If Ilhan Omar was going to make her hatred of Jews less obvious, then she should’ve considered how badly her despicable attack on Elliott Abrams would be received.

Keep in mind, this was a hearing in front of the House Foreign Relations committee regarding how the State Department is handling the crisis in Venezuela. The country is dealing with bankruptcy on all levels, starvation, an unbelievably sky high murder rate, death, and a major refugee crisis. All because of Maduro’s adoption of socialism and its subsequent failure.

So, fresh off her non-apology tour, what does Ilhan do? Attacks Elliott Abrams. It was a despicable performance. Watch.

I don’t know about you, but I was ready to throw things. The unmitigated GALL of Omar.

How does the Washington Post spin this?

The clash was the kind of thing you rarely see in congressional hearings, even from the most liberal members. Abrams was uniquely susceptible to this kind of treatment given his past, yes, but Omar made clear she’s not cowed by what happened Monday.

Oh. Well then…in other words, Omar’s apology was full of shit. Granted we all knew that. And, until she faces REAL consequences, she’s going to keep going. Because, as the WaPo helpfully points out, she’s provocative. I’m gonna hurl.

Heck, Legal Insurrection reports that Jewish leaders met with her over a YEAR ago to discuss her anti-semitism. 

Instead, Latz said (emphasis mine): “Over the course of about two hours, we shared with her our concerns for things, including language that has references and meanings beyond just the meanings of words. Tropes, dog whistles — call them what you will. We explained to her how hurtful, and factually inaccurate, they were.

Even though Latz could not remember the exact statements from Omar, he said that the leaders emerged from the discussion “very troubled by the answers we received.” He also remained unconvinced “she was going to give a balanced approach to policy in the Middle East.”

There won’t be a “balanced” approach from Ilhan Omar on anything it seems. She’s quite comfortable with her anti-semitism and is all to happy to parade it in front of us all.

And Nancy Pelosi isn’t planning on booting her from her committee assignments any time soon. You see, ‘she apologized now everyone shut up and move along!’

Max Boot got a clue and called her out. He’s getting dragged for it by her minions and defenders. Meanwhile, this was CNN’s take this evening.

I’d be willing to bet that this was CNN’s way to smooth over Ilhan’s heinous antics during the hearing.

Keep in mind, Ilhan Omar’s attack on Elliott Abrams wasn’t because of his past history regarding his role in the Iran/Contra affair. It was because he is staunch supporter and defender of Israel. She misstated his name on purpose.

Ilhan’s apology meant exactly Jack and Shit. That has been evident from the get go. Powerline’s Scott Johnson makes an excellent point.

The truth is, Omar is almost 40 years old, and she’s being handled like a child. Her anti-Semitism is in keeping with her worldview. It’s no more susceptible to dialogue than is Bernie Sanders’s socialism.

If Omar, or any anti-Semite, has a genuine epiphany and renounces her Jew-hatred, that’s a different story. In such cases, no one needs coercing to tweet out a fake apology. Repentant bigots tend to be very vocal about having changed their ways. You know them when you see them. That’s not Ilhan Omar. The only proper response to anti-Semites in public life is to expose them and get them out of power. Every requested apology strengthens their position. That’s what it’s supposed to do.

Brad Schaeffer issues a warning as well.

Remember. Anti-semites never stop with just the Jews. Anti-Semitism is rather the canary in the coal mine. It is, in the end, anti-humanity. Let’s not lose sight of that. Please.

I couldn’t agree more. We need to keep exposing her anti-semitism every chance we get and take her microphone away. If we stop, she gains more ground to the detriment of us all.
