Spin Doctors Are Not Real Doctors
President Trump made a visit to the doctors at Walter Reed Hospital last weekend. Once the media found out, the spin cycle was engaged faster than you can say “warp speed.”
According to the White House, it was simply an unscheduled start to the routine physical. Very boring stuff.
The president’s medical appointment wasn’t listed on his Saturday public schedule, and his last physical was just nine months ago. Press secretary Stephanie Grisham said the 73-year-old president was “anticipating a very busy 2020” and wanted to take advantage of “a free weekend” in Washington to begin portions of his routine checkup.”
Grisham followed up Monday night tweeting a memorandum from the president’s physician, U.S. Navy Cmdr. Sean Conley, who described Saturday’s visit as a “routine, planned interim checkup as part of the regular, primary preventative care he received throughout the year.”
Conley said that due to scheduling uncertainties, the trip was kept off the record. He said after a little more than an hour of examination, labs and discussion, the president visited with medical staff and the family of a soldier undergoing surgery.”
Wow. So much drama. This clearly sounds like a president who is on the verge of a major health collapse – if you believe all the spin doctors of the media, who clearly are SO brilliant that they got their medical degrees at the same time that they got their journalism degrees.
For any president, a sudden trip to the hospital would raise questions. But such scrutiny was magnified with a president who has a history of exaggeration and playing loose with the facts, giving skeptics room to run with their own theories.”
“The one thing you can be absolutely sure of is this was not routine and he didn’t go up there for half his physical,” tweeted Joe Lockhart, a press secretary under President Bill Clinton, who was himself impeached for perjury and obstruction. “What does it mean? It means that we just won’t know what the medical issue was.”
The press is heavily invested in removing Trump from office any way they can. If that means impeachment, fine. But it would be so much more convenient for them if the president had a health condition that invoked the 25th Amendment. Which means that they are all medical doctors when it comes to discussing this president, because they are just so convinced that with Trump, a cigar could never just be a cigar.
The media trotted out both their own opinions…
It's times like these when the White House really needs to have credibility. Times like these – when the president suddenly turns up at Walter Reed military hospital. Here's what I said on @ReliableSources pic.twitter.com/ymcyo07C7D

… and their own doctors. Both Obama’s and Dick Cheney‘s doctors were brought in to speculate on “WHAT COULD BE WRONG HERE???” along with the CNN resident medical expert.
Now, remember, this is the same media that won’t ask Bernie Sanders anything about his health other than “how do you feel?” after the man had a heart attack during this primary season. This is the same media that scoffs at questioning Joe Biden’s mental fitness when he can’t remember what state he’s in or what decade he’s talking about. This is the same media that screamed and threw an absolute tantrum when we DARED question Hillary Clinton’s health, both in the moment of her collapse, and for questioning her official explanation later. The double standard would be hilarious, if it wasn’t so dangerous.
How many times have we seen self-appointed medical experts sit on TV and try to assess the president’s current state of health, both physical and mental? I’ve lost count. Let’s face it, President Trump could have gone to Walter Reed to address a hangnail on his big toe, but if he released that to the press, they would have ten doctors on the air in under half an hour proclaiming that a hangnail on the toe is proof of poor circulation, due to an ill-fitting shoe, which means the president is having blood pressure issues and swelling and OMG TWENTY-FIFTH AMENDMENT NOW!!!
The media doesn’t seem to realize that they are the embodiment of the Boy Who Cried Wolf, and they keep doing it over and over and over again for different issues (“Racism!” “White supremacy!” “Health problems!”) on only one side of the aisle. They are also the embodiment of Sergeant Schultz, as they see and know nothing wrong with the other side of the aisle. And then they stare at the poll numbers and wonder why people don’t trust the media anymore. It’s a mystery.
