China Travelers Must Test Negative For Covid Before Entering U.S.

Suddenly it’s ok to require travelers from China to test negative for Covid before entering the United States.

The United States will require all travelers from China to show a negative Covid-19 test result before flying to the country as Beijing’s rapid easing of Covid-19 restrictions leads to a surge in cases.

Passengers flying to the US from China will need to get a test no more than two days before flying, federal health officials said, and present proof of the negative test to their airline before boarding.

The tests can be either a PCR test or an antigen self-test administered through a telehealth service.

China has been all in these last years trying to get to Zero Covid. The government is finding out that that wasn’t working and is quietly relaxing their own internal requirements, and is no longer publishing case numbers.

China has stopped publishing daily COVID-19 data, adding to concerns that the country’s leadership may be concealing negative information about the pandemic following the easing of restrictions.

China’s National Health Commission said in a statement that it would no longer publish the data daily beginning Sunday and that “from now on, the Chinese CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention) will release relevant COVID information for reference and research.” The NHC did not say why the change had been made and did not indicate how often the CDC would release data.

Now China is letting people travel around the world without the restrictions that have been in place for so long, and lifted the quarantine requirement for tourists and business people traveling to China. Which led to this story out of Italy.

Nearly half of the passengers on two recent flights from China to Milan tested positive for COVID-19, Italian health officials said on Wednesday.

About 38 percent of passengers on one flight into Milan’s Malpensa Airport tested positive for COVID-19, as did about 52 percent of those on a second flight, according to local officials in Italy’s Lombardy region.

Here’s the kicker, despite what the headlines say, testing requirements won’t be put into place until at least January 5th. There are already several flights that have landed or will be arriving with passengers from China on board, so requiring travelers to test starting nine days from now? Lots of urgency here. TONS.

Yet this is being put into place because of concerns over China’s lack of transparency.

Officials also fear Chinese leaders are concealing Covid death figures. Most important, the lack of genomic data available from China has raised fears of a new strain. Some fear the situation could put the world back at ‘square one’ of the pandemic.

It echoes the situation in early 2020, where China was reluctant to inform the world of the true scale of the viruses outbreak. By the time the US did close travel from China in early February, thousands of potentially-infected passengers had already made it into the states.

Again, there’s LOTS of urgency here.

However, if one really steps back and takes a look at things, Covid has essentially circled the world at least two times if not more. Due to China’s dictatorial zero Covid policies which kept people masked and locked INTO buildings, is it any wonder why people are getting the next strains there? That said, it’s ok for the U.S. to put restrictions on China NOW because of Covid.

Yet when President Trump shut down all travel back in 2020 and referred to Covid as a “foreign virus,” Joe Biden was part of the pack who screamed at him for being xenophobic and racist.

There’s still a great deal we don’t know about the origins of Covid due to China’s secrecy, nor do we know how effective or ineffective the vaccines actually are.

But seeing how much trouble China is in right now, the country lifting many of its restrictions, and suddenly the Biden Administration is targeting travelers because of Covid concerns is more than a bit hypocritical if you ask me.

Yes, while the restrictions might be warranted, the lack of urgency over this, the media cheerleading for this, and the entire Pot meet Kettle hypocrisy is galling.

Didn’t you hear? Covid is fake.

Not at all, it’s a very real test run of a bioweapon engineered by Fauci and the Chinese, funded by global “elites” like Soros, Gates, etc.

Milan was the epicenter of the pandemic in Italy in the spring of 2020 due to the influx of Chinese living and working there in the fashion industry. But that story was squelched. But, now? STFU!
