PRIVACY!! That’s been the hue and cry of Harry and Meghan for over six years now. Turns out, they wanted PRIVACY! so much that Meghan floated the idea of running for U.S. Senate. As in, Kamala Harris’ seat.
I probably should’ve given everyone a keyboard alert for that knee slapper! Sorry. Not. Sorry.
The fact is, there were rumors about Meghan having political aspirations not long after they burned all the bridges down in 2020 with their LOOK AT MEEEEE!! move to the U.S.
And then, they found more bridges to burn with that atrocious interview with Oprah. An interview that aired while Harry and Meghan, Harry especially, KNEW his grandfather was dying. But they went ahead anyway and leveled baseless racist accusations against the Royal Family and staffers, knowing full well that any response would gin up the media machine even further.
It was this ‘bow’ that turned me completely against her. How disrespectful can you be. https://t.co/nNccyXmXxX

And Harry just sat there instead of saying ENOUGH and kicking the interview to the curb. SHAME on them both for that.
Now, suddenly, as Carol wrote here, there’s a big ole U-Turn coming. Back to ye Olde English soil they go!
However, as they are heading back to their old stomping grounds, we find out that there’s more to the political aspiration rumors than we thought.
Delusional Prince Harry and Meghan Markle sought US political clout far beyond the dreams of any British royal since King George III, The Post has learned, with the Duchess of Sussex angling to take over the Senate seat held by Kamala Harris ahead of the 2020 presidential election.
Weeks before Democrat Joe Biden’s win over President Donald Trump, a source says, Markle requested a sitdown with California Gov. Gavin Newsom because she “wanted to be considered to be appointed” to the seat held by Harris, which she vacated just before becoming vice president on Jan. 20, 2021. The source added that the discussion was publicly described as a welcome-to-California chat to head off potential inquiries.
It is unclear just how far Markle’s appeal got with Newsom, who appointed California Secretary of State Alex Padilla to replace Harris two days before her swearing-in as Biden’s second-in-command. Padilla subsequently won election to a full six-year term in 2022.
A Sussex source firmly denied that Markle wanted to take over the Harris seat, while a rep for Newsom did not respond to a request for comment.
A memorandum from Newsom’s office that surfaced in February 2021 confirmed the governor had an “introductory meeting” with the royal couple on Oct. 19, 2020, though the specific topics discussed were not disclosed and the Democrat’s team characterized it as a social occasion. It was not immediately clear whether Markle asked to meet with Newsom separately post-election.
I have to wonder if Gavin thought having a meeting would actually get him into close proximity to the Queen or Prince Charles (at the time)? I wouldn’t put it past him.
It’s quite the reversal from 2020 when they arrived in the U.S. and, as I mentioned above, spectacularly burned a metric ton of bridges.
Upon their arrival in North America — and their campaign to take down the British royal family in favor of creating their own rival institution — the Sussexes were lavished with praise and resources from the likes of Tyler Perry, who loaned them a luxurious place to stay and Oprah, who gave them primetime access to exact their revenge on the institution that didn’t indulge their every whim.
Every possible door was flung open for them and a red carpet promptly rolled out. The duo reportedly signed a $60 million deal with Netflix and a Spotify one worth $25 million.
Meghan launched her self-righteous “Archetypes” podcast. Harry wrote his whinging memoir, “Spare.”
In a stunning f-you to Queen Elizabeth as her husband, Prince Philip, was then on death’s door, Markle, who is biracial, complained to Oprah that her in-laws questioned how dark her unborn son’s skin would be. She also falsely claimed that the child, Archie, was denied a title like his cousins. (Why one would want their son to have a title from a racist family is beyond me.)
Both of them cast their net far and wide to find the “work” that would net them money and prestige while also demanding PRIVACY. Run a cooking show? Check. Make jams. Check. Sell some sort of wellness something or other. Check. Appear on political ads. Check

This is a couple whom, if the reports are true, thought Meghan had a chance as a U.S. Senator (and yes, she’s a citizen), wanted meetings with Joe Biden, and supposedly requested a ride on Air Force One after Queen Elizabeth’s funeral. If that last part is true, the shameless gall of her grandson and his wife is beyond the pale.
Given everything that has transpired with Meghan Markle and Harry since the two first met, I truly wouldn’t put it past her to have floated the idea of running for office. Quite arrogant of her to aim high without doing the work.
Then again, Kamala aimed high without doing the work and failed. Meghan would be the same.
Everyone knows that Meghan, particularly, will NOT change an iota of her playbook. She will continue to be obnoxious, lying about everything, disruptive where she can be, playing the victim, flaunting tradition with glee, craving attention and media coverage…

She'll NEVER… https://t.co/mETPM9v0CF pic.twitter.com/Z6sL6TRr2G
Two entitled spoiled brats have realized their schtick wasn’t working in the U.S. So now, they are running back to England. They won’t be working Royals. So one would presume they’ll have to get jobs. Good luck with that.
