The Biden administration has screwed up the southern border in pretty much every single way imaginable, and the situation is so bad that even the media hasn’t been able to explain it away.

So, enter a new strategy, says Politico. “Nuance.”

Under growing political pressure over an increase in migrant children and crowding at the southern border, the Biden administration is betting big on nuance.”

They don’t just want to push back on their critics, they want to change the very way Americans view migration.”

Um, call me crazy, but the same Democrats who claim people in Georgia are so simple-minded that they can’t possible produce an ID to vote, are now saying that we have to have a more COMPLEX explanation for what is happening on the border, and not just “the simple one Republicans have hammered home on cable news.” Oh really?

In calls with House lawmakers this week, Biden administration officials repeatedly stressed that they inherited a disaster from the Trump administration, and said that the solutions would not be painless or quick. In a separate call with Democratic communications aides on the Hill, White House officials reiterated that the “real crisis is in Central America,” according to several people on the call. Biden and his team are emphasizing the “root causes” of migration surges, and their renewed diplomatic efforts with Central American countries, which lapsed under the Trump administration.”

The White House has held calls with outside groups and staff for high-profile Democrats off the Hill to coordinate messaging, as well, with the goal being to make sure that all stakeholders are rowing in the same direction.”

Translation: BAD ORANGE MAN. Got that, media? Because that’s what is meant by “outside groups” to “coordinate messaging.” The talking points have gone out, far and wide. Now they just have to convince the American people to listen to those talking points, and ignore their own lying eyes.

The revised approach from the administration is a tacit acknowledgment that their initial posture — in which they downplayed the problem and steadfastly refused to call it a crisis —wasn’t working, at least politically. But when it comes to actually fixing the conditions forcing migrants to flee their home countries, the White House has its work cut out for it.”

Yes, because putting Kamala Harris in charge totally fixed… nothing. She was appointed by Biden to deal with the border crisis just a little over two weeks ago. Her spokeswoman then backtracked everything Biden said in his announcement.

“The vice president is not doing the border,” Harris’s senior adviser and chief spokeswoman Symone Sanders told reporters on Friday, adding that the vice president is strictly dealing with the root causes of migration.”

Sanders said the task would entail outreach to leaders in Mexico and the so-called “Northern Triangle” countries of El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras, calling it a “challenging situation.”

“It’s diplomatic work that needs to be done, and Vice President Harris is looking forward to doing it,” she said.”

Okay, here’s your thought exercise for the day. Imagine that when Donald Trump had appointed Mike Pence to lead the COVID response, Pence’s people said “yeah, he’s not really working WITH the task force, he will just be reaching out to them in this challenging situation and making sure that they’re doing their jobs.” I’m sure that the media response to that would have been exactly the same media response that Harris is getting right now, she typed sarcastically.

The truth of the matter is that the Biden team realized that they really did create the problem by letting Joe flap his gums during the election. Now, this IS the end result that they want, but not the optics that they want. They can’t keep talking up COVID as a pandemic that requires lockdown at all costs, and still let illegal and untested immigrants walk into the country. Every single thing that they screamed to high heaven about under Trump has come back to bite them squarely in the ass.

And the American people are seeing scenes like this play out on the news, where two little girls are simply dropped over the fence in the middle of the night in New Mexico.

These two little girls are three and five years old. But guess what? Their mother has been found! And where is she? ALREADY IN THE UNITED STATES.

“If not for the vigilance of our Agents using mobile technology, these two tender-aged siblings would have been exposed to the harsh elements of desert environment for hours,” said El Paso Sector Chief Patrol Agent Gloria Chavez.”

“We are currently working with our law enforcement partners in Mexico and attempting to identify these ruthless human smugglers so as to hold them accountable to the fullest extent of the law,” she said.”

They were taken to the hospital for a medical evaluation and released. The young girls are sisters from Ecuador according to the Border Patrol. Chavez told local television station KVIA, their mother has been located in the United States and the goal is to reunite the sisters with her. The small bag tossed over the border fence with the children contained their passports and a cellphone, according to Chavez.”

Wow, this doesn’t feel like a set-up at all, does it? No wonder the Biden administration is desperate to add “nuance” here. How are the American people going to change their minds on “migration” when kids are being dropped over fences in the desert, along with their passports, and magically, their mother is located already within the country?

We are being taken for a ride here, and without any political will to rein it in, the border crisis is only going to escalate. “Nuance” isn’t going to fix that.
