Biden Mad That Aides Keep Cleaning Up After Him

After all, he’s Joe Biden, president of the United States! He’s not some puppy that made a mess on the White House carpet!

Speaking of which, anyone seen hair or tail of Commander lately? Not that I expect an elderly man to be walking or training a puppy, but Biden has had the dog for five months now, and Willow the cat for four months. Even Jill Biden’s Twitter feed has only shown the pets once each since announcing their adoptions. But back to who is making the REAL messes in the White House at the moment – Grandpa Joe.

And he is upset that those White House aides are stocking up on Pepto Bismol and Jack Daniels, then issuing statements “clarifying” what the Big Guy REALLY meant when he said Putin could not remain in power. Or that the United States would intervene with the military on behalf of Taiwan. As I pointed out at the time, we can’t believe anything that Biden says because his staff undermines him, and then makes him walk it back verbally.

After nearly two years of this, it seems Biden has noticed. And he doesn’t like it.

Beyond policy, Biden is unhappy about a pattern that has developed inside the West Wing. He makes a clear and succinct statement — only to have aides rush to explain that he actually meant something else. The so-called clean-up campaign, he has told advisers, undermines him and smothers the authenticity that fueled his rise. Worse, it feeds a Republican talking point that he’s not fully in command.”

The issue came to a head when Biden ad-libbed during a speech in Poland that Russian President Vladimir Putin “cannot remain in power.” Within minutes, Biden’s aides tried to walk back his comments, saying he hadn’t called for Putin’s removal and that U.S. policy was unchanged. Biden was furious that his remarks were being seen as unreliable, arguing that he speaks genuinely and reminding his staff that he’s the one who is president.”

Asked about the staff’s practice of clarifying Biden’s remarks, the official said: “We don’t say anything that the president doesn’t want us to say.”

Well, I for one am shocked, SHOCKED, that the Big Guy who tells the media “I’m not supposed to be answering questions” looks weak and inauthentic.

Biden is apparently also mad that he is getting all the blame and none of the credit. Wait, didn’t he WANT to be the president? That’s what being the president means – you get the blame when things are bad and credit when things are good. Right now, the polls are not good, and Grandpa Joe is apparently confused as to why the peasantry is upset.

Biden has vented to aides about not getting credit from Americans or the news media for actions he believes have helped the country, particularly on the economy. Unemployment rates have dropped to below 4 percent — pre-pandemic levels — but polling indicates most Americans believe the economy is in bad shape. Biden grouses that Republicans aren’t getting their share of the blame for legislative gridlock in Congress, while he’s repeatedly faulted for not getting his agenda passed.”

The president has also told aides he doesn’t think enough Democrats go on television to defend him. A particular sore spot is his slumping poll numbers; he’s mystified that his approval rating has dropped to a level approaching that of his predecessor, Donald Trump, ranked by historians as one of the worst presidents in history.”

“He’s now lower than Trump, and he’s really twisted about it,” another person close to the White House said.”

Here’s where I will take pity on Joe Biden and offer him advice, even though I know he will never take it.

Hey Joe – you want to look like you’re in control of your own White House and your own message? START FIRING PEOPLE.

It’s as simple as that. And this all stems back to the moment that Biden found himself upside down in the polls – Afghanistan. Not only has Biden refused to take any blame for how badly the withdrawl was botched, but he refused to fire anyone for what happened. It really was that moment, and the lack of any consequences for what followed, that solidified the opinion of the American people of how Joe Biden was going to govern: take the credit, not the blame. That’s not how this works, and that’s not leadership. You know who said that? Joe Biden. (Or whoever runs his Twitter account.)

After Afghanistan, there were quite a few people that could have and should have been fired or demoted. There was a drone strike on innocent civilians, and no one took the blame for THAT, either! And Biden has the nerve to wonder why his poll numbers are so bad??? If Grandpa Brandon wants to be seen as a leader, then he needs to take responsibility and fire some people along the way.

So there’s the advice that Biden will never listen to. When you’re an old man who can be easily distracted with an ice cream cone while Shadow PresidentWhite House Chief of Staff Ron Klain continues to run the show from behind the curtain, it certainly must be bewildering why no one takes you seriously.
