PBS will be airing a documentary about “American Master: Dr. Tony Fauci” tomorrow. Fauci doesn’t come out looking like the hero he thinks he is

The documentary discusses his successes and failures regarding AIDS, and glosses over the fact that, even then, Fauci was insistent that HE was the science and anyone demanding anything else or claiming otherwise should be vilified. Many are still justifiably furious at his slow-walking AIDS vaccines that didn’t suit his purpose and his throwing young Ryan White under the bus. 

Then of course, PBS had to do an in-depth look at how he handled all the rest of the virus crises that we’ve encountered including two versions of SARS and more. 

“American Masters: Dr. Tony Fauci,” offers a portrait of an unlikely lightning rod: A government infectious disease scientist who advised seven presidents. Fauci hopes it can inspire more public servants like him.

“I just felt that there needed to be a story of people understanding what public health officials go through, but also I hope as a source of inspiration for young people who are either in science or interested in going into science,” he told The Associated Press. The documentary airs Tuesday and later streams.

There are many, and I mean MANY public health officials who should never have been in charge of this Covid response. But GOSH! He’s been so damned “masterful” at helping the country navigate through all the medical events, that OF COURSE he’s the science expert on everything! Don’t believe me? Just ask him, he’ll tell you so!

“I put aside the confrontational behavior and the attacks on me and listen to what they were saying,” Fauci explained in the interview. “And what they were saying was making perfect sense. It made me feel if I were in their shoes, I’d be doing exactly what they were doing.”

That’s not the case when protestors in recent years began attacking Fauci for mask mandates, school closures, quarantines and bizarre claims about the COVID-19 vaccines.

“There’s one sign that says, ‘Fauci, You’re Killing Us’ and the other sign that says ‘Fauci, You’re Killing Us’ but the rationale for those from the 1980s to 2023 is enormously different,” Fauci said. “They couldn’t be more different.”

Does he even stop to THINK that it was his edicts, that were all over the map, and HIS hypocrisy, plus his previous track record that were a significant part of the problem? Of course not. He’s the grand Poobah of dealing with infections and infectious diseases. Anyone questioning him is a conspiracy theorist..and a Trumper. 

One woman told Dr. Fauci she was waiting until her children could get vaccinated. Ms. Bowser said she should go first, and the woman replied that she feared getting the vaccine would create a risk of transmitting the disease to her children.

“No, no, not at all,” Dr. Fauci said.

Another woman then chimed in: “I heard that it doesn’t cure it, and it doesn’t stop you from getting it.”

Dr. Fauci disputed that: “On the very, very, very rare chance you do get it, even if you’re vaccinated, you don’t even feel sick. It’s like you don’t even know you got infected. It’s very, very good at protecting you.”

Even back in 2021, that lady was totally correct. The vaccines as we now know, DON’T cure Covid (even as we were assured six ways to Sunday that it would), and you WILL/CAN get infected even after getting shot twice and boosted however many times. Isn’t that correct Dick Durbin? 

This morning, I tested positive for COVID-19. Thankfully, I am fully vaccinated and boosted and only experiencing minor symptoms. I will quarantine consistent with CDC guidelines and follow advice from my doctor while I continue to work remotely.

In May 2021, Fauci was literally running around Washington D.C. in one of the poorest parts of the city, with D.C. Mayor Bowser, trying to persuade people to get vaccinated, AND telling them that if they did get Covid after that, they’d only get it a teeny tiny little bit. How…reassuring. 

Notice something? No one in the car was wearing a mask until they were about to get OUT of the car. Then, masks were on and off depending upon the situation. Is it any wonder that residents of that neighborhood, who vote Democrat, were telling Fauci NOPE?? 

The responses are a thing of beauty. I’ll admit, the lady who stated she didn’t have clothes on had me rolling on the floor with laughter! That said, it was the schooling that Fauci received that made me stand up and cheer, which starts at about 4 minutes in.

That guy’s skepticism was totally warranted, especially since Fauci was insistent that it’s super safe and again you’d only get just a smidge of Covid. Oh, but Covid would take federal holidays off and as long as we were rioting on behalf of George Floyd, all is fine. 

But it’s the OTHER part that Fauci and Bowser discussed that turned my cheers into spitting anger. We see Fauci giving away the game.

To hell with whether the Covid vaccines are safe or not. Everyone was supposed to get the shots and multiple boosters because POWER and CONTROL. Fauci’s ego is in full view here. And yet PBS is trying to tout him as a hero and anyone who dared dissent against his chosen narrative as the deplorables and conspiracy theorist losers.

It’s Fauci. He’s a power mad troll who has, with the assistance of far too many, damaged this country irreparably. He’s tainted the public health profession and his overwhelming ego will never let him admit he’s wrong.
