Biden Admits To Withholding Aid From Israel, So Impeach Him

These are the rules that the Democrats made, and now Joe Biden should have to live by them. And under these rules, Biden deserves to be impeached.

On Wednesday evening, Biden gave an interview to CNN’s Erin Burnett. In its entirety, it shows just how delusionally disconnected Old Joe is from the problems of everyday Americans. The entire interview can be seen here:

For example, he is trying to claim that inflation was high when he took office, and HE is the one who brought it down.

In CNN’s most recent poll, Biden’s approval ratings for the economy (34%) and inflation (29%) remain starkly negative, as voters say economic concerns are more important to them when choosing a candidate than they were in each of the past two presidential contests.

Biden said on Wednesday that “no president has had the run we’ve had in terms of creating jobs and bringing down inflation.”

“It was 9% when I came to office. 9%. But look, people have a right to be concerned. Ordinary people.”

Inflation actually peaked at 9.1% in June 2022. In January 2021, when Biden was sworn in, it was 1.4%.

Ah, there’s that elderly man with the poor memory that we’ve had to put up with for the last three-plus years. But that wasn’t the part of the interview that should put him right in the crosshairs of impeachment.

Earlier this week, Axios broke the news that the Biden administration had put a “hold” on an arms shipment to Israel. This would be a big deal, since the aid money that was designated for this was approved by Congress just a few weeks ago, and rapidly signed by Biden himself. Initially, the administration refused to confirm this story. Both John Kirby and Karine Jean-Pierre were asked about this on different days, and both declined to say anything, while Joe Biden proclaimed that the administration was “committed” to Israel during a Holocaust Rememberance Day event on Tuesday.

And then during the CNN interview, Biden openly admitted that he is holding up the arms shipment over Israel’s operations in Rafah.

“Civilians have been killed in Gaza as a consequence of those bombs and other ways in which they go after population centers,” Biden told CNN’s Erin Burnett in an exclusive interview on “Erin Burnett OutFront,” referring to 2,000-pound bombs that Biden paused shipments of last week.

“I made it clear that if they go into Rafah – they haven’t gone in Rafah yet – if they go into Rafah, I’m not supplying the weapons that have been used historically to deal with Rafah, to deal with the cities – that deal with that problem,” Biden said.

The president’s announcement that he was prepared to condition American weaponry on Israel’s actions amounts to a turning point in the seven-month conflict between Israel and Hamas. And his acknowledgement that American bombs had been used to kill civilians in Gaza was a stark recognition of the United States’ role in the war.

The president has come under extraordinary pressure, including from members of his own party, to limit shipments of arms amid a humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

“We’re not walking away from Israel’s security. We’re walking away from Israel’s ability to wage war in those areas,” Biden said.

Biden said while the US would continue to provide defensive weapons to Israel, including for its Iron Dome air defense system, other shipments would end should a major ground invasion of Rafah begin.

“We’re going to continue to make sure Israel is secure in terms of Iron Dome and their ability to respond to attacks that came out of the Middle East recently,” he said. “But it’s, it’s just wrong. We’re not going to – we’re not going to supply the weapons and artillery shells.”

Already, the US has paused a shipment of “high-payload munitions” due to Israel’s possible operations in Rafah without a plan for the civilians there, according to the Pentagon, though it said a final decision on that shipment hadn’t been made. The administration has said it is reviewing the potential sale or transfer of other munitions.

Oh, and remember how the administration was refusing to comment? That was because they wanted Biden to give his Holocaust Rememberance Day speech FIRST before stabbing Israel in the back. I guess those optics would have been pretty bad, hmmmm???

Biden’s position is absolutely indefensible, as columnist John Podhoretz points out. What was the point of pushing for aid, only to withhold it now?

Last week, the administration’s line was that it needed to see a plausible evacuation plan from Rafah—a statement indicating that it still supported the overall aim of eliminating Hamas and that the problem going forward was primarily logistical. So that might simply have been a lie. It’s no secret Biden doesn’t want Israel to conduct a full-scale war operation in Rafah, but the administration made it sound as though that was entirely on humanitarian grounds.

