Eric Swalwell has decided what the most important issue is within his district.Last night while yukking it up with Joy Reid, he debuted one of the most egregious fear-mongering abortion ad I’ve ever seen.
Watch for yourself.
First, Swalwell touts his crews as a federal prosecutor and claims he had this ad done because if MAGA Republicans win in November, this will be the reality across the nation. As if, by just the election results, laws in all 50 states will suddenly flip and women will be dragged out of their homes, arrested, and thrown into jail.
No state law currently would send a woman to prison for having an abortion, but some would have doctors who perform abortions face criminal charges for doing so. In other states, they could face heavy fines or lose their medical licenses.
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) has introduced a bill to ban abortion nationally after 15 weeks of pregnancy, but several of his GOP colleagues in the Senate have said they do not support the proposal and the issue should be left to the states.
Eric wants women to believe that will happen, even as California has now declared itself an abortion sanctuary state. Is he implying that even California will flip on abortion? Likely so. This despicable ‘Lock Her Up’ ad is playing to the lowest common denominator, the voters who believe in abortion and won’t do a scintilla of research on the topic.
Swalwell isn’t the only Democrat running who believes abortion is THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT issue of all time to their constituents. Except it isn’t. It’s nowhere near the top as multiple polls show, including this most recent one.
In September, independent women likely voters favored Democrats by 14 points. Now, independent women backed Republicans by 18 points.

Read that again. Abortion as a key issue hasn’t moved since July. When was Dobbs decided? Right at the end of June. If abortion was that much of an issue, the needle would’ve moved much higher on polling in the weeks and months following.
Yet the Democrats running all insist that abortion is the issue. The ONLY issue. To me, this is a desperate gambit from Eric Swalwell. It’s an ad that ignores the reality around the United States. The reality is, the only people arrested by the police or the DOJ are pro-life.

People all across the U.S. are being arrested and indicted for standing up against abortion.
A federal grand jury in the District of Columbia indicted Herb Geraghty of Pennsylvania, an atheist who serves as the executive director of the nonpartisan pro-life organization Rehumanize International, for violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act by participating in a blockade of an abortion clinic in the nation’s capital on Oct. 22, 2020.

“For nearly three decades since FACE was enacted in 1994, it has rarely been used to prosecute life advocates. Yet in 2022 alone, under the Biden/Garland DOJ, there have been at least 22 peaceful pro-life activists indicted under the act.”
Not only that, but many clinics such as Life Choices in Colorado were vandalized and burned.

Yet Eric Swalwell wants his voters to believe that if Republicans prevail in November, mass arrests will ensue. Instead the shoe is on the other foot with the weaponized DOJ.
Then again, this egregious abortion ad comes from a guy who has a major China Fang Fang problem and is living large off of campaign funds.

Wouldn’t it be great if his voters were shown this in an ad?
Eric Swalwell’s fear-mongering ad is beyond the pale. But he did it because REASONS you see.
Reid called the video “chilling” when she spoke to Swalwell about it, and the congressman warned that this is what Americans will see if Republicans sweep the midterm elections and then try to ban abortion.
“I wanted it to be clear that no police officer wants to be in this position. And for the officer to say ‘Ma’am, we’re just doing our job,’ that’s the horrible position we’re going to put law enforcement in,” he said. “I wish this was an exaggeration, but this is going to be the new reality in MAGA America if we do not win the midterms in both the House and Senate.”
Joy Reid is gonna Joy Reid. Meanwhile, both of them are happily engaged in skirting reality in order to gin up scared women voters.
The abortion ad is despicable. Eric Swalwell is desperate and an embarrassment to his district. Sadly, unless a miracle happens, his opponent doesn’t have enough traction to prevail next month.

GWB says: Funny that the exact same people who made this ad will tell you that there is no such thing as a slippery slope and endorsing homosexuality would never lead to the hyper-sexualization of our children, nor to polygamy or any other further erosion of morals. And that no American gov’t would ever show up on its citizens’ doorsteps to take their property or to arrest them for exercising their constitutional rights.
This ad would have only made sense if the cops were wearing FBI jackets.

Chad King says: In the event that the Republicans manage not to blunder their way out of a House majority next month, I’m still not expecting a lot out of them. I doubt if they’ll restructure the FBI or IRS via the power of the purse or that they’ll condemn Brandon’s unconstitutional overreachs, or put the Deep State on a 1,000 calorie a day diet–every alphabet agency should be defunded–perhaps 10% per year for 10 years or so. In the event that an alphabet agency actually is missed, we can always reinstate the funding.
But at a minimum, they’ll lose me if Swalwell or Schiff has a committee seat on February 1. What’s good for Marjorie Taylor Greene is good for those two knaves. They need to be slapped in public for their lies over the past six years. No turning the other cheek–it’s high time that the Republicans get into the eye-for-an-eye business.

The repubs had a chance to pass the sportsmans hearing protection act and others when they held both houses in the beginning of Trumps presidency, and failed to do so. While not pushing the damaging crap the dems do, they do very little work to repeal any of it.
