Today was the big day for “The View.” Kamala Harris was going to be on the show! Oh, the unmitigated excitement.

Well, it was exciting for a few moments, but not because of Kamala Harris. You see, “The View” suddenly learned that an uninvited guest had showed up – COVID-19. Two of the hosts for the day, Sunny Hostin and Ana Navarro, were pulled off the set in the middle of production because they had tested positive for COVID. Uh-oh.

Now, since both women are vaccinated for COVID, they are unlikely to fall seriously ill – and a producer later revealed that a second test came up negative. However, the two of them had to miss all the fun. So, it’s okay to sit back and be thoroughly amused at the situation, seeing as Joy Behar actually wondered if unvaccinated people who contract COVID should be denied medical care just a couple of weeks ago, and now her own show could be considered a “super-spreader.” (Speaking of which, is the show going to be reaching out to past audience members who could have been exposed?)

But this was particularly bad timing because Joy Behar was about to introduce Kamala Harris and bring her ON SET. Instead, a chaotic scramble began to keep Kamala far, far away from everyone – which meant a lot of stalling for time as ABC had to set up a remote camera link in a different studio for Kamala. Which meant that instead of being in person, on the set, yukking it up with four hosts, Kamala Harris ended up going on a “View” Zoom call with just two hosts. Wow. Kind of anti-climactic. And while that was being set up, Joy Behar and Sara Haines were forced to stall for time and take questions from the audience before they could get Kamala on.

In classic Kamala Harris fashion, serious subjects bring out her trademark nervous cackle. Here we go again. Listen carefully as Harris again repeats the lie that the Border Patrol was whipping Haitian illegal migrants, and then desperately tries to squelch a giggle while she talks about how “bad” the images were.

“Human beings should not be treated that way,” Harris told the “View” hosts. “It also invoked images of some of the worst moments of our history, where that kind of behavior has been used against the Indigenous people of our country, it has been used against African Americans during times of slavery.”

Harris did not comment on the whip controversy but called it “horrible and deeply troubling. Adding that she “fully” supports the investigation currently being conducted into the incident.”

The entire administration, from Joe Biden to Kamala Harris to Jen Psaki to Alejandro Mayorkas, has just bought into this lie wholesale, because then they can blame the Border Patrol and talk about their very favorite thing, racism, and DON’T HAVE TO TALK ABOUT WHY SO MANY HAITIANS ARE SHOWING UP. It’s a classic misdirection, and the vast majority of the media have bought into it. Joe Biden wants consequences, CONSEQUENCES, OR ELSE. Or else what? Maybe he drones the border? Oh, are we not supposed to talk about the ten dead, including seven children, in Afghanistan, from the last time that Biden promised “consequences”?

The last time Biden used this kind of phrasing he droned 7 innocent kids.

This entire Border Patrol scapegoating is pathetic. Much like this interview was pathetic. Kamala Harris was supposed to be on set for a long form interview chat, and instead got less than ten minutes on air, in a jury-rigged conference call. If you want to be bored to tears, or need to elevate your heart rate, the entire thing can be watched here.

One last thing – isn’t Kamala Harris supposed to be in charge of fixing the border? Why isn’t she taking point on this and actively working on investigating anything for herself? Oh, that’s right – in this administration, you always blame someone else when things go wrong. I think Kamala Harris already knew how to do that without any extra tutelage from Joe Biden. I bet it will be fun when she takes over for him someday, because it will be the first time that Biden will get blamed for anything.
