The UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House on Sunday was definitely a spectacle. According to the FBI, there were those looking to make it a different kind of spectacle.
According to the FBI, five people have now been arrested in a terror plot to attack the White House during the event, with the intention of targeting “capitalists,” “billionaires,” and politicians who had gotten donations from AIPAC. Oddly specific, yet how is this any different from any run-of-the-mill leftist podcaster railing against rich people and “the Jews” using AIPAC to control politicians? And if these terrorists had gotten their way, it would have been mass carnage and death on the White House lawn and all over Washington D.C.
Five people were in custody as of Monday, and investigators identified 23 people as part of a potential network of plotters. The alleged plan involved using explosive-laden drones to hit buildings near the event, force a mass evacuation and steer crowds toward a pre-staged sniper team, officials said.
A “second wave” was then allegedly planned to storm the White House gate, according to officials.
The five people arrested have been named, and there are likely more arrests to come as the FBI combs through the evidence.
The FBI first learned of the threat on June 10 and worked with partners to secure probable cause for an arrest in Cincinnati, where one suspect was taken into custody. Court documents identified the suspect as 19-year-old Tycen Proper.
According to a criminal complaint, Proper allegedly spent $3,000 of his “graduation money” to purchase “lots of” ammunition, guns, extra magazines and other items for the alleged attack.
Authorities estimated that several boxes of ammunition that Proper had allegedly acquired contained thousands of rounds. It is also alleged that Proper acquired an AR-style rifle, a bullpup rifle painted with the American flag and two plate carriers with AR-style magazines. His family voluntarily turned over the equipment to law enforcement.
His father told officers that Proper had quit his job to meet up with people he had met online to conduct “missions” and “recons,” according to the complaint. It said that Proper’s mother had first alerted authorities over concerns about his recent alleged firearm purchases and communications with individuals online.
It sounds like Tycen Proper’s parents were the ones to raise the alarm, and while that must have been devastating for them to do so, it’s clear that if they had not, something very, very bad may have happened at the White House. Because the suspects are not limited to Proper’s immediate friends or the Cincinnati area.
Two others, identified as Bryan Omar Roa and Michael Alan Thomas, were arrested in California for alleged involvement in the plot. Both men were charged with conspiracy to commit murder. They appeared in court on Monday in Riverside.
Daniel K. Eskridge, of Kansas City, Missouri, and Abraham Hermosillo Alvarez, of Omaha, Nebraska, were also arrested.
Court documents say Eskridge’s wife told investigators he described himself as a recruiter for the group and had amassed tactical gear, including a rifle, ammunition and other equipment, in recent months. She also said he built a firearms range on his property about three weeks before his arrest and that she was aware of his Signal communications through messages that appeared on a shared tablet.
Multiple sources told Fox News that those in custody are American citizens, and a foreign nexus was not involved.
Domestic terrorists are every bit as dangerous as foreign-born ones. And this was an extensive network.
Some of the suspects traveled to Fredericksburg, Va. on June 12 or 13 to make preparations for the attack.
Upon investigating a suspect’s iPhone, authorities found at least 23 users of encrypted chat app Signal involved in discussing parameters of what could have been a devastating terror attack in the heart of the nation’s capital.
A suspect told investigators the goal of the attack was to target “capitalist elites,” “billionaires” and politicians who received money from the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), officials also said.
If these terrorists had even been remotely successful, there could have been thousands murdered on a scale larger than 9/11.
The high-profile combat sports extravaganza coincided with President Trump’s 80th birthday, and was attended by around 4,300 people, including 1,200 active-duty service members.
An estimated 80,000 to 85,000 more fans attended a ticketed watch party on the Ellipse just south of the executive mansion, while thousands more without tickets gathered on the National Mall to try to catch a view of the seven-fight card on giant screens.
FBI Director Kash Patel praised law enforcement for their efforts in stopping this terror plot.

Here’s an honest question: at what point does the left look at itself and think about their rhetoric? The honest answer is, of course, never. They never will.
Bernie Sanders talking points, nine years after an assassination attempt of members of Congress on a baseball field. No different than a Platner rally speech. https://t.co/omMh1Rka0h pic.twitter.com/gqjpRBfY1k

One only has to look at the fangirl worship of Luigi Mangione to realize that the left sees violence and murder as a means to an end, and that end is their political goals. Those in office, like Bernie Sanders, never directly tell their followers to commit crimes. Podcasters like Hasan Piker dance perilously closer to that edge, and someday, some idiot will cross that line. I am certain that the cases against these five terrorists, and anyone else who is arrested in this case, will show an online radicalization that will lead back to voices on the left who have a shocking disregard for life, if those lives happen to have larger than usual bank accounts.
How do we process this kind of news, after the event has passed, the targets are no longer present, and the threats to the White House and the public have been arrested (or will be arrested)? It’s very easy to brush this off as “no harm, no foul,” even though, just like at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, there was a very large threat that could have done a lot of harm, and that only one Secret Service agent was shot is incredible. And yet the public has largely forgotten about that. First off, we should be grateful to those who saw something and said something, even though the someone involved was their own son. Second, we should be thankful to law enforcement for taking the information given to them seriously, and uncovering a much more extensive plot than anticipated. And finally, we should be pleased that the White House UFC event went on as planned. President Trump, when reacting to the White House Correspondents’ Dinner attempted shooting, was perfectly right when he said that the event has to be rescheduled and go on. There will always be threats – we just have to pray that they get caught in time, as they were this time.
