It’s called setting the narrative. In recent days, Stacey Abrams has been blaming voter suppression and the GOP for the low turnout and her highly likely loss to Brian Kemp in Georgia.
“While the polls are always going to tell the story you want to see, what we know is that the untold story is that this is a tight race, it is neck and neck, and we believe that we are on a path to victory if we can get all our voters turned out and if they can navigate the difficulties put in place by Brian Kemp and Brad Raffensperger,” Abrams said, referencing Georgia’s governor and secretary of state, both of whom were behind a state elections law last year that the Democrat has branded as racist and an effort to suppress minority voters.
As we noted the other day, the voter turnout has definitively surpassed the numbers of the 2016 and 2020 campaigns. So Stacey’s condescending attitude towards Georgia voters would be seriously off-putting in my opinion. However, she’s taken that narrative and running with it. Then again, she’s the ultimate election denier and still believes/claims she won in 2018, so there’s that.
However, it isn’t only voter suppression (which she’s used before as an excuse) that will be the reason for her loss. It will be misinformation.

Oh yes, she really said that. Here’s the full interview.
So, let’s recap this. Stacey believes that black men are too stupid and will fall for any old misinformation that shows up on their news feeds, on their social media, or in the newspapers. And THAT is why they won’t cast their votes for Stacey?
I tell you, we’ve seen some spin in recent months, but that one is a doozy! Especially since she not only says there is voter suppression, but turnout is high because people are afraid voter suppression might be a problem.
Velshi then asked Abrams, “How influential is that to people today? Are there Black voters, voters in general in Georgia who want to come out to vote just so that that stuff is reversed?”
Abrams replied, “It is exactly one of the reasons that people are turning out.”
She continued, claiming that early voting turnout in Georgia is high because people “understand that Brian Kemp and Brad Raffensperger put barriers in place, that they’re going to be denied access to food and water in lines that in years past have stretched up to four, eight hours. They know that there have been more difficulties put in place for absentee ballots.”
Does she even hear herself?? There wasn’t voter suppression then! People DID receive food and water while waiting in line, but Stacey wants us to forget that fact. As for absentee ballots, maybe planning ahead to get one’s ballot is difficult for Georgia voters to figure out? That’s her implication, voters are too stupid to plan ahead to figure out how to get their absentee ballots, fill them out, and return them in a timely manner.
Heck of a message Stacey! Leading me to wonder if that is why a major Georgia Democrat, who is black, has now endorsed Brian Kemp for Governor?
Former Congressman and Atlanta Democrat Kwanza Hall has endorsed the two Republican candidates for Georgia’s top state offices in the 2022 midterm election.
In releases Friday morning, Hall announced his endorsement of Republican nominees Gov. Brian Kemp for re-election and Burt Jones in his race to be the next lieutenant governor.
And for those of you who didn’t care to watch the full interview, Stacey also dropped this little gem into the mix.
This is not an older clip. She just said it. https://t.co/t888ee4cRv

That’s also not a good look given she had a horrible photo op of her maskless in front of a classroom of masked kids, and is still trying to enforce social distancing!
On a quick side note, Stacey also misstepped by wearing Tennessee colors on Georgia game day. Oops.
Stacey is setting the narrative that misinformation and voter suppression will be the reasons for her loss. It’s a nice try, until you look at the numbers of early voters in Georgia.
Yesterday’s early & absentee votes carried us to 2,504,956 pre-Election Day votes cast. We have 57,599 absentees that may still be cast. We could get close to 2.55 million. Previous record 2,114,114. Set to beat it by over 20%. #gapol pic.twitter.com/qO18lyIyt2

But again, Democrats including Stacey Abrams now have their narrative set. And it has nothing to do with their horrible choices on messaging such as abortion, woke politics, baseball, taxes, jobs, and more. Nope, it can’t be. It’s just misinformed voters and voter suppression. That’s it. That’s the ticket …to lose.

First off she ran a poor campaign. Second, us Georgians reject her politics, especially since her ideas are even worse than Biden’s. Third, her whining about voter suppression doesn’t square up with the fact that there is record turnout. She just cannot accept that even Black voters are rejecting her so she does the only thing she can, do cry racism.
What an opinion she has of black men!! I know of someone else (who knew her kind very well) who had an opinion about her:
“There is another class of coloured people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs — partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs.” ….. Booker T Washington
+100 for the Booker T Washington quote!
(I wonder how many blacks nowadays even know who he was, despite an entire month devoted to that one group’s ‘history’?)
So, never-married woman is womansplaining why black men won’t support her?
I think those men can speak for themselves, and should be asked, rather than have her telling us.
That’s her implication, voters are too stupid to plan ahead to figure out how to get their absentee ballots, fill them out, and return them in a timely manner.
Well, honestly, this is the argument for “early voting”. You’re too stupid to either get to a polling place (that’s open for probably 14 hours) or to request an absentee ballot (in a timely fashion).
What you are not seeing, Abrams, is voter disgust for your slippery tongue.
