Marcotte Irony: Republican Women Are Self-Loathing

One can always count on Salon‘s Amanda Marcotte for some self-loathing projection. This latest exhibit shows us just how angry the ol’ feminazi is.

In Marcotte’s latest, “What Has Gotten Into Republican Women?” she dials up her generalizations and small-mindedness to eleventy. Republican women all have condescending husbands. They all have no status in their community. They bully trans kids. They enjoy being cruel to others. They see feminism as a “pipe dream” not worth fighting for. They hate “real education”. They are all a bunch of barefoot and pregnant, Bible-thimping, uneducated housewives who hate themselves and want to make the world more miserable because they cannot stand what they see in the mirror, according to Amanda Marcotte. She backs this claim up by quoting Andrea Dworkin’s “Right Wing Women”.

Women cling to irrational hatreds, focused particularly on the unfamiliar, so that they will not murder their fathers, husbands, sons, brothers, lovers, the men with whom they are intimate, those who do hurt them and cause them grief. Because women so displace their rage, they are easily controlled and manipulated haters.”-Andrea Dworkin, Right Wing Women

In typical Amanda Marcotte fashion, she projects. Mirror, meet Marcotte. Marcotte, meet mirror. Mirror, mirror, on the wall…who’s the most easily controlled and manipulated haters of all?

Marcotte’s rant gives us the true picture of ultra-liberal women in the United States today punching down (as she says Republican women do) at the oppressed women whose husbands are misogynistic abusers that want to keep them “dumbed-down” and “subservient”. And, if we follow Marcotte’s train of thought here, this is why we are fighting against on-demand abortion with no restrictions. This is why we are lashing out at the transgender movement and banning books containing pornography from school libraries, apparently:

All because we live in a misogynistic society and are controlled by our husbands and are against education. This is why we don’t want babies killed and this is why we do not want pornographic materials in our school libraries that we, the taxpayers, fund. I cannot facepalm hard enough at this. I really cannot.

According to Amanda Marcotte, ALL Republican women or, should I say, ALL women who voted for Trump or anyone on a Republican ticket EVER, are all white, bored, suburban housewives who have no positive self-image and are uneducated, baby factories who cannot stand up to any man, much less the men in our lives, who all abuse us tremendously. Because of this, Conservative women have to lash out at the “patriarchy” in different ways and we do it in the name of “family values”.

They can’t yell at condescending husbands or abusive fathers, not without losing status in their communities. But that angst can be projected onto bogeymen. Bullying LGBTQ kids or banning books provides a socially acceptable outlet for that rage. They can wallow in being domineering and mean, and get commended for it, because they’re doing it in the name of ‘family values.’-Amanda Marcotte

This, from someone who hates their family and has written about it, ladies and gentleman. But don’t let that dissuade you from Amanda Marcotte trying to equate a photo of white women leering at a trans “woman”, who calls himself “Zooey Zephyr” to those same photos of the Civil Rights Movements of the 50s and 60s.

Nothing to see here. A white guy posing as a woman in a courthouse is just like a black student wanting an education and leaving a public school building, back in the early 60s, apparently. Those white women looking at the guy in the dress with the ridiculous name are nothing but uneducated bullies, picking on the marginalized. Those white women who are against other white, privileged women killing an innocent life in the name of furthering an acting career or realizing one slept with a deadbeat are terrible, misogynistic, self-loathing human beings whose husbands and fathers beat them and abuse them. We’re projecting all of our anger onto other women and, fake women, as Marcotte’s story goes. Bigotry.

So, from one Conservative woman to an ultra-liberal woman with a much larger platform, I will say this to Amanda Marcotte. The most condescending, abusive men I have ever had the displeasure of being associated with (I was in a relationship with a few back when I, too, identified as a liberal) have been liberal men. One of these (poor excuses of) men hated his mother with every fiber of his pathetic being and wanted every single woman in his wake to feel this pain. He was an uneducated, (I held the college degree, he was a loser bill collector), misogynistic twit who was verbally, emotionally and physically abusive. He’ll post, to this day, that he is “pro-woman” and “pro-trans”. After all, why would a deadbeat loser like him want to father a child? (Thank God, he hasn’t.) And, why the hell would he freaking care if said child (if allowed to be born) wanted to mutilate his or her genitals? These guys will also be the same ones who bitch and moan about the trans-woman using their restroom to the point the poor, confused person is forced to use the women’s rest room because the women are “the kind gender” and “won’t dare complain”. So, there’s that.

Marcotte is right about something. Republican women may have some angst. But, from one woman who voted on the Republican ticket for years, I would say that it is not my Conservative, retired Marine, husband (who, by the way, treats me like a queen and is the most caring and generous man I’ve ever met) who I am angry with. It is misogynistic, pseudo-intellectual, liberal-ass men (and the women like Amanda Marcotte who support them and their agendas) at which some of us women direct our rage. And, you know what? I don’t feel the least bit ashamed about this. No secret, self-loathing here. So, excuse me, Ms. Marcotte, while I tell you to shove your babble about misogyny and self-loathing, Republican women in a very special place. Up yours.

I don’t read Salon. Otherwise, haven’t heard of her since she stepped on that rake regarding the Duke lax rape hoax. She’s still around? Huh.

So, she’s projecting. And, she’s still an ignorant, fascist tw@t. It’s another day that ends with y.

“They can’t yell at condescending husbands or abusive fathers, not without losing status in their communities…”

Losing status in their communities? Where does she think Republican women live? Amish villages in rural Pennsylvania? Jewish shtetls? Marcotte is one stupid chickie.

Who quotes Andrea Dworkin anymore? Only self-loathing feminists who haven’t figured out the grift yet.
