#Olympics2018: Snowbunny Lindsey Vonn Drops Out Because “No Chance of a Gold Medal”

This is the reality we live in. A reality where kids can grow up to be whoever they want and whatever they want to be. Doctors, lawyers, Olympic competitors.

They have parents who have poured their blood, sweat and tears to get them training on the ski hills of their hometowns to represent the U.S.A. But what does our generation of entitlement do? They denounce the President, boycott opening ceremonies because they were not chosen to represent and now, refuse to compete because there is no chance of them winning a gold medal!

Yep. Lindsey Vonn, Ted Ligety, and Mikaela Shiffrin have refused to participate in a team event scheduled for the last day of Olympic competition because — as Vonn reportedly put it — there was no chance the team was going to medal.

Olympic skier Mikaela Shiffrin withdrew from the downhill competition on Monday after the women’s Olympic Alpine combined was moved up to Thursday because of weather.

Then again, Lindsey Vonn did not want to represent anyway so who’s really surprised here?

“Well, I hope to represent the people of the United States, not the president. I take the Olympics very seriously and what they mean and what they represent, what walking under our flag means in the opening ceremony. I want to represent our country well. I don’t think that there are a lot of people currently in our government that do that.” –Lindsay Vonn in an interview with CNN on December 7, 2017.

Representing your country well, Lindsey, is competing despite the slim chances of taking home a gold, a silver or even a bronze. Representing your country well means good sportsmanship and a “show must go on” attitude. Heck, I’ll give the North Koreans kudos where credit is due. I don’t see any happy cheerleaders whining about living in a dictatorship. They’re smiling and cheering while people in their country are starving dying and you, Ms. Vonn are pulling out of a game because there is no chance of you winning? Really? And for all of the empowerment and inspiration people like to say you give to young women, this is your motto? “If you can’t get gold, don’t even bother”. Wow.

Perhaps you could stand to draw some inspiration from our neighbors in Mexico:

Or from Vanessa-Mae:

Here’s the deal. They did not come in first, second or even close to third but they finished. And they represented their countries with pride despite this. They did not throw in the towel and say “I’m not competing because I’m not going to win”. That’s what freaking five year-olds do. Well, Lindsey. No love lost and no hard feelings, right? You didn’t want to make that visit to the White House anyway. I guess you showed that Mr. Trump, didn’t you?

I didn’t watch The Olympics this year. Why watch more spoiled entitled babies cry about everything because they’re so mistreated, boo hoo. Just like the spoiled man-child mentality of professional football. Life is so unfair, woe is me. Hopefully these “athletes” weren’t only from the USA. And then they think Trump is the cause of disrespect for this country from other countries, witnessing this kind of attitude.

  • Scott says:

Lindsey Vonn and the others mentioned are IDIOTS… that is all

  • Appalled By The World says:

This year has been different for me watching the Olympics-I’ve been booing all of the crybaby “Americans”. Maybe I can cheer ALL of the Americans in 2020 like I used to but I won’t hold my breath on it.

  • SFC D says:

I can give Mikaela Schiffrin some slack on this, weather affected scheduling of events in her case. Lindsay Vonn, however, is a spoiled brat that should’ve been benched for unsportsmanlike like conduct. She represents only herself and never should’ve been allowed to compete in the Olympics. A good coach would’ve pulled her.

  • Brian Brandt says:

I miss the good old days when the U.S. competed against the Russians in a proxy Cold War battle at the Olympics. Since the break up of the Soviet Union it just hasn’t been the same.

  • Chshi says:

Special Olympics move over. We now have the Special Special Olympics. Poor little snowflakes.

    • Jennie says:

At least in the Special Olympics, those athletes all do their best, cheer each other on, and compete like true champions. You won’t find any of them complaining about the wonderful opportunity that has been given to them. Too bad all athletes don’t play like that.

  • Timmy says:

Shameful. How many tax dollars and donations did she take.

  • Bandit says:

Like Ms. Vonn said – she represents herself – the best of America?? Maybe not.

  • GWB says:

I hope to represent the people of the United States, not the president
Well, that’s exactly right. She represents the country. So, why are you pitching a hissy fit about the politics of our country? I don’t think you grasp what you just said.
(And I’m guessing what it means in her head is “I hope to represent all the people who think like me, because I don’t like the other people’s ideas, and therefore they don’t count as Americans.” Which means she’s a petulant moron – and that’s a bad combination.)

Representing your country well means good sportsmanship
You mean, like respecting the electoral college results, because those are the rules? Naaaah, we can’t have that!

And, Vanessa-Mae? The violinist?!? Wow! Gorgeous, talented musician, and an Olympic skier? Very cool. And, yeah, she at least finished.

As to Miss Vonn and the others, if I were the US Olympic Committee, they would all be banned for life from the olympics for that little hissy fit. I would even insist that whoever had the contract for covering the olympics be banned from hiring them as commentators, and sponsors not be allowed to take them on as spokesmen. Lifetime ban for being bad sports.

Glad Lyndsey lost. Just have to wait for her to get through her sex-tape-phase, and then she is gone from public for good.

  • Bob Cody says:

First off, LOVE the VictiryGirls!! As far as Lindsey Vonn goes. her and all the other snowflake morons ( Olympians or not) have a very warped sense of ideology. They are not patriotic, they are selfish, Spoiled, and uncaring. You have no pride. If you did you would’ve competed whole-heartedly to the very end regardless of your chances of being on the podium at the end. I’m ashamed that we sent someone like you (prideful only if your self image) to represent the United States of America to the world. I agree with GWB that all who use the Olympic stage for political purposes should be banned for life. Shame on you for tarnishing the ideals of Olympic competition

  • Joe says:

What spoiled brats you parents have raised, especially Lindsay Vonn. The world is In trouble with these generations of non disciplined entitled brats. Parents need to discipline their kids. Our parents did, and we are just fine and respectful of others. Lindsay Vonn is way too young to know Donald Trump and his accomplishments. She listens to all the fake news bombarding the country, and now she’s smart. You don’t disrespect the leader of your country and participate in the olympics. Hope this girl is done forever. Guys if this spoiled brat proposes to you, run for the hills.

  • Bob says:

Pathetic. All reflexes and no character.

  • tess says:

She is amazing at her age w all her injuries so give that. I have no problem w her disliking Trump, or anyone else saying so, but because of it she has been crucified basically. She isn’t marching on gun control when knowing nothing about what they are marching for, she expresses how she feels. She is not Obama and his Communist organizers. Having said that, congratulations to her and all who won Medals, and if they choose to not attend the WH celebrations so be it. It is they who look foolish whether they are right or wrong on opinions they look foolish for not attending.
