The Biden campaign is playing its last card on COVID, hoping to scare voters everywhere into breaking for Grandpa Joe and “masks now, masks tomorrow, masks forever” approach.

Remember that during Thursday’s debate, Biden declared that America was in for a “dark winter” regarding COVID. The attempt to spread doom and gloom was obvious from ol’ Joe, who let his vice presidential candidate sow doubts about vaccines during her debate, while complaining the vaccine wouldn’t come soon enough during his own debate.

“We’re about to go into a dark winter. A dark winter,” Biden said. “And he has no clear plan, and there’s no prospect that there’s going to be a vaccine available for the majority of the American people before the middle of next year.”

Clearly, the campaign thinks the “dark winter” line is a good one, because they had Biden pull it out again while campaigning in Pennsylvania today.

While Pennsylvania has been an important swing state up until this point, the Biden campaign is feeling a little bit more urgency about it since the debate. Hmmm… I wonder why that is?

Team Biden knows it has to do damage control in Pennsylvania, because not only did Joe vow to move away from fossil fuels during the debate, but Trump brought the receipts of all the times that Biden and Harris have repeatedly lined up with the Green New Deal and vowed to end fracking. So Grandpa Joe is in Pennsylvania, trying to convince them to vote for him, because he didn’t really mean what he said about fossil fuels, and we’re going into a “dark winter” and he will be a president for all.

Except for those “chumps” in the back who are protesting against him.

Yeah, excellent cough at the end there, Joe. Choking on your own ego, perhaps? Go wash your hands, superspreader.

But yes, your ears do not deceive you. Captain Unity here is all for the people, even the “chumps with a microphone out there.” Wow. As others have pointed out, that sounds awfully “deplorable” of Biden. I’m sure that this won’t be a problem for him, especially in Pennsylvania, where he is already attempting to fix his boo-boo from Thursday night.

This closing pitch from Biden is not the least bit convincing or confident. Telling everyone that “winter is coming” and that if Trump is still president, people will just keep dying from COVID-19 because ORANGE MAN BAD seems rather desperate compared to President Trump, who wants to open up the country and has beaten COVID himself thanks to new therapeutics. But Team Biden knows that any good news on the COVID front benefits the president, not Joe. So it’s time to pull out the full doom-and-gloom scenario, aided and abetted by the media, to scare people into voting Biden.

At least everyone but those chumps in the back.
