In their latest piece of journalistic excellence (cough), The New York Times (NYT) sits down with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) to discuss a Presidential Run in 2028.

In the bizarro world we live in, this has become our reality. AOC. A woman who thinks everyone wants to sleep with her, who cries about $7 dollar croissants at the airport, blames white supremacy for domestic terrorism, all while telling people to “pull up to the South” in between doing Instagram reels about taxing the rich whilst noshing on bougie wine and cheese is seriously favored for a presidential run in 2028. Ms. Ocasio-Cortez revealed the electoral equations she is crunching and the mental ‘math’ she is calculating as she approaches the biggest crossroads of her political career.

Her gender. Her ethnicity. Her electability. Her eggs. Her movement. Her moment.”-Shane Goldmacher, The New York Times

Mental math. Hey, bartender? You may need to pour us all a stiff drink here…

There’s an argument that some make that this is a very unique political window and, oftentimes in politics, you do only get one shot. And you don’t — and just in life in general — life doesn’t wait for you to be ready for things. Sometimes life just makes things ready for you.”-AOC

The question remains, is America (and the world), ready for this?!

I think about it personally. I am 36, I’m about to turn 37 years old — and what that means for my life.

Pretty candidly, I think about my identity. I’m not naïve to the fact that we are living under a very regressive administration, and I happen to be a woman, and I, you know, happen to be Latina. And I think that there’s a lot of conversation about electability, and I don’t kind of shy away from those realities.”-AOC

She thinks. We are living under a very regressive administration? If this is indeed the case, what the hell were we under Joe Biden? The Big Guy hired a cross-dressing luggage thief as a nuclear official. Let’s not forget the “Admiral” in a dress, Dr. Rachel Levine, who was the assistant secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Holy Christ. But okay, Sandy. You’re a woman. A Latina. And, why would you shy away from that reality if it gets you elected?

We’ve gone from bad to worse. Hillary Clinton. Kamala Harris. And now…AOC? It’s a good thing Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez is rooted in this reality…

It may or may not be related, but I absolutely empathize with the heartbreak that people feel around that and, frankly, how those women were treated.”-AOC

She is speaking about Hillary and Kamala. How those women were treated pales in comparison of how those women treated others. These glaring facts did not help these women at a presidential run. They were terrible candidates. They were unlikeable candidates. And, AOC is not an improvement upon this trend.

This country has never elected a female president. Why are we pretending that this is not a factor? That doesn’t make it impossible, but to act as though it’s not a factor in anything ever is really a form of, like, denialism.”-AOC

Like, denialism. Again, reference the likability of Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris above. This is why the country has never seen a female president.

Former advisor to Obama, David Axelrod, took the time out to speak of AOC’s “motivations”:

She is very honest in her communications. It’s what makes her disarming. Her bottom line is producing something for the people she’s fighting for, so I think this decision is partly seen through that prism.”-David Axelrod

I am holding back a snicker on this. She is, like, soooo disarming. She fought for Queens. No one needed those stinking Amazon jobs, anyway.

Despite the “headwinds in identity and gender”, AOC is being poised as Bernie Sanders Jr. Woke 2.0 (which is so much better than Woke 1.0). She’s ready. But are we?

How goofy! AOC throws out yet another ignorant statement with no basis:

In the meantime, she could grab some tricks from the ol’ Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris playbooks and yell at the voter base when she’s not points ahead and adopt a few inspirational catch phrases to create joy and vibes. Macklemore can join her on her keffiyeh campaign trail.

But, are we truly ready for this dumbassery? Lest we forget these faces…

As the Gray Lady and her readers wait with anticipation for an AOC run in ’28, the Congresswoman says that if she were to run, it would be “all or nothing”.

It’s very all or nothing. If I were to run in this cycle, and not win, I would be done.”-AOC

Oh, Dear God! In this case, PLEASE let her run. Maybe, after losing and several bottles of Shiraz, she will exit the political limelight, unfreeze her eggs, get a biology lesson on giving birth, and then be able to actually define what a woman is. Can’t wait to hear the New York Times’ take on that.
