Gun Rights Under Attack

Gun Rights Under Attack

Gun Rights Under Attack

It didn’t start with the Las Vegas shooting, nor did it start with The Pulse or Sutherland Springs; it certainly did not start with Parkland. Our gun rights have been under continuous assault for decades, but lately something insidious has crept into our discussions of the Second Amendment, gun rights, and public policy. Maybe I’m extra sensitive these days, but it seems that more and more rights-smothering, enraged, vindictive evil is seeping out of the gun grabbers. From the angry, expletive-filled, misinformed clamor of the Parkland survivors (the most shrill of whom never even saw the shooter and considered themselves too good to be kind to the weird kid before the massacre), to the artfully orchestrated, funded, and promoted nationwide walkouts and marches, dramatically supported by out-of-touch, virtue signaling celebrities, whose gated communities and armed security guards insulate them from the need to defend themselves from armed thugs, and organized by statist billionaires, to the pointless measures publicly promoted by opportunistic politicians, to the vicious, vindictive attempts to silence criticism and stifle any discussion that doesn’t toe the statists’ line…

…something is rotten in the United States.

We have retired a Supreme Court Justice publicly calling for the repeal of the Second Amendment.

We have ignorant, arrogant children working to silence any speech that triggers them and, with help of shrill harpies of the left, destroy the speaker, while claiming to support civil rights.

In Illinois, adults of a certain age are being mandated to surrender their arms.

A bill requiring 18-20 year olds to hand over or transfer ownership of heretofore legally possessed “assault weapons” is gaining sponsors in the Illinois Senate after passing the House last month.

In Massachusetts, a federal judge has ruled that the state’s ban on “assault” weapons (read: scary, black rifles that make leftists shit themselves in terror) does not violate the Second Amendment. Let’s note that the Second Amendment refers to the right to keep and bear arms. Not handguns, but arms – weapons, armaments, guns, and ammunition – anything that a man wears for his defence, or takes in his hands, or uses in his anger, to cast at, or strike at another.

Boulder, Colorado, has passed a ban on AR-15s – America’s most commonly used rifle that is hardly ever used in violent crime. But oh, hey! It’s scary and evil-looking, and anything that’s scary and evil-looking is bad, and hence, should be illegal, right?

Deerfield, Illinois will charge you up to $1,000 per day if you keep your scary, black rifle instead of turning it in like a good little sheep. I’m wondering how they’re planning to enforce this little fascist diktat. Busting into a gun owner’s home and searching it? Violating the Fourth Amendment? I suppose since they have no respect for the Second Amendment, the Fourth is pretty much a vapid joke.

A City Councilshit in Indianapolis is proposing a statewide “assault weapons” ban, because the panty-shitting pussy is “alarmed by the number of mass shootings since a federal assault weapons ban ended in 2004.” Let’s remind said Councilshit, who claims to support the second amendment, but is willing to take a large, steaming dump on it as soon as he gets triggered by a mass shooting event, that mass public shootings such as Columbine took place during the heyday of the “assault” weapons ban, and that mass public shooting events began to rise rapidly in 2002 – BEFORE the ban expired.

Florida, in the aftermath of the Parkland shooting, has enacted a package of gun control laws, including raising the minimum age to purchase a firearm from 18 to 21. Let’s put aside the fact that the average age of a mass shooter is 34 and focus on the absolute absurdity of allowing an 18-year-old to serve in the military and die for our country, protecting and defending the Constitutional rights of Americans, while being prohibited from exercising those same rights.

Two “assault weapons” bans have been introduced on Capitol Hill post-Parkland, sans thought, and without much knowledge of firearms or how they work. This is a windfall for Dianne Feinstein, who has been frothing at the mouth at the thought of introducing yet another pointless “assault weapons” ban that has no chance of stopping crime, but will certainly show off her progressive credentials in light of her humiliation at the hands of probably one of the dumbest people ever to run for the Senate: Kevin de Leon.

Make no mistake, people. All those leftists that have tried to make you feel like a paranoid, bitter jackass for clinging to your guns, this is what they want. Bans. Confiscation. Age limits.

They claim they simply want to keep guns out of the wrong hands, but guess what! YOU have the wrong hands.

They claim to respect property rights, but they are more than willing to kick in your door and confiscate your property as long as the gun is a scary, black one that they don’t like.

They claim to treasure privacy, but apparently have no problem appropriating your earnings to the tune of $1,000 per day if they think you’re hiding one of those evil weapons.

They claim to value the First Amendment, but have no problem targeting you and silencing you if you happen to say something they find offensive.

They claim they understand and support the Second Amendment, but think it was written for deer season.

Given the latest efforts to relieve you of your rights, their attempts at calming you down by telling you that no one is coming for your guns sounds like so much bovine excrement.

So to them I say, “Molon Labe, motherfuckers!”

The flap about “assault weapons” started with the Stockton school shooting in 1989. There are records of Josh Sugarmann encouraging efforts against “assault weapons” as a means of getting them banned so a precedent would be set to make banning other things easier. At the time, AR-15s had not achieved the popularity they have now, and the perception was that “assault weapons” would be low-hanging fruit, with few people willing to defend their ownership. It has been carefully orchestrated.

Always remember and never forget: Just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean no one is out to get you.
this is what they want. Bans.
    See what I mean?
