Fauci Flips On Lockdown Damage And China
How much longer until Dr. Anthony Fauci finally gets off the national stage? His 15 minutes of fame got extended to 30 minutes of fame, and now he would like to keep it going in perpetuity, because he is SCIENCE.
Fauci is famous for his flip-flops – or rather, he’s notorious for them. Is there a single position in his professional life that Fauci hasn’t changed his mind about? (Other than his own superior intellect, of course.) Not all that long ago – and I mean less than a month ago – Fauci said with a straight face to Neil Cavuto that the lockdowns didn’t “irreparably damage” the kids.
Cavuto: "Do you think shutdowns particularly for kids who couldn't go to school that it's forever damaged them?"

Well, fast-forward to this week. SURPRISE, Fauci now admits that HE KNEW that there would be “negative consequences” to the lockdowns, and in particular, to kids.
In one segment of his talk, the doctor spoke about his guidance in instituting “draconian” pandemic guidance knowing full well there would be “collateral” damage stemming from it.”
He then justified his harsh COVID guidance, including pushing the federal government to mandate lockdowns, masking, and later, vaccination, because hospitals were being “overrun.”
“Of course, when you make recommendations, if the primary goal when you’re dealing with a situation where the hospitals were being overrun in New York, intensive care units were being put in hallways, you have to do something that’s rather draconian,” the doctor admitted.”
He continued, “And sometimes when you do draconian things, it has collateral negative consequences, just like when you shut things down, even temporarily, it does have deleterious consequences on the economy, on the schoolchildren. You know that.”
Fauci confirmed he risked these harms, adding, “But you have to make a balance when you’re dealing with — we know the only way to stop something cold in its track is to try and shut things down.”
“If you shut things down just for the sake of it, that’s bad,” he said, adding, “But if you do it with the purpose of being able to regroup so that you can then open up in a more safe way, that’s the best way to do it.”
Shorter Fauci: “We really didn’t know what we were doing, so we had to shut everything down even though that was harmful because SCIENCE.”
I would sit down and tell Dr. Fauci about the “collateral negative consequences” that my family has experienced, but I don’t think I would be able to do so without being arrested. How nice for him to be at the pinnacle of power, making those life-and-death decisions for all us little people who were too stupid to do our own risk assessment, to claim that there was no “irreperable damage” in one breath, and then say that of course there were going to be “deleterious consequences.”
But lest you think that the aged doctor has lost a step, here’s another earth-shattering revelation from Fauci: he’s pretty sure that China knows more than they told the world about COVID-19, everyone.
To which everyone else said, NO SHIT, SHERLOCK. Fauci came up with this brilliant observation during the same talk on Wednesday. My, he’s just FULL of revelations right now, isn’t he?
Dr. Anthony Fauci says he’s dedicated to “keeping a completely open mind” about how the coronavirus first emerged in Wuhan, China in 2019, but he still wishes he had more information to go on from the Chinese government.”
“You wanna keep an open mind that it could have been anything that happened,” Fauci said Wednesday during a conversation with Atlantic editor Ross Andersen. “But the evidence that they have been working on for years strongly favors a natural occurrence.”
Andersen also asked Fauci whether he thought the Chinese government could help “clear this up” once and for all.”
“Yeah,” Fauci said.”
But the doctor was careful to note that he was only referring to “Chinese authorities” stonewalling, and not average Chinese citizens, nor his scientific colleagues in China, who he said “have made major contributions to our knowledge.”
“The fact is, as a society, when something occurs that looks like — even if it’s naturally coming out of China — they will be secretive about it,” Fauci said of the Chinese government. “Because of this feeling that they’re gonna get blamed for something.”
Fauci then laments that if only they could get into China and do some proper “surveillance,” then the Great Medical Experts™ might be able to figure out where COVID-19 came from. Oh well, guess we’ll never know!
It is beyond time for Fauci to sit down in front of a Congressional panel, preferrably run by Senator Rand Paul, with those TV cameras and bright lights that he loves SO much, all trained on him. He wanted to be “The Science” and he nearly succeeded in being a little dictator, all while being paid with taxpayer dollars from now until he dies. The American public has suffered “collateral negative consequences,” and now we want some damned accountability for it.
