The BIDEN Administration Started The Newsom Investigation, Not Trump

Gavin Newsom is throwing a tantrum and is stepping on every single rake he can find. Yesterday he went public with a diatribe against the Trump Administration. How DARE they investigate Gavin and his wife, Jennifer! Only one problem. This started during the Biden Administration.

His immediate claim that this was weaponized law fare against he and his wife, Jennifer, because Gavin is running for President raised all sorts of flags for me. First, that was essentially a declaration that he is ACTUALLY running.

Secondly, for him to blame the Trump DOJ for an investigation that Newsom doesn’t go into detail on was quite a red flag. I mean, if the investigation was bogus, why not call it out in its entirety?

And that was the first rake he found. The second rake involved the type of investigations and WHERE the investigations started.

The Justice Department has multiple open investigations around Newsom, according to two people familiar with the probe, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss an ongoing law enforcement matter. They said the investigations date back at least a year.

The investigations emerged from law enforcement officials in California — and not in Washington, according to the two people familiar.

One of the investigations is examining Newsom’s wife for potential tax crimes related to a nonprofit she is linked to, the people said. Another investigation is related to a case involving Newsom’s former chief of staff, who pleaded guilty in May to public corruption charges that include conspiracy to commit bank fraud.

In fact, it’s more than one rake given the scope of the investigations that started … IN California and DURING the Biden Administration. Gavin doesn’t want anyone to really focus on any of that. His wife isn’t handling the situation any better.

Jennifer Siebel Newsom has snapped back at a Department of Justice probe into her and husband Governor Gavin Newsom.

California’s First Partner branded the move an attack on she and her family and moaned President Trump had “no boundaries” in his pursuit of them.

She said: “There are clearly no boundaries to what Donald Trump will do to get his way or to challenge those who get in his way.”

“This is not presidential behavior, and the Governor and I will continue to speak truth to power because the American people deserve so much more.”

Her response came after Newsom accused Trump of directing the DOJ to investigate him, his wife and other family members as an act of political retaliation as he considers a run for president in 2028.

Sources close to Newsom have told other media outlets that the investigation focuses on nonprofit projects connected to Jennifer Siebel Newsom, one of which The California Post revealed in March has received millions from special interests doing business with Newsom and the state.

Here’s another rake for Jennifer and Gavin. They were evidently completely fine with the Biden Administration’s “unpresidential behavior” when these investigations first began.

So the gaslighting attempts at damage control aren’t working. Nor is the fact that Newsom keeps digging.

This could be one of the reasons why the investigations into Jennifer and Gavin started well over a year ago.

Newly released IRS filings reveal that First Partner Jennifer Siebel Newsom and her production company, Girls Club LLC, have collectively received more than $3.7 million over the past decade from The Representation Project—the nonprofit she founded in 2011 to combat gender stereotypes through films and advocacy.

According to a detailed Daily Mail investigation published today, Siebel Newsom draws an annual salary of $150,000 as Chief Creative Officer, while Girls Club LLC receives another $150,000 yearly for licensing her documentaries Miss Representation and The Mask You Live In, for which the LLC holds the copyrights.

In the fiscal year ending March 2024, the organization reported roughly $1.7 million in gross receipts, with executive compensation—including payments to Siebel Newsom, her LLC, Executive Director Caroline Heldman ($150,000), and CFO Debra Garber ($131,942)—totaling $581,942, a figure critics call disproportionately high for a charity of its size.

Over 13 years, these combined payouts represent up to one-third of the nonprofit’s annual revenue in some periods. Neither the Newsoms nor The Representation Project responded to requests for comment.

RedState’s Jenn Van Laar has been tracking the Newsoms’ shady business dealings for years now. And boy howdy, they just reek.

Yes, there’s all sorts of red flags with those two. And his use of taxpayer resources for what is a personal matter isn’t a good look either.

Gavin is demanding all access to all the documents regarding the investigation into he and his wife. Want to bet it’s because he wants to identify the whistleblowers who have stepped forward?

The fact that he had to pay over $31,000 over an ethics fine isn’t helping him either.

Gavin can blame Trump all he wants. The reality is, this started in California during the Biden Administration.

It seems the golden couple has a bit of tarnish to their shine.
