File this under the Captain Renault “shocked” category – Hunter Biden took money from the Chinese government.

What makes THIS revelation different? Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) brought the receipts to the Senate floor for public consumption. AND they say that this is only part one of the material that they have in hand.

“Today, Senator Johnson and I will begin our series of speeches on our investigation into the Biden Family’s financial deals,” Grassley said. “We’ll refute and dismantle the talking point that the liberal media and our Democratic colleagues pushed on the American people: That our investigation advanced and spread Russian disinformation.”

Using posters displaying documents, Grassley connected the dots right to Hunter’s bank account.”

“There’s no middle man in this transaction. This is one hundred thousand dollars from what is effectively an arm of the communist Chinese government direct to Hunter Biden….Beyond this document, in future speeches Senator Johnson and I will show you more transfers between and among companies such as CEFC, Northern International Capital, Hudson West Three, Hunter Biden’s Owasco and James Biden’s Lion Hall Group,” he continued. “In our next speeches, we’ll show you more records that haven’t been seen before – records that undeniably show strong links between the Biden Family and communist China. Today is just a small taste.”

And Senators Grassley and Johnson have the bank records.

For anyone who has been paying attention, Hunter Biden and his financial situation have reeked to high heaven. How the flaky 52 year old son of Joe Biden, a known former drug addict well into his adulthood, who got special treatment because his last name was Biden when it came to law enforcement, has managed to pull off a career as a “successful” businessman (and now “artist“) has always stunk of cronyism, nepotism, and payoffs because of his name and connections. But so desperate were the media and the Democrats (but I repeat myself) to defeat the Bad Orange Man, they were willing to do, say, and spin anything in order to cover up the fact that Hunter Biden is such an idiot that he left a laptop full of incriminating emails at a repair shop and never bothered to pick it up.

ALL OF THIS WAS KNOWN, and the media didn’t care. Democrats, who would have had blood shooting out of their eyeballs if Hunter Biden was named Hunter Trump, ignored all of this and claimed it was “Russian disinformation.”

Now Grassley and Johnson have bank records, despite alleged efforts by Attorney General Merrick Garland to keep them from being able to dig too deeply. And Grassley and Johnson say they have more evidence to come. (Given the amount of grift Hunter Biden engaged in over the decades of Daddy’s public service, I don’t doubt it.)

But now I have to ask the question – SO WHAT?

Those of us who have been covering Hunter’s multiple golden parachutes (despite how many times he shot holes in them) have been screaming about this stuff for YEARS now. We already KNOW that the Democrats, even the supposedly “moderate” ones like Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema, aren’t going to help the GOP investigate, or bring Hunter Biden or anyone else in the Biden family to account – especially not “The Big Guy.” After all, “The Big Guy” is the only one in that crowd who can legitimately stage a senility defense, seeing as he can’t even follow his own cue cards anymore. But what is it going to take for the Republicans, if they have irrefutable evidence IN HAND, to actually ACT on it?

If Donald Trump taught the GOP anything, it was how to fight. It’s been dammed frustrating for years and years and years – pretty much ever since Bill Clinton committed perjury and walked away from impeachment – to see Republicans still trying to play by Marquess of Queensbury rules while Democrats put on brass knuckles and go for the low blows, and then bitch and moan if the Republicans complain that the fight wasn’t fair. If Grassley and Johnson have Hunter Biden with his hand in the cookie jar, then I want actual action. Ideally, I would want Democrats to be shamed into acting (though they’ve repeatedly proven that they have no shame). Forgoing that, I want Grassley and Johnson to announce a list of actions against Hunter Biden, and whomever else they have evidence on, once the Republicans are back in Congress. Specific actions. And if they don’t follow through, then they bear the political consequences.

In other words, the GOP needs to put up or shut up. No more of this wishy-washy “you naughty boy, Hunter” scolding. Hunter Biden is a grown man with adult children of his own. He has skated by on Daddy’s influence his whole life. If the evidence is in hand, and if ANYONE ELSE whose name isn’t “Biden” would be hung out to dry with it, then the GOP needs to get a spine and start holding Hunter accountable at the first opportunity.

January 2023 sounds good to me.
