Who you gonna believe Congresswoman Salazar or your lyin’ eyes? The Congresswoman is pushing her Dignity Act, which according to her is not amnesty and does not include a pathway to citizenship. Okay? In case you are unaware, African elephants produce about 220 pounds of dung daily, Representative Maria Elvira Salazar has that record beat with this one bill. Here are the deets from Western Journal:

Introduced by GOP Rep. María Elvira Salazar of Florida, the Dignity for Immigrants while Guarding our Nation to Ignite and Deliver the American Dream Act of 2025 sounds like possibly the most tortured acronym for legislation for quite some time (“DIGNITAD” is dignity in Spanish, for those of you who’ve forgotten those desultory high-school foreign language courses), but the way it’s being sold is that it’s an acceptable compromise.

The TL;DR version we’re getting from Salazar and her co-sponsors is that the bill would secure the border so that we have no future illegal immigration crises. The asylum system would be overhauled, but so would the enforcement system, leaving those with jobs in the American economy (illegal though those jobs may be) here.

For most illegal immigrants, supporters claim, the path to citizenship would be narrow. There would be a pathway for the so-called “Dreamers” — i.e., recipients of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals under the Obama administration — but everyone else would have a hard time of it.

Conservatives have called it amnesty in sheep’s clothing, which has drawn a harsh rebuke from Salazar.

“READ. THE. BILL. BEFORE. YOU. OPEN. YOUR. MOUTH,” she said in an X post in response to Texas Rep. Brandon Gill, who says it’s “mass amnesty” and a “terrible betrayal of our voters.’

Calling the DIGNITY Act “amnesty” isn’t just wrong. It’s a deliberate distortion and it exposes just how little you know about the bill.

Salazar is big mad. I have been on the path of this bill since July of last year. It still seems like cheaters’ amnesty to me.

Case in point New York Congressman Mike Lawler’s wife is a legal immigrant who was granted her citizenship, and we are freaking proud of her. USA! USA!

There is no evidence that Mrs. Lawler came to the USA illegally or used any fraudulent methods to obtain her citizenship. We are super proud. Then, Congresscritter Mike Lawler tussled with Laura Ingraham over his bride:

Mike Lawler engaged in an extended, tense debate over the Dignity Act, which would allow certain undocumented immigrants to live and work legally if they meet requirements such as residing in the U.S. since before 2020, avoiding criminal convictions, paying fines, and passing employment verification. Ingraham challenged Lawler’s assertions, disputing his statement that all crimes would disqualify applicants and pressing him on how continuous presence would be proven. Lawler maintained that the Department of Homeland Security would determine eligibility under existing guidelines and emphasized the bill’s inclusion of E-Verify to ensure legal employment.

We have all noticed that Democrats always hang together. Republicans always abandon ship if the weather gets a mild breeze. This is why, even when we have 90/10 issues on our side, we lose. We have people like Maria Salazar and Mike Lawler grifting off of all of us. Kill this freaking (un)Dignity Bill. The sooner, the better.
