The Democrats and media are having a field day gaslighting people over Florida’s so-called “Don’t Say Gay” bill. It wasn’t enough for the media and Florida democrats to run with that narrative, now the Biden Administration is fully on board with the gaslighting.
According to Education Secretary Miguel Cardona, this legislation is “hateful.”
“Parents across the country are looking to national, state, and district leaders to support our nation’s students, help them recover from the pandemic, and provide them the academic and mental health supports they need. Instead, leaders in Florida are prioritizing hateful bills that hurt some of the students most in need,” Cardona said in a statement Tuesday.
“The Department of Education has made clear that all schools receiving federal funding must follow federal civil rights law, including Title IX’s protections against discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity,” the statement said. “We stand with our LGBTQ+ students in Florida and across the country, and urge Florida leaders to make sure all their students are protected and supported.”
Jen Psaki offered her two cents during today’s press briefing.

The media and Florida Democrats have certainly acquitted themselves in dubious glory over this. Here’s just a few of the media headlines:
Florida Just Passed The “Don’t Say Gay” Bill — Time
‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill passes Florida Senate — BBC News
Florida lawmakers pass ‘Don’t Say Gay’ — ABC News
Florida House passes ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill — NBC News
Florida House passes controversial “Don’t Say Gay” bill — CBS News (only Republican bills are “controversial”)
‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill passes in the Florida House — NPR
One would think from all the gaslighting from the Democrats, the media and even entertainers such as Patton Oswalt, Judd Uptow, and Mark Hamill, that the bill is completely homophobic and could keep all gays in the closet in perpetuity. Except that is 100% wrong on every level. As for the Democrats in the Florida legislature, they need some serious help.
It seems entirely reasonable that parents in Florida and elsewhere wouldn’t want their kids’ elementary schools turned into…whatever this is. https://t.co/LnopfwdlTh

Is the word GAY in the legislation? No. Not anywhere.
Secondly, what does the legislation ACTUALLY say??
Classroom instruction by school personnel or third parties on sexual orientation or gender identity may not occur in kindergarten through grade 3 or in a manner that is not age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards.
Or, as MSNBC points out midway through their report:
Specifically, the bill bans any classroom instruction on gender identity and sexual orientation from kindergarten through third grade. It also prohibits such teaching “in a manner that is not age appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students,” which opponents say could be applied to all grade levels. Under the law, parents could also sue school districts for alleged violations.
Read the above again, the legislation specifically prohibits teachers or third parties from TEACHING children (pre-K through 3rd grade) about sex, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
Think about it this way. Are 4-8 year olds really mentally ready to be taught/schooled/indoctrinated about their gender identities and sexuality? No, no they are not. They are just figuring out how to figure out their ABC’s, simple math, learn to play nice with their peers, and learn how to share.
As a parent and grandparent, I know for a fact that most children that age certainly aren’t even considering let alone TALKING about their sexuality or gender identity! Oh, but what about those stories of children, such as the young boy in Texas whom we’ve written about, who is transitioning to a girl? Every single one of those stories has one thing in common, the PARENT who is choosing to damage their innocent child.
One of the drivers of this legislation is the fact that some schools have tried to ignore parental rights over their own children.
Harding said the origin of the bill lies with another bill, passed last year, on parental rights. Since then, he said, some state school districts have tried to get around the law’s requirements that parents be notified of significant developments involving their children. “We are seeing school districts saying we are going to include the parents, parents have rights, but only on certain issues,” Harding said. “And on issues of gender or sexual orientation, we’re going to exclude the parents.” Harding sent along a form from one Florida district that covered “gender identification,” “gender change,” and “assigned sex at birth” and also gave school officials the option not to notify parents of such issues involving their children.
What this legislation aims to do is ensure that TEACHERS don’t overstep parental bounds on this. And I heartily agree. Let the children be…..CHILDREN! Not pawns in the misguided and damaging culture wars. The government should NOT be involved in the sexuality of children. Period.

Again, the word Gay is nowhere to be found in the bill, yet the lies and gaslighting will continue until enough people push back on the left’s chosen narrative.

Just another reason to never trust the Left and their media allies. Just keep reminding people that the people is better described as, “Don’t groom K-3rd graders with sexual perversions.”

Making up lies just like they did about parents wanting books removed from middle school libraries. Media portrayed that as the whole county banned books from all schools and public libraries. There is no journalistic integrity among the entire lot of them.
They are not going to moderate their rhetoric one bit in the run up to the mid terms, polls be damned. It’s fascinatng watching this clown car choose to hasten their own demise. Hereabouts lots of folks with little interest in politics are realizing the damage being done by these nutjobs and can’t wait to get rid of them. Good riddance.
“Let the children be…..CHILDREN!”
That’s heresy to the left in general. Children who don’t get aborted are to be sex toys for grownups. Every single person who pushes back against this law should be treated as a predator in waiting.
It isn’t the “Don’t say gay bill” It’s the “Don’t groom children for sex bill”.
