The Hunter Biden story was a non-starter by CNN. They went into overdrive to bury the story even as the NY Post was getting hammered for publishing it, and was censored by Twitter for two weeks.

Here’s how CNN covered the story. First of all, the headline tells us that CNN regards the information about Hunter Biden and the laptops as “dubious.” Tater-head Brian Stelter called it “political entertainment,” and “serialized drama.”

“”This is a classic example of the right-wing media machine,” Stelter said. “Fox and Trump have this in common: They want you to stay mad and stay tuned.”

 

The story is a “manufactured scandal,” Stelter said, meant to feed “whataboutism” — an opportunity for the right-wing media to shift the conversation from Trump’s record to Biden’s.”

Wolf Blitzer got into the act as well.

Therefore anyone who watches CNN religiously was told there was nothing to see here, move along and VOTE for that Biden dude!

As our readers know, we wrote about the Hunter laptops and the NY Post getting censored several times. Something key to remember through all of this is, if the laptops and the data contained on them was really part of a Russian disinformation campaign, why didn’t the Joe Biden campaign come roaring out of the basement with furious denials? Instead, the Biden campaign worked themselves into pretzels to NOT address anything about Hunter, the laptops, Joe’s role…the silence is STILL deafening!

Project Veritas somehow managed to get CNN’s call-in number and log-in. They’ve been listening to CNN’s internal daily morning briefings for over two months now. 

Yes, we know that CNN went to bat for the Biden campaign. But now we know WHAT they did to bury the story. 

“On the morning of Oct. 14, the day we published an email from Hunter’s abandoned laptop in which a top executive from corrupt Ukrainian energy company Burisma thanked Hunter for arranging a meeting with his then-VP father, CNN political director David Chalian is heard telling Zucker and his underlings that the news network would not cover the story.

“Obviously, we’re not going with the New York Post story right now on Hunter Biden,” said Chalian. “We’ll just continue to report out this is the very stuff that the president was impeached over . . . that Senate committees looked at and found nothing wrong in Joe Biden’s interactions with Ukrainians.””

CNN went even further when Tony Bobulinski went public. Zucker ordered CNN to kill the story entirely. Therefore in a search, you find multiple mentions of CNN ignoring the story for over twelve hours, and then barely reporting on it. Other MSM outlets, such as The Washington Post, did their best to pass the story off as one last gasp by the Trump campaign to win votes. 

By going into such contortions to protect their guy, their BIG GUY!, CNN and others also worked to ignore a damning report issued by Senators Ron Johnson and Chuck Grassley that specifically outlined how Hunter, Joe, and other members of Joe’s family benefitted from Hunter’s work with Burisma. Including the fact that the wife of the former Mayor of Moscow funneled MILLIONS to Rosemont Seneca, of which Hunter Biden was a board member. 

What CNN and many of their friends in the industry are now doing is whining about how these secret recordings are maybe a felony and everyone with Project Veritas should go to jail. Uh huh…about that. 

It’s amazing that CNN had no problem aggressively running with secretly recorded audio tapes of the First Lady non-stop for weeks, but has a serious problem when someone does the exact same thing to them!

Here’s the thing about this regarding CNN. Jeff Zucker effectively muzzled the press. And the entire CNN newsroom let him do so. Freedom of the Press? Nope. It’s Zucker’s way or the highway evidently, and amazingly those fabulous “journalists” at CNN are totally ok with it. 

In fact, they are so ok with all this that Chris Cillizza went to bat for Zucker.

The head of a news network ordering reporters to not cover news, with nobody on call pushing back, should concern independent journalists.

The reports surrounding Hunter Biden, Burisma, Joe Biden, the laptops and more are definitely news worthy and should be reported on and continue to be investigated. Unless you are CNN. Then, freedom of the press has limits. Those limits include burying stories that make their chosen basement dude look bad.
