California: Calling Leadership Incompetent Is Not Racist

As the death toll from the fires climbs in California, Mayor Karen Bass and other leaders fall under more scrutiny.

Now, I know I may be told to “sit down” once again by some random reader as I highlight this.

Alex Marlow of Brietbart raised an interesting question on Friday. He stated that Los Angeles had backwards priorities. Marlow highlighted former mayoral candidate, Rick Caruso, who went on record to say poor preparation by elected officials, (Bass being one of them) may not have prevented the fires but could have mitigated some of the damage.

Why is it that the expectation for Democrats, in particular, is that they only prepare for when things are going great? … And what Rick Caruso was talking about on the campaign trail was not when things were going great and we’ve got a great fire department and now, can we get a few more Latinx Q+s in there and some four-spirit furries over at the police force?”-Alex Marlow

Let me be clear. Let me say this. In another clip, Mayor Bass called upon Los Angeleans to “come together” and “bridge political divides”, that “she is doing everything she can” (after returning from Ghana).

Some will claim Ms. Bass is nothing but another California DEI hire. And now, others, are saying this claim is racist.

Act Your Age co-stars Yvette Nicole Brown and Kym Whitley defended Bass as calls for her removal from office skyrocketed Saturday.

She’s got a spine of steel, and she’s been a black woman in America for a really long timeNone of this is new.”-TMZ

A “spine of steel”, eh? And, excuse me, “she’s been a black woman in America for a really long time?” Yeah, ladies, lots of black women have been “black women in America for a really long time”. Karen Bass has been a “black woman in America” and a California since the day she was born.

Of course, their implication of the attacks on Karen Bass, and the calls for her resignation are rooted in raaaaaaacism.

We have fires every year, and I don’t remember in the almost 30 years that I’ve lived in LA, I’ve never seen everybody react like this to the mayor and blame one person for a natural disaster. Now what’s different this time?”-Yvette Nicole Brown

Let’s connect the dots, all…

She is also not the mayor of every municipality in California, there are people mad because she didn’t fix the fires in Malibu. She’s not the mayor of Malibu. What is she supposed to do in a city she’s not the mayor of?”–Yvette Nicole Brown

The destructive fire started in the Pacific Palisades, which is a neighborhood in Los Angeles, which is the city at which Mayor Bass is at the helm. If there were enough resources, maybe, just maybe, the damage could have been mitigated? Maybe, just throwing this out there-if there were enough resources, the fire may not have reached Malibu?

I want to be very, very clear. Yes. We took a $17-million budget cut. And as we know, any budget cut would negatively affect our ability to carry out our mission.”-Los Angeles Fire Chief Kristin Crowley

Yet, some will continue to say this is a race issue.

Stand behind her, support her, because you can see it in her face she stays calm. Think about this, she has the city to take care of, she doesn’t have time to hear what these reports are saying.

This is not the time to blame, it’s time to get some resources, she has reached out far. We have planes coming in from other countries to help us.”-Kym Whitley

Fair enough, Ms. Whitley. We’ll not only blame Karen Bass, we’ll also blame the white guy with the hair gel who is also an incompetent knucklehead. But, alas, this is how the left thinks. Get a diverse group of people in state and local governing entities. Don’t worry about their qualifications; they can “fake it until they make it”. Then, when a catastrophe happens or if their flaming (literally, in this case) incompetence is illustrated by utter disaster, call the people highlighting their inabilities “racist” and stoke the flames of division even more.

Mayor Bass, according to these two women and their ideology, should be absolved of any mismanagement and wrongdoing in this situation simply because she is a black woman and it is racist to call her out on any negligence. Karen Bass IS culpable in this disaster but to highlight the disaster in California and in our blue states, we look to the white guy. And, we look to another white guy who is getting ready to exit the Oval Office stage left (Or is itstage right? He doesn’t know where he is going.) in a little over a week.

Alex Marlow, highlights an important observation. Democrats, in particular, only prepare for when things are going great. In other words, they don’t prepare AT ALL. This is not about race or melanin. This is not about sexual orientation or preference or feels or vibes or JOY. They continually focus on the wrong things. Voting should be about WHO can get the job done. Here, we have a black woman in office who couldn’t get the job done. We have two white guys in office, one in California, one in D.C., who ALSO could not get the job done. Why? It can be argued that this mentality, held sacred by the left, is what ushered in another era of Donald J. Trump.

It’s not because our country is loaded with a bunch of raaaaaaacism and racists, I can tell you that. Incompetence knows no bounds. Even a rainbow-puking unicorn knows that. It’s too bad some humans don’t. Come again, who needs to take a seat?
