a list of 13 demands.

The demands were sent to Denver Mayor Mike Johnston following a petition by city officials to move the group from the encampment to indoor shelters funded by the city, local TV station KDVR reported. The encampment is under a bridge and near train tracks.

These illegal immigrants, excuse me NEWCOMERS as Mayor Johnston describes them, are going offered shelter, as in an actual roof over their heads, instead tarps. Within that shelter, they would receive food, bedding, showers, and more. Evidently that’s not good enough for them. Hence their cute little list of demands.

The migrants should be allowed to “cook their own food with fresh, culturally appropriate ingredients,” including rice, chicken, flour, tomatoes and onions, instead of being served premade meals. They also want to ensure people are not punished for bringing and eating food from outside the shelters.

Have access to showers at all times and without time limits – we are not in the military, we are civilians.

Visits by medical professionals will occur on a regular basis, with referrals for specialty care made as needed.

The group will receive the same housing support offered to others, and city officials will not “kick people out in 30 days without something stable established.”

A “clear” and “just” process for removing someone, including verbal, written and final warnings.

Employment support, including work permit applications for those who qualify.

Free consultations with an immigration lawyer, as well as ongoing legal support provided by the city through immigration clinics and transportation to court.

Privacy for families in the shelter.

No verbal, physical or mental abuse by shelter staff and no 24/7 monitoring by law enforcement.

Transportation for children to and from school.

No separation of families, regardless of whether those families have children.

A meeting with the mayor and those involved in running the city’s program to support migrants “to discuss further improvements.”

All shelter residents will be provided with a document signed by a city official in English and Spanish and containing the list of demands and a number to call to report violations.

Aren’t they just ever so special? Yes, this list of demands is real.

First, those who are in the tarp encampments under the bridge have CHOSEN to be there right now because the shelters just weren’t good enough for them.

Let me have my bathroom time whenever I want and who cares if others are inconvenienced!

They don’t want law enforcement to do any monitoring because they aren’t criminals. Except what happens if someone gets violent, or someone is found to be a thief? Oh I know, it’ll be a therapy session instead.

They want better food??!! Are food trucks showing up and handing out meals for free? I doubt it. They want to provide a specialized grocery list and then cook whatever the hell they deem acceptable. Do they plan to clean up after themselves?

It isn’t just that this list of demands from the illegal immigrants is absurd, because it is. It’s ALSO that the folks who are pandering to these illegal immigrants are telling them that this is how you game the system. They are ENTITLED to throw these tantrums you see. Results will follow.

Except that Denver has already bent over backwards for these tantrum throwing illegal immigrants.

Last month, Johnston launched the controversial Asylum Seekers Program, which accommodates new migrants staying at city-funded shelters in Denver.

Migrants receive rental and food assistance for six months, and free legal services for their asylum applications while they wait to be approved for their work permits under the program.

Again, that’s not good enough.

The fact is, if Denver gives in to this list of demands, the illegal immigrants (I refuse to call them newcomers), will demand miles more from Denver, the state, and Colorado taxpayers. Because yes, we taxpayers are footing the bill for all of this.

Denver has been having its share of problems, brought upon the city by the Democrats who’ve essentially been in power for decades. The issue of the homeless is just as bad as Denver throwing the doors wide open to illegal immigration. Of course, Denver officials never really thought about the consequences nor PLANNED for their town to actually BE a sanctuary city. With the end result of slashing police and fire budgets and begging Denver citizens to consider housing illegals in their homes.

Denver officials are even on record telling those here illegally to go elsewhere. In other words, Denver is a sanctuary city only in name, not deed. But very compassionate don’t you know?

This list of demands from the illegals is on par. We are entitled you see! Joe Biden told us so!

They started their tantrums with 13 demands, you can darned well bet it won’t stop there.

I live out in the Denver-area suburbs and I cannot wait to uproot from Colorado.

  • GWB says:

    Nope. No can do.
But, since you brought it up, here’s your bus ticket back to wherever you came from.
Bye. Nice meeting you (not really). Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.
Bye bye, Ciao. Sayonara. Toodle-oo. Don’t come back, now, ya hear!

Just tell the liberals that screech that you’re simply supporting their “right of return.”

Arguably not true. However, you’re living in MY, you’ll take showers when I tell you and for as long as I tell you. Otherwise you’ll be living elsewhere – like back where you came from.

city officials will not “kick people out in 30 days without something stable established.”
FU. You’re (at best) a guest. You’ll leave when you’re told. Or I will send your sorry tuchus back home where it belongs.

A “clear” and “just” process for removing someone, including verbal, written and final warnings.
Your “verbal” and “written” warnings were delivered the day you illegally crossed our borders. Your final warning is when the man in blue grabs your collar and escorts you out. You are on notice/probation from the second you arrive.

Free consultations with an immigration lawyer, as well as ongoing legal support provided by the city through immigration clinics and transportation to court.
You got feet, right? Isn’t that how you got to our country (illegally)? Walk your lazy behind down to the courthouse. And whether you get a lawyer should be entirely up to you and how much of your savings you gave to the coyotes who brought you here. Maybe you should have thought of that before you left home.

no 24/7 monitoring by law enforcement.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! I would lobby for 25/8 surveillance! You should be treated as though you are POWs from an invading army, searched at a whim, made to stand for inspection for an hour a day. YOU BROKE OUR LAW. You should be in prison or on a bus headed home.

Transportation for children to and from school.
You really should be homeschooling. Like you must have been doing on that long march to our border.

No separation of families, regardless of whether those families have children.
Prove you’re a legitimate family, first. With blood tests and documentation.

    “to discuss further improvements.”
You mean that bus ride home? The “further improvements” to that would be they show up a lot sooner than you expect and you can be on your way that much more quickly.

Only if it’s an order to depart the US immediately and to never return on pain of lifetime imprisonment in Guantanamo.

Whew. And I didn’t even fisk some of the more orthodox whineries.

    One last bit…
See the items about the Colorado wolf reintroduction program and the soon to be can’t-hunt-big-cats-here law. Where vast numbers of people back the idea of re-introducing wolves and mountain lions in Denver, proper, first. Just drop them off by city hall. Let Gaia do the rest.

You might very simply solve two problems with one idea.

I’ll be very generous, they can have a parachute on their one way helicopter flight back into Mexico.

  • Cameron says:

A well armed militia would solve this problem inside half an hour. Just sayin’.

    • Scott says:

Which is one of the reasons that in addition to allowing this insanity (and make no mistake, denver will give them everything they ask for and then some, proving that they care far more about these invaders than they do for the citizens of this state) that the demonrats in this state staged a full on assault on Second Amendment rights in the state thus session, and the spineless republicans did very little to slow them down. In less than 20 years, this has gone from a beautiful free state to a communist enclave that Illinois or Cali would be proud of.
