It’s always interesting to watch a Democrat Media narrative fall apart at the seams. CNN’s 2019 started out badly and as of yesterday afternoon, it’s getting even worse. CNN, one of the key media outlets that has been 500% all in on the Trump! Russia! Collusion! Eleventy! bandwagon just got some bad news. You see, those oh-so-mysterious blocked calls that Don Jr made from the Trump Tower? He didn’t call his dad y’all! Whoops. There goes the narrative!
Senate investigators have obtained new information showing Donald Trump Jr.’s mysterious phone calls ahead of the 2016 Trump Tower meeting were NOT with his father, three sources with knowledge of the matter told CNN.
Records provided to the Senate Intelligence Committee show the calls were between Trump Jr. and two of his business associates, the sources said, and appear to contradict Democrats’ long-held suspicious that the blocked number was from then-candidate Donald Trump.
Boy howdy. Can you imagine the gnashing of teeth across the CNN newsrooms at this? I’m completely amazed that CNN actually aired this story.
Keep in mind this is the June 2016 Trump Tower meeting that was set up by British promoter Rob Goldstone and Russian pop star Emin Agalarov for Trump to meet Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya. Nothing ever came of the meeting, but Democrats and media have been screaming Russia! Collusion! ever since.
Those who will be hardest hit by this news besides everyone at CNN?
Veselnitskaya and Akhmetshin also happened to be working during that same period with Fusion GPS, the opposition research firm that commissioned the Steele dossier. They have claimed the Trump Tower meeting had nothing to do with their work with Fusion GPS.
That’s actually the 2nd hit that Fusion GPS has taken in the last couple of days as we now know that Bruce Ohr’s wife Nellie was absolutely working on their behalf and targeted all the Trump children for Fusion GPS and met with Christopher Steele of dossier fame as he passed info to her husband.
Yeah, Fusion GPS definitely has some explaining to do.
In last year’s Democratic report Feinstein specifically pointed out the blocked numbers.
In her report, Feinstein wrote that Trump Jr. had placed the three calls to the blocked numbers. But Shiff’s report in fact states that the first June 6 call was incoming to Trump Jr. A source familiar with the records provided to Congress said they did to indicate if the blocked calls were incoming or outgoing.
Gosh, this new is really going to chap her hide. Wish I could’ve been a fly on the wall when she found all this out.

Yes, just a few months ago Schiff was claiming that Trump and family have been changing their stories in order to hide the truth from everyone that the Tower meeting really was Russia collusion.
Well by golly, his narrative and wishful thinking just did an epic face plant in the ditch. No wonder he wouldn’t return CNN’s calls about commenting on this latest news. He was probably throwing a massive temper tantrum in his office.

Of course, there are others in complete disbelief of this latest news and will likely go all in to fix the narrative.

‘If accurate..’ *rolls eyes. Needless to say, this news puts a YUUUUGE spike in the Trump! Russia! Collusion! narrative. However, even within this CNN story, they are still trying to spin that there was smoke and fire in there somewhere!

Good question. Today should be quite LIT with the spin from the Democrat media machine. The NY Times is already ON IT with the ‘new evidence appears to have refuted claim’ gambit. I hope everyone has stocked up on popcorn. It’s going to be quite the show.

This just needs to stop already. The above was sarcasm, but unfortunately it’s also true. Too many people’s lives have been destroyed over absolutely nothing.
Wfjag says: So, the week’s We-Really-Gotcha-This-Time Trump Meme fell apart early. It didn’t even make it to the Sunday Talk Shows. Adam “Full Of” Schiff needs to do better or Pelosi will have to replace him as Intel Committee Chairman with someone more credible, like Hank “Tip Over Guam” Johnson.
