Black Chiefs of Police Cancelled By Black Lives Matter

Well done, Social Justice Warriors. In the last few months, three black chiefs of police have been cancelled by Black Lives Matter. Chief Carmen Best of Seattle, U. Renee Hall of Dallas, pictured above, and La’Ron D. Singletary of Rochester, New York have resigned. Who could blame them? These American heroes worked their way up through law enforcement only to run into the solid brick wall of ideology and vested interests.

The Victory Girls are big fans of law enforcement well done. In Seattle, Chief Best was the only adult in the room, as I wrote. She resigned after she ran into Liberal, white, woke Mayor Jenny Durkan and the city council’s vote to cut police funding by 14%. Way to go, Seattle. Do you hate powerful black women?

Speaking of powerful black women, Dallas Police Chief Renee Hall was lured to Dallas from Detroit, Michigan where she rose through the ranks. Her father, Ulysses, was law enforcement and working a prostitution and gambling case when he was killed. Chief Hall’s inherited a severely understaffed department and the non-peaceful protests after the George Floyd death in Minneapolis didn’t help recruiting. She has tendered her resignation. From Fox 4 News:

Her resignation comes in the wake of criticism of the department’s actions against peaceful protesters on the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge earlier this summer. Officers used tear gas and projectiles on the protesters, who were then arrested en masse. They were later released with allino charges, but public criticism of the department was some of the most intense in DPD’s history.

Hall’s resignation letter makes no mention of that incident involving Black Lives Matter protesters, but does make allusions to the challenge the department has faced. Hall previously gave herself a “C-“ grade in how she handled the protests after the death of George Floyd, including the incident on the bridge.

“These past three years have been saturated with a series of unimaginable events that individually and collectively have never happened in the City of Dallas,” Hall wrote.

And, in a trifecta of black chiefs, yesterday, La’Ron Singletary of Rochester sent in his letter of resignation along with that of his top staff, as Deanna wrote yesterday.

In his retirement letter, Singletary wrote: “For the past two decades, I have served this community with honor, pride, and the highest integrity.

“As a man of integrity, I will not sit idly by while outside entities attempt to destroy my character. The events over the past week are an attempt to destroy my character and integrity. The members of the Rochester Police Department and the Greater Rochester Community know my reputation and know what I stand for. The mischaracterization and the politicization of the actions that I took after being informed of Mr. Prude’s death is not based on facts, and is not what I stand for.”

Those outside entities that Singletary mentioned are none other than Black Lives Matters. That chirping sound you hear are the BLM folks defending these black chiefs of police. BLM is spreading anarchy just as much as Antifa.

With the Defund the Police calls and the disrespect to cops shown by civic leaders and BLM, how will we get men and women of any skin color to take a job in law enforcement. In this video, Portland Officer Jakhary Jackson describes how he got into law enforcement and the challenges he faces from, most especially, wypipo:

You heard that right. A person of color in the neighborhood wants to have a conversation with Jackson and a white person will say, “Eff the police. Don’t talk to him.” He is right about history repeating itself and about folks hurting black owned businesses. It has turned into something else. White anarchists and the Marxist BLM have taken over the movement.

Instead of using black using black chiefs of police as resources, as wise counsel, they are being cancelled. Their voices are being silenced. If we want to make policing better, if we want better officers, like the ones mentioned here, we need to stand up for law enforcement.

Anarchists don’t like, support, or want any police, of any color.

Scott: “And communists / fascists want THEIR police..”

You left out ‘secret’ as in Stasi, or NKVD or KGB – pick your socialist/communist dictatorship – they’re all essentially the same and make people ‘disappeear’.

Time to edit carefully after using speech to text rather than quickly posting. Points are good but lost in the errors.

She resigned after she ran into more Liberal, white, more woke Mayor Jenny Durkan
FIFY. Sorry, but no one has demonstrated to me she wasn’t progressive – because so many police chiefs are. (“Up through the ranks” does not require her to have been promoted based on good, constitutional policing skills.)

    allino charges
WTH are “allino charges”? A quick search of the web turns them up in all of two places – both (nearly identical) stories about the riots there. Not a single definition page or legal website.

The mischaracterization and the politicization of the actions that I took after being informed of Mr. Prude’s death is not based on facts
How long you been a cop, man? And you’ve never seen this before?

BLM folks defending these black chiefs of police
Why would they? They are anti-police – it’s why they were formed. Remember – they aren’t even interested in all black lives, just the ones taken by cops – illegitimately or not.

Marxist BLM have taken over the movement
Which movement? The OMG-Police-Are-Killing-Black-People movement was always marxist, always designed to create anarchy and allow an elite to rule over us with fear and intimidation.

we need to stand up for law enforcement
The electorate first has to stand for moral self-governance, or standing up for police will simply lead to more authoritarianism. (Notice how the riots have turned the discussion away from actual police reform on the ‘right’ side? That’s on purpose.)

    • Scott says:

“John Adams in a speech to the military in 1798 warned his fellow countrymen stating,

“We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion . . . Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.””

I think that pretty well covers your last point GWB