But if his primary aim is to limit civilian casualties, his methods of doing so are insane. The munitions he is holding back would in part allow Israel to hit sites and areas in Rafah with great precision. That is how you limit casualties. Which leads me to believe that Joe Biden is literally trying to freeze the conflict in place permanently—for his own reasons. Those reasons are bad, and stupid, and feckless, and self-defeating. For Israel cannot stop the war. It can’t. If it does, Hamas wins—at which point Israel will begin a new period of mortal peril perhaps more threatening to its future than any period in its past. The Israeli public will not stand for it. Because of what Biden is doing, the war will be bloodier and more costly for both sides, and will take much longer. How on earth will that help him?

And why does Biden want this anyway? To what end? Unless your purpose is to prevent an Israeli victory. If he doesn’t want an Israeli victory, why did he spend months pushing for aid? Why? WHY?

The flip side of this coin, of course, is that withholding Congressionally-approved aid is, according to Democrats, an impeachable offense. Insisting on certain conditions being met before that aid is provided is, if I recall, a quid pro quo. These are the rules that the Democrats made, and in the immortal words of Senator Mitch McConnell, “You’ll regret this, and you may regret this a lot sooner than you think.” And Democrats know this.

Some Democrats are willing to call Biden out – which is going to make things very awkward in the Democrat party going forward.

In the House, Lois Frankel, Ritchie Torres, and Jared Moskowitz are also questioning the Biden administration’s actions in withholding the arms shipment. Torres was especially pointed as to the reason why Biden was doing this.

“I suspect it’s pandering to the far left,” the staunchly pro-Israel lawmaker told Axios. “It looks like election year politics was driving it. That’s my impression,” he added.

“I’d like the president to do right by Israel and recognize that the far left is not representative of the rest of the country.”

Obviously, what needs to happen next is an immediate hearing by the House impeachment inquiry, to hold Biden accountable for his decision to withhold the aid that Congress voted on. After all, the Government Accountability Office has already determined that a move like this is against the law, and Democrats used it as grounds for impeachment against Donald Trump.

The GAO, a nonpartisan congressional watchdog, said in a decision issued Thursday that the White House budget office violated the Impoundment Control Act, a 1974 law that limits the White House from withholding funds that Congress has appropriated.

The Office of Management and Budget told the GAO it “withheld the funds to ensure that they were not spent ‘in a manner that could conflict with the President’s foreign policy,’” said Thomas Armstrong, the GAO’s general counsel. But the GAO rejected that argument.

“Faithful execution of the law does not permit the President to substitute his own policy priorities for those that Congress has enacted into law,” the GAO wrote. “OMB withheld funds for a policy reason, which is not permitted under the Impoundment Control Act. The withholding was not a programmatic delay. Therefore, we conclude that OMB violated the ICA.”

That law has not changed, and the same rules that applied to Donald Trump should apply to Joe Biden – right? The Republican caucus needs to pull itself together immediately and get the ball rolling. The president of the United States just admitted to breaking the law, right? Now, I know what the Biden administration’s line is going to be – they will allow Israel defensive weapons, but not offensive ones. But that’s not what the aid bill that was passed and signed said. Joe Biden just chose sides in this war, and he’s so in thrall to the radical left that he is now advocating for the survival of Hamas. This is insane and unthinkable, especially considering that there are still AMERICAN CITIZENS BEING HELD HOSTAGE BY HAMAS that Biden has abandoned, and there should be a bipartisan effort to publicly rebuke this action by Biden.

Don’t be silly. You can’t get rid of a Democrat. Only the Grim Reaper gets to do that.

Agreed, just like with classified documents, the rules are different for “R”s and “D”s.. The deep state will make sure he never faces any consequences.. the only other part of the post I would argue with is ” especially considering that there are still AMERICAN CITIZENS BEING HELD HOSTAGE BY HAMAS “.. There is NO way that any of them have survived this long with those barbarians. On top of the fact that they would never free the women, because they would describe the horrors visited upon them by these animals.. at this point, the most they’re holding is their bodies, and it’s highly likely that the disposed of the evidence long ago..
Kill them all, it’s the only resolution that can lead to peace.
