Walk Away And Embrace Love And Life

Republicans, as a group, have been maligned as racist, bigoted and homophobic. The Walk Away campaign proves that is just not true at all. On Saturday, I attended the Million Maga March, and on Sunday, I attended a rally at John Marshall Park in Washington, D.C. that proved what scurrilous lies the media tells about us.

The Million Maga March was enormous, no matter what the media tells you. The Walk Away Campaign held a Rescue America Rally that was much smaller, but had far better speakers. Walk Away Campaign founder Brandon Straka has recruited the coolest, funniest, most articulate people ever to his organization. I mean that in every possible way. Ricky Rebel led us in a rousing version of “M-A-G-A”. I am in there dancing and singing and having too much fun.

Speaker Dr. Karlyn Borysenko, an organizational psychologist, reminded us to be kind to our Liberal friends. Eventually, the light bulb is going to come on for them and they will need care to help them get over the lies they have been told all their lives. Well, it was funny when she said it.

C. J. Pearson has been blogging since he was eight years old. He is now 18 years old and proudly cast his first Presidential ballot for President Donald Trump. He is also a student at the University of Alabama, but I won’t hold that against him. Go Vols! Pearson could be President of the United States or he could end up doing just what he does now, commenting on the political landscape and that would be wonderful.

The video of the event is four hours long. If you don’t have time to watch the whole thing, I urge you to scroll through and watch snippets of different speakers:

Now, go back to the video and find Shemeka Michelle. Just stop when you see the black woman with dreads. Miss Michelle handled the “church break” portion of the rally. And, my sisters and brothers, she took us to church. She quoted Thessalonians and she quoted Luke 8:17:

Nothing is hidden that won’t be exposed. Nor is anything concealed that won’t be made known and brought to the light.

And, she urged us to “Stand Firm”.

Brandon Straka put this hootenanny together. I lover me some Brandon Straka. He was great. I was talking to a woman from West Tennessee at the hotel Saturday night. I asked her if she was going to the Walk Away Rally on Sunday. She said no because someone else in the MAGA movement told her that Brandon likes to be on television. I am here to say that I don’t give a fat rat’s backside if he spends every waking minute begging to be on some visual platform. Good for him. He is fun. He is joyful. He had a true conversion moment and he is real. Jealous people can go join the Democrats or get over their jealousy. Boom.

Also, Brandon was correct. We cannot go back to the way Republicans were. We cannot go back to the Bushes, Romney, or my personal bete noir, Christine Todd Whitman.

I am going to finish this up now. If you read my post on the Million Maga March and you read this one, I hope that you will take away one thing: Joy. Everything about the weekend with my fellow patriots was joyful. That is until darkness fell and the cockroaches came out. Nina told you about the violence committed by BLM and Antifa, but blamed on MAGAts. The rioters were never as mad at Trump as they are at us, his voters.

If you want to be angry and unhappy, be a Democrat. If you want a joyfilled life, Walk Away and embrace love and life.

Living in the mountain west near a well known resort, I occasionally come in contact with wealthy coastal elites having come to “get away from it all.”

A couple of months ago, I spoke with a 75 yr old Jewish woman. She was born in NYC and works most of her life in LA with the movie industry. She said she had voted Democrat all her life and voted for Clinton in 2016. But this year she was voting for Trump.

Why the change? She said she was tired of the negativity, depression, and bile. She watched the first night of the Dem convention and said the production was terrible and the message was a downer. Despondent, she didn’t watch any more.

The next week, though, she tuned in to the Republican convention to see what they were offering. She said the difference surprised her: the presentation was top-notch, and, above all else, it was joyful. Yes, she used the same word.

She said, “those are the people I want to be with.”

Happiness and joy are contagious. It’s visible to everyone. Which is why those who would keep us controlled want us to cover our faces.

The left only hates Trump because he stands between us and them.. The things that happened at these rallies prove that.
Glad you were able to attend, and that you enjoyed the weekend. As you point out, the left has nothing but anger and misery. Conservatives are the people that believe in hope and love.

Once again, thanks for all you ladies do!

Yes, on the joyfulness. It’s always been evident that even when complaining, ‘conservatives’ have been the happier people. It’s why we do things like pick up after our marches (and after the other guys’!). It’s why we can get together with 2,000 armed people and there’s not a shooting in sight, while the ‘left’ has a Stop The Violence event and it turns into a shooting.

Of course, that negativity is what happens when you turn politics into your religion. When, instead, your religion is your religion and your politics is your politics, you live a much happier life.

Which, again, is why we advocate small gov’t: so that politics can be a small part of your life, instead of your whole life.

I’m glad you had fun, Toni.

(Oh, this is probably a good post to bring up a now-defunct organization that really got going back during Bush’s term, I think. “Protest Warrior”. They printed up the absolutely best parody signs and took them to the left’s protests. They blended in, but oh they were so perfect. We need more like this. http://www.protestwarrior.com/)

We’ve tried not being a part of the Left – hard to avoid. Although, now that our kids are not automatically under the thumb of the Leftist Education Establishment (individual teachers are often NOT on board with its dictates, but are not able to push back effectively), we have an opportunity to help raise the first generation in a long time that will not be programmed by the Leftists, paid for by the taxpayers.

I maintain that the effort from here on is LOCAL, COUNTY, and STATE. If the boards (generally appointed at the county/state level) are not automatically composed of Leftists-in-Hiding, decisions such as rules for counting the votes, sending out ballots without asking, and maintaining chain of custody of voter choice would be in reliable hands – and by reliable, I mean people who would be too principled to steal the vote for their candidate.

Get to know (and contribute to) your state reps and senators. Work with them – if they have that support, they don’t have to sell their soul to big money interests, and can better represent you at the state.

Help the good guys to get the word out – volunteer some time at the local office, help with distribution of campaign material, and – most importantly, make yourself indispensable in the off-season.
