In what was called unprecedented, Trump-backed Ed Gallrein, a former Navy SEAL and Kentucky farmer, defeated Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky in a nearly 10-point victory.
Trump had his share of things to say about Mr. Massie:
Massie thought he had the momentum. So, he said:
I’ve got the groundswell here, like my events. I’ve got 100–200, sometimes 300 people show up. My opponent had to cancel events because he couldn’t get enough people, you know, to fill up a Dairy Queen, half a Dairy Queen.
We’ve been able to match them to go toe-to-toe with them on TV using grassroots donors, and it’s really galvanized the nation.”
In a word: OOOOFFF.
Massie voted against Trump’s landmark tax cut and spending law. He all but chanted “release the files” with the Democrats. He voted against the resolution condemning Hamas for the October 7 massacre. Ro Khanna endorsed him for Chrissakes. The Democrats wanted him to win, BIGly. If one is hard-pressed to celebrate a win for Ed Gallrein, here are your reasons and your blessings to do so.
Why else did the “honorable and it took a while to find Ed Galleria in Tel Aviv” (yes, he went there) Thomas Massie lose? This, from TownHall:
Massie continued his ‘honorable’ concession by staying that, rather than being rejected by his district, his seat was bought, and again concluded that Gallrein and company ‘used a lot of dirty tricks’ while his campaign ‘we never threw a foul ball.'”-Joseph Chalfant, TownHall
“We’ve been honorable” right after he tells an anti-Jewish joke.

And, if that wasn’t bad enough, Massie also threw in a weird throuple joke into his concession speech when talking about his wife voting this morning:
She voted this morning, and she came out, and she said, ‘Well, that was a wild experience. That was great. I never imagined that would happen.’ And I said, ‘What happened?’ She said, ‘I got to vote for my husband and my favorite congressman.’ I said, ‘That’s practically a throuple!’”-Thomas Massie
Seven years on the taxpayer’s payroll is more than enough for this clown. He may want to start entertaining more pursuits. Like, maybe a stint a late night talk show host. He’s about as dry and un-funny as one Jimmy Kimmel or Stephen Colbert. But, then again, Massie may feel called to a higher duty:
The delusion… couldn't even win the primary

Why else did Thomas Massie lose? This helps put it all into perspective:
That’s because our ‘problem’ is no longer local representation — it’s protecting our country from an increasingly radicalized Democratic Party. As the Democrats have embraced socialism, Wokeism, and trans/LGBTQ policies, Republican voters have recoiled in horror. We want our party to protect us from their madness.
And that’s an all-hands-on-deck challenge.
Today, we expect a Republican district will send a loyal, dependable Republican representative to Washington. Helping our GOP ‘team’ is considered part of the job. And given how narrow the margins are, we’re unwilling to sacrifice a roster spot for someone who refuses to play ball.
It’s a luxury we can no longer afford.”-Scott Pinsker, PJ Media
Massie took pride in being “libertarian”. He also took pride in rejecting everything as of late on the Trump agenda, and, subsequently, garnered the support of those on the very far left. Massie has been wrong on Israel, he’s been wrong on Iran and in general, wrong on most of his positions as of late. He was not a loyal, dependable Republican. He has been feckless and unwilling to stand with the President and his party of affiliation. He has not protected Americans from their (the Democrats’) madness and insanity. He’s collected a paycheck and has been content to be the opposition because he hates Trump. There are many like him. And Kentucky is a true illustration of those who have grown weary of the RINOs.
Seems as if Thomas Massie has some more free time on his hands in the upcoming days. Perhaps he and Ro can hit up the local Dairy Queen.
