California Governor Gavin Newsome is picking up right where Jerry Brown left off. Driving California off the cliff. In his inaugural address yesterday, he announced that California will provide sanctuary and healthcare for all…those here illegally that is.
Isn’t that lovely? The newly elected governor’s priorities involve everyone BUT Californians.
Gov. Gavin Newsom announced sweeping proposals to tackle the state’s healthcare needs shortly after taking office on Monday, outlining a dramatic Medi-Cal expansion that would cover young immigrant adults who are in the U.S. illegally, require that all consumers in the state carry health insurance and increase subsidies for middle-class families to help those who need it.
Who is going to pay for the Medi-Cal expansion? Who will be paying for the coverage for all illegals? Where will the money be coming from?
MOAR TAXES! in 3, 2, 1….
Think I’m wrong? That’s the only way that this little scheme of his will work. Of course, he and healthcare professionals were also quick to point out that this new program will ensure everyone can receive affordable healthcare. Except that’s not really the case. Many in California who have private health insurance have run into a very big problem.
Zuckerberg San Francisco General (ZSFG), recently renamed for the Facebook founder after he donated $75 million is the largest public hospital in San Francisco and the city’s only top-tier trauma center. But it doesn’t participate in the networks of any private health insurers — a surprise patients like Dang learn after assuming their coverage includes a trip to a large public ER.
In other words, if you are a patient who suffers from a major accident or debilitating migraines – somehow you are supposed to figure out a way to tell the ambulance drivers to take you to a hospital that WILL accept your health insurance. WOW.
Needless to say, given that information, I’d treat Newsom’s healthcare plan with a great deal of skepticism.
As for announcing that California is now a full bore Sanctuary state? I’m sure that Corporal Ronil Singh’s family was delighted to hear that news…NOT.
Newsom promised Sanctuary to all who seek it. But does he have plans to put more infrastructure and resources in place to handle the influx? Doesn’t look like it.
Border security is definitely needed. Our Border Patrol is hurting for resources to aid in dealing with the increase in families trying to enter into the U.S. The Border Patrol needs resources to help identify if the children that arrive are actually A. children, B. with their actual parents, C. healthy.
But what does Gavin Newsom do? Grandly waves his hand, dismisses the very real security concerns, and throws the doors wide open – no questions asked.
Well, more than a few Californians disagree with his stance and are channeling the Yellow Vest protests in France.
A group that calls themselves “New California” wore yellow vests and urged President Donald Trump to end the state’s sanctuary policy.
The move comes after Officer Ronil Singh was allegedly murdered by an illegal alien the day after Christmas.https://t.co/gVmbyu8OMe

While I can understand the frustration and concerns regarding border security and the issues that arise from unchecked illegal immigration, I am concerned that the US version of ‘Yellow Vest’ protests could turn violent.
Newsom had pledged to remove the CA National Guard from the border. He might want to hold off on that for a bit.
Gavin Newsom has given his state and the country a very clear signal. American citizens don’t count. Those here illegally do. Is buyer’s remorse setting in yet?

And he wonders why Kimberly Guilfoyle left him.
When the President gets the wall built, it needs to go between californication and the US, NOT them and Mexico…It does sound like they got as bad a deal as we did here in Colorado with “our” new governor
“Life and sacred honor time” may be fast approaching, at least as far a California is concerned.
Is Newsome becoming governor the beginning of the Left’s endgame?
Since I’ll never live in California, nor pay California state income taxes, and since no one in my family has any desire to move there, I say “Well done, Newsom! May California tempt every single illegal in the US to move there!”
So he has no problem aiding and abetting illegal aliens, those that have gone against our laws those not willing to do things legally and a state that is willing to do things illegally itself. I dont see one reason why one dollar of taxpayer money outside of california needs to be spent in california, we can make due without them because its evidently clear california doesnt give one ioda what the rest of the nation thinks, they are absoutely good with weakening the safety of Amreicans by bringing in ILLEGALS to bump those in line LEGALLY to claim citizenship, to bump those in line LEGALLY who have earned or are qualified for govt benefits, the ILLEGALS are being brought in as voters is the basis for the whole idea of sanctuary cities at the cost to REAL Americans, people in california need to wake up your state run govenrment is showing you what they think of you and you are second in line, you traded one governor for another just as bad or worse, you all need to wake up.
One more thought actually a question for all residents and voters in california, please advise or let the nation know exactly what it is this governor has done for YOU???
[…] Victory GirlsCalifornia Governor Gavin Newsome is picking up right where Jerry Brown left off. Driving California off the cliff. In his inaugural address yesterday, he announced that California will provide sanctuary and healthcare for all those here illegally that is.He's going to pay for it by taxing legal citizens. I'll say it again because it needs saying. If illegal immigrants were not voting, politicians would not be pandering to them. […]
I recall the British tried something similar. ANYONE in the U.K. Needing medical services was entitled to the free medical services in the U.K. To the best of my knowledge, this policy has been, for reasons unknown, non-operational for a few decades. It is, to the best of my knowledge, now limited to citizens. Perhaps California might do well to study that bit of History. WHEN WANTS ARE FREE THEY TEND TO MULTIPLY.
