The law is applied equally no matter the issue! That’s the assertion by Attorney General Merrick Garland who was grilled mercilessly during today’s Senate Judiciary hearing. One of the first laughable assertions involved the Hunter Biden laptop case.
“I promised to leave the matter of Hunter Biden in the hands of the U.S. attorney for the District of Delaware, who was appointed in the previous administration,” Garland said during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, under questioning by Sen. Charles E. Grassley (R-Iowa). “And I have carried through on that pledge.”
So, plausible deniability is in play. It’s really hard to believe that Garland nor anyone in the DOJ is keeping their distance right now.
Garland’s assertion came in regards to how the DOJ is prosecuting pro-life people, yet cannot seem to figure out how to find and prosecute the pro-abortion criminals who’ve vandalized, set fire to, and bombed pregnancy centers around the United States.
More than 80 pregnancy care centers have been attacked since the leak of the Dobbs draft last May. It took the FBI six months to announce a reward in any of the cases, and most centers say they’ve heard nothing. What is the DOJ doing on this issue?

What was Garland’s response when asked about it and why there hasn’t been any arrests let alone prosecutions over the destruction of pro-life centers?
Garland noted that the FACE Act applies to protect both abortion centers and pregnancy resource centers.
“I will say you are quite right. There are many more prosecutions with respect to the blocking of the abortion centers, but that is generally because those actions are taken with photography at the time, during the daylight, and seeing the person who did it is quite easy,” the attorney general said.
EXCUSE ME?? Since the criminals targeted pro-life centers in the dark, the DOJ investigators can’t do anything?? But those pro-life protestors who are protected by law and protest during the day CAN be targeted by the DOJ?? That’s a bullshit excuse if I’ve ever heard one. The pro-life centers haven’t received any assistance from the FBI or the DOJ as a whole. Both entities have been virtually radio silent on the matter. And Garland offers that up as an excuse and then claims the law is applied equally?
.@BasedMikeLee: "DOJ has announced charges against 34 individuals for blocking access to…abortion clinics…there have been over 81 reported attacks on pregnancy centers…and only 2 individuals have been charged!"

Horse shit.
FULL EXCHANGE between Senator @HawleyMO and Attorney General Merrick Garland:

In fact, that’s not the only instance where Garland’s DOJ has NOT applied the law equally. Let’s start with the conservative Supreme Court justices who’ve faced a continual barrage of protestors since the Dobbs opinion was leaked last May.
Cruz accused Garland of “sitting on [his] hands” while protesters gathered at the homes of Supreme Court justices who voted in favor of overturning Roe, which ended nationwide access to abortion and returned the question of the procedure’s legality back to the states. The Texas senator specifically pointed to the pro-abortion rights group Ruth Sent Us, which leaked the home addresses of the justices online.
As we noted here, that pro-abortion group Ruth Sent Us gleefully made sure everyone knew the addresses of the Justices. Has anyone been arrested for breaking federal law? Has the DOJ prosecuted anyone?
So @tedcruz just eviscerated AG Merrick Garland for refusing to enforce the law and protect Supreme Court justices. Watch: pic.twitter.com/xCoCit4zbl

It was indeed a simple Yes or No answer. And since Garland refused to answer, our only conclusion is that there haven’t been and there will be ZERO prosecutions of anyone daring to protest outside the homes of SCOTUS Justices. Lots of equality there!
One thing that Senator Ted Cruz should’ve asked is “how many arrests of protestors have the U.S. Marshals made since all of this started? And no, the idiot who wanted to kill Justice Kavanaugh but instead turned himself in doesn’t count.
How about when Garland denied then admitted he took part in crafting the memo that led to parents who spoke out at school board meetings being labeled as domestic terrorists?
Here’s another one. It seems that Garland is going to stay far far away from the issue of moving men into women’s prisons just because they claim they are transgender. Evidently some 1200 are wanting to make this move. Thus, the question is, who will protect the women? Garland’s only concrete answer is that they’ll all be treated with dignity and respect. Does that include the women who will (and it will happen) be attacked by those transgender biological males? I doubt it.
No, the law is not applied equally in any of those instances. We know it and Garland sure as hell knows it.
We are indeed better off that Garland is NOT a member of the United States Supreme Court. However, he’s not doing this Republic any favors as Attorney General, just the opposite.
Garland wouldn’t know how to apply the law equally even if he was provided a how-to guide and a tutor!

I am kind of surprised. How did the Republicans in the Senate manage to get Garland to testify? That was bound to be an ugly exposure of the the Biden DOJ. I would have expected the Democrats to fight that and succeed with their majority, slim though it is.
Then the centers should invest some time and money in surveillance cameras, security guards, etc,, the way the clinics have after all the bombings, fires, assaults, murders, etc, that they’ve endured. It’s impossible to arrest anyone without evidence.
Thank God that man without honor did not reach the U.S. Supreme Court. What a bald-faced liar.
