Iran Starts 2024 By Flogging Woman Who Refused To Wear Hijab

Seventy four. That’s how many times Roya Heshmati was flogged two days ago in Iran for refusing to wear her hijab.

Iran is trying to keep this under the radar this time so nation-wide protests regarding Mahsa Amini, whom Toni wrote about, won’t happen again.

Can you imagine the courage it takes to stand up to such an oppressive terrorist regime that governs by erasing women? The easily triggered western snowflake feminists could learn a great deal from Roya’s bravery.

A Kurdish-Iranian woman named Roya Heshmati was whipped 74 times after a photo of her was published a few months ago in which she was seen not wearing a hijab in Tehran, Iranian human rights activists reported on Saturday. Heshmati has been an outspoken critic of the Islamic regime’s hijab law.

Oh, but there is more. Roya gave a first-hand account of her “punishment.” Courageously, she reported for her sentence and refused multiple times to wear her hijab.

The branch employee said, “Put your scarf on your head so you don’t get into trouble.” I replied, “I came for this exact reason; whip me, I will not leave.” The execution officer arrived, saying, “Put on your hijab and follow me.” I responded, “I don’t want to, so why don’t you do it?

He responded: “I’ll whip you, and you’ll find out where you are. I’ll open a new case for you; you can be our guest for the other seventy-four.”

I did not go back. We went down where we saw some other boys waiting to be lashed for drinking alcohol. The man sternly repeated, “Didn’t I say put your scarf on?” Two chadori women came and pulled the scarf over my head. This was repeated several times, and standing next to me, the woman sighed and said, “I know, I know.” (…). They opened the iron door on the walls of the cement room at the bottom, where there were handcuffs and iron bindings on both sides of the bed with an iron device similar to the base of a painting canvas, slightly on this side. It was a medieval torture chamber.

The judge asked, “Ma’am, how are you? Do you not have a problem?” I remained silent as if he didn’t exist. He said, “I’m with you, lady.” I didn’t answer again. The executioner said, “Take off your coat.” I hung my coat and scarf from the base of the torture canvas. He said, “Put on your scarf.” I responded, “I will not. Put your Koran under your arm and beat it.” The woman came and said, “Please don’t be stubborn” and pulled the scarf over my head. The judge said, “Don’t hit too hard.”

The man started to hit my shoulders, back, hips, thighs, legs. I didn’t count the number of blows, chanting under my breath in the name of woman, in the name of life, our black night slavery dress torn, let all the whips be axed.

It’s over; we came. I didn’t let them out; they thought I was in pain, even worse than these words.

As she left, Roya once again refused to put on the hijab, and refuses to leave Iran.

I said, “This country is for everyone.” He said, “Yes, but the law must be followed.” I replied, “Let the law do its job; we will continue our resistance.”

We came out of the room, and I threw my scarf again.

A terrorist regime flogged a woman SEVENTY FOUR times. A regime that also funded the brutality of Hamas on October 7, and is funding the Houthi attacks on shipping in the Red Sea.

Roya isn’t alone.  Professor and surgeon, Dr. Fatemeh RajaeiRad, was fired, penalized, and likely beaten for not wearing her hijab while receiving a prestigious award for her work.

The head of the hospital was fired and Dr. RajaeiRad was fired.

“The roaring river finds its way, even if it has to pass through hard and impenetrable rocks,” wrote Rajaei-Rad on her Instagram story as she shared the news that she had been fired.

That was last fall. And these two instances aren’t the only ones.

Furthermore, it seems there are roving bands of “officials” who are using surveillance cameras among other methods to find and crack down on women who either refuse to wear the hijab or are supposedly (by their tyrannical definition) not wearing it correctly.

This is the Iran regime that John Kerry, Joe Biden, and Obama desperately want to make a deal with. This is the Iran regime, that targets and works to erase women. The very same regime that women’s rights organizations have stayed silent on for YEARS.

It’s worth noting that the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to a jailed Iranian women’s rights activist, Narges Mohammadi, last fall just as Iran restarted its hijab crackdown. Coincidence? I think not.

The courage of Roya, Narges, Fatemeh, and many other Iranian women in the face of brutal oppression must be applauded and supported by all.

The fact that women’s rights organizations and western feminists stay silent while fools and knaves march in support of Hamas terrorists speaks volumes.

I’m sure that this will be the Hot Topic for the Ladies of The View to discuss this week.

    Waiting . . . . waiting . . . waiting . . .

    Did she survive 74 lashes?
Seems like that would be death by flail.
Anyone seen or heard from here since this sentence was passed?
