Woke America Needs New Heroes In The New Year

The faces of woke America in 2020 grace check-out lanes in stores everywhere. Besides Oprah, who humbly places herself on every single one of her magazine covers (humility, Oprah, humility), we’ve seen the likes of Colin Kaepernick, Megan Rapinoe and soon, 16 year-old climate activist, Greta Thunberg.

And lest we not forget, former First Lady of Woke, Michelle Obama. Saw her at the check out stands just the other day:

Megan Rapinoe, whilst donning the Team USA uniform, cast the colors aside to do a victory dance. She then, donning sunglasses to mask a hangover and partaking in a bit of the hair of the dog to celebrate the team’s victory, delivered a speech:

But it’s time to come together. This conversation is at the next step. We have to collaborate. It’s takes everybody. This is my charge to everybody, ‘Do what you can. Do what you have to do. Step outside of yourself. Be more. Be better. Be bigger than you’ve ever been before. If this team is any representation of what you can be, when you do that please take this as an example. This group is incredible. We took so much on our shoulders to be here today, to celebrate with you today. And we did it with a smile. So do the same for us. Please, I ask you.

New York City, you’re the mother f#cking best.”-Megan Rapinoe

“Be better”, she said, all whilst kneeling for the National Anthem and saying she was not going to the “f#cking White House”. So woke.

And how can we forget woke, pig-sock-wearing, former San Francisco 49-er, Colin Kaepernick? An individual who has the ultimate privileged life whining about privilege. Kaepernick became the face of Nike’s “Just Do It” campaign, graced magazine covers for his “heroism” and still acted like a whiny little brat and changed the venue of a practice that was scheduled to accommodate him. The NFL is finally done with Kaepernick and interestingly enough, football has become more enjoyable.

Just a few days ago, Time magazine announced Greta Thunberg will grace their covers as “Person of The Year”. The teen, en route to return home to Sweden from the COP25 UN climate conference, threw shade at German rail company, Deutche Bahn for overcrowded trains when in fact, the rail company seated her in first class. The company apologized at first to the teen, then went on the defensive:

Dear Greta: Thank you for supporting us railroaders in the fight against climate change! We were happy that you travelled with us on Saturday in the ICE 74 … but it would have been even nicer, had you also reported how friendly and competently you were looked after by our team at your seat in the first class.”-Deutche Bahn

Thunberg traveled in first class on at least one leg of this journey. Side bar: aren’t crowded trains a good thing, Greta? You wouldn’t want to be supporting any flying machines now, would you? But then again, had you supported air travel, you would have had a seat and hence, no reason to whine about sitting on the floor with your baggage like the commoner you claim to be (with the desire to be treated as an elite)!

The incessant victimhood, peppered with foul language from some and passive-aggressive (and sometimes downright aggressive) social media presence is where we are today-in large part, thanks to the role models our media outlets are pushing forth. This is creating a culture of butt-hurt, uber-offended, out-of-touch “activists” in our local communities. Take this example from Seattle as of late:

As if a transgender stripper is going to solve the problem of toddlers finding dirty heroin needles on the streets of Seattle. Can we venture any further away from attacking this problem first-hand? Yet someone thought this was an effective use of taxpayer dollars. Someone thought this somehow was relevant to combatting this problem. Someone attempted to logically correlate a transgender stripper performance as a remedy to combat homelessness in a city. Do you see what I am getting at here?

To the woke masses, logic is lacking. This is the direct result of someone who cannot put two and two together. As we go into 2020, we need to ask why this is the case. Uttering phrases like “be better” whilst cussing out the President of The United States is completely commendable in their light and they don’t even see the irony in any of it. Meanwhile, child athletes are watching and taking cues from the pink-haired powerhouse. Let’s see how they fare when an opponent on the field or later on in life in the workplace pisses them off. On neighborhood watch pages, we see instances of teenagers cussing out and occasionally, picking fights with law enforcement. Looking at the pictures on these sites, these teenagers are donning $200-plus Nike sneakers and on their way to becoming statistics in a system. Don’t tell me at least one of their idols isn’t a cop-hating athlete or rap artist. Kids are walking out of classes in the name of “protest” on Fridays. Long weekend, anyone? Parents are encouraging this behavior. And some parents are either downright exhausted, feeling like victims themselves or just too damn LAZY to talk to their kids about their role models of late and the path they are going down. Instead, they coddle them and allow them to be victims. Victims of a “corrupt” society. Victims of racism, sexism, discrimination, a toxic environment-even their own parents’ attempt at discipline. They continue to be victimized-hurt from the realities of life that stem from their OWN poor decisions and given privileges instead of consequences because of these decisions. These parents allow them to play on their victimhood by giving in to their every whim-even when it is physically and emotionally damaging to them. They indulge them completely in their neuroses (real or made-up), they have every single excuse in the book for their bad behavior and lack of social graces tied to their garden-variety of “spectrum” diagnoses and they allow them to play their peers into thinking they are the victims on their personal social media outlets. “Life sucks for them right now”, they say. “It cannot be helped”, they say. They are totally reluctant to call the “role models” on their bullsh#t and their own kids on their bullsh#t. Heck, they can’t even see past their own bullsh#t.

2020’a role models have emerged. These role models are so “woke”. What, pray tell, have they awakened besides division, hate and a culture of antagonistic, self-important, pretentious victims who are unable to see past their own vanity and what is really going on around them?

Oh, but it IS, dear. You see, the real work being done isn’t on housing the homeless, it’s on breaking down all the moral structures that supported Western Civilization, so they can bring in their own moral code and create their own civilization in their own image.

To the woke masses … their own bullsh#t.
    Whoah, long paragraph.

They indulge them completely in their neuroses
And sometimes they force their own neuroses onto the children.
(And, btw, very confusing on pronouns there, with multiple antecedents.)
[No, not that kind of pronoun trouble.]
    {More like THIS kind of pronoun trouble.}

Yes, the media-pushed ‘heroes’ are nothing of the sort.
Fortunately there ARE real heroes out there. Let’s do what we can to promote them properly.
Let’s also teach them to be their OWN heroes – to get out there and be the makers and doers in the real world, not the fantasy one on their phone screens.

Lord of the Flies comes to mind immediately.
