A ceasefire??!! Wow. Evidently The Squad wants Israel to just let Hamas terrorists have free rein. Israel cannot be allowed to A. defend themselves and B. retaliate when attacked. That’s according to the heinous resolution the Squad drafted yesterday.
More than a dozen far-left House Democrats called for an end Monday to the nine-day-old war in Israel with a resolution that referred to the Oct. 7 Hamas terror attack as “armed violence” and made no mention of American hostages held in the Gaza Strip.
The “Ceasefire Now Resolution,” — introduced by Reps. Cori Bush of Missouri, Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, Andre Carson of Indiana, Summer Lee of Pennsylvania and Delia Ramirez of Illinois — demands that the Biden administration “immediately call for and facilitate deescalation [sic] and a cease-fire to urgently end the current violence” and “promptly send and facilitate the entry of humanitarian assistance into Gaza.”
No, this isn’t a joke. Yes, they are serious.
They want, no they are demanding that Israel agree to a cease-fire ASAP.
“I am grieving for every Palestinian, Israeli, and American life lost to this violence, and my heart breaks for all those who will be forever traumatized because of it. War and retaliatory violence doesn’t achieve accountability or justice; it only leads to more death and human suffering,” said Congresswoman Bush. “Today I am introducing the Ceasefire Now Resolution, vital legislation that calls for de-escalation and an immediate ceasefire in Israel and Occupied Palestine, and for humanitarian assistance to urgently be delivered to the 2.2 million people under siege and trapped in Gaza. The United States bears a unique responsibility to exhaust every diplomatic tool at our disposal to prevent mass atrocities and save lives. We can’t bomb our way to peace, equality, and freedom. With thousands of lives lost and millions more at stake, we need a ceasefire now.”
Well Cori, the only “occupier” of Palestine is the Hamas terrorist group. Israel has been sending evacuation warnings to those who live on the Gaza Strip for days now. Will anyone with The Squad pull their heads out and ask WHY Egypt and now Jordan and Saudi Arabia are saying NOPE to letting any Gaza citizens in?

Could it very possibly be that neither of those countries wants to run the risk of having an actual terrorist show up and start something?
As for The Squad’s blather about humanitarian aid into Gaza…
“The loss of every Palestinian, Israeli, and American life we have seen in the past week is absolutely devastating and the grief and trauma in our communities is palpable. The murder of innocent Israeli civilians by Hamas is horrific and unacceptable. And the murder of innocent Palestinian civilians is a horrific and unacceptable response,” said Congresswoman Pressley. “With over 2,600 Palestinians, more than 1,400 Israelis, and 30 Americans killed, scores of others wounded, hostages’ lives at risk, and millions in Gaza lacking food, electricity, and clean drinking water, we must pursue an immediate ceasefire to protect civilians and save lives. The United States has a moral obligation to get Americans in Gaza and Israel safely home, save Israeli and Palestinian civilian lives, and ensure humanitarian assistance is provided to Gaza. Our shared humanity is at stake and we must move with urgency.”
Are they going to ask where and how all the money the Biden Administration sent to Gaza has gone? And yes, the Biden Administration has funneled a LOT of money to Gaza in the last couple of years.
The agency received over $15 million from partnering UN countries in 2021 and it lists the United States as a ‘top government donor’ on its website.
Goldberg said that the Biden administration has given roughly $1 billion to the UNRWA, which spends about 38 percent of its budget on Gaza.
Therefore, the U.S. has subsidized Hamas to the tune of $380 million since Biden took office and restarted funding to UNRWA, he said.
Yes, astoundingly and infuriatingly, the UN has refused to label Hamas or Hezbollah as terrorist organizations! Well, $380 million dollars funds an awful lot of humanitarian aid. Right? And a lot of weapons.

Meanwhile, AOC tried to explain her support for this cease-fire resolution last night.

And here we thought Kamala was the queen of word salads!! That said, this ceasefire resolution is garbage, and is being promoted by people who’ve already, on multiple times, displayed their anti-semitism proudly. Ilhan Omar is a prime example.

What do you think Israel is doing?
It’s working to dismantle a terrorist organization that has claimed the lives of thousands of innocent civilians from all over the world.
It’s plain as day that this so-called ceasefire resolution is very lopsided, and it will be very interesting to find out who votes for it.
Meanwhile, as The Squad bleats on about Gaza and demands that Israel stands down, where are they when it comes to advocating for the thirty Americans killed by Hamas and those still stranded in Israel? Their silence is VERY telling on that issue as well.

That being said, the longer the Israeli’s delay the start of their ground attack, the more this kind of racist crap is going to take hold. They need to get about the work of making the area safe.

The Jerusalem Post suggested that the IDF have delayed the ground assault while they ensure that they won’t leave other areas vulnerable to attack, primarily in northern Israel next to the Lebanese border, where Hezbollah are.

NTSOG says: A cease fire? While Hamas still launches rockets at Israel, one of which was a misfire and landed on a Gaza hospital.
As for “…humanitarian assistance into Gaza” it has long been my belief that the residents of the Gaza strip are hostages themselves to be used by Hamas as bargaining ‘chips’ to manipulate gullible Western journalists and left-leaning politicians. That is, Hamas attacked civilians in Israel knowing that the Israeli response would be severe. Inevitably civilians in Gaza will be killed. The death of civilians in Gaza will allow Hamas to play the victim card against Israel. The citizens of Gaza are useful and expendable bargaining chips in the power struggle. In fact, for Hamas the more civilians/citizens from Gaza that are killed incidentally by Israeli force of arms, the better politically on the world stage.
I call them the squadristi, which was the name that Italians used to refer to Benito Mussolini’s ‘Black Shirts.’ The singular is squadrista.
