Are you a small, medium, or corporate-sized business? Do you want to expand your market overseas? Would you like to make sales wherever you can across the world, and make a profit doing so? Then yes, jump into the export game! Its fun! Its exciting! The travel to France, England, Dubai, and Iran are just the ticket!!
Uhhh, wait. Iran??!! Hold on there Sparky! As any good business knows, as any sound business who has done their research has discovered; Iran has been on the Do. Not. Export. list for around 36 years. Which is about the length of time from when Iranians stormed our embassy in Iran and took 52 Americans hostage for 144 days.
So why in the wide world of H E double hockey sticks would Iran become a possible go-to for exports? You guessed it; its that snazzy super duper craptastic Iran Deal that Obama and Kerry want to shove down our throats. Here’s the deal, it seems that we could start exporting to Iran and making bank. However, any company who wants to do business with Iran in some manner had better be careful. It seems there’s a Snapback thing that they should worry about. Sort of.
Two leading U.S. senators are calling on the Obama administration to release secret letters to foreign governments assuring them that they will not be legally penalized for doing business with the Iranian government, according to a copy of a letter sent Wednesday to the State Department and obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.
Sens. Mark Kirk (R., Ill.) and Marco Rubio (R., Fla.) disclosed in the letter to the State Department that U.S. lawmakers have been shown copies of several letters sent by the Obama administration to the Chinese, German, French, and British governments assuring them that companies doing business with Iran will not come under penalty.
In other words, if Iran is found to have violated any parameters of this nuclear deal, European businesses working with Iran might not be penalized. Okayyy, I guess what we have here is a Snapback penalty with caveats. Just like all the other parts of this lovely deal. Wonderful.
Question. What if U.S. based companies decide to do business with Iran? What would happen to that company if Iran violates the deal, and they will. You see, if a U.S. business mishandles their exporting paperwork, or sells/exports to a country that isn’t on the approved list; that company faces massive penalties that can include jail time.
Given the strict export rules and the uncertainty of dealing with an untrustworthy country, why would any U.S. based company stick its toe in that super murky water? Moreover, can any U.S. business honestly say this is a kind of loophole that inspires confidence? I don’t think so.
Especially since Obama himself has said exceptions will be granted? Keep in mind that he ignored Iran’s blatant flouting of all sanctions. Instead he blamed everything on his predecessor, all the while Iran’s General Qassem Suleimani was sneaking into Russa to talk turkey and weapons sales.
Let me be blunt, this Iran Deal should not pass. Furthermore, before the ink was even dry on the U.N.’s kowtowing to Iran, we already knew that Obama was handing Iran everything without argument, and leaving us zero leverage. Meanwhile we discover the rumors are indeed true. The U.N.’s very ineffectual IAEA will let the fox get into, roam around in, and inspect the henhouse without ANY supervision.
Can anyone w/ a shred of self-respect stand up in support of the #IranDeal now?

We cannot and shouldn’t support this Iran Deal. For any U.S. company, my advice is this. Don’t. Do. Business. With. Iran. Given what has been said and what is in the documents; this deal only helps Iran as that country will receive billions once the sanctions are lifted. Any U.S. based business with an ounce of common sense should view this snapback loophole as the trap it is; should put Patriotism above all else and say NO. Unequivocally NO to doing business with Iran. Period.
I have a neat idea. Let’s just hand Iran a bunch of ICBM’s and send people over there to operate them under the strict and exclusive control of the Iranians. And while we’re at it, we should also send all the targeting info too, so that the top 50 cities here can be destroyed that much easier.
If this were still the USA I’d be deeply ashamed to be an American knowing what kind of traitors we have in DC. But since that nation has been replaced by the insane Obaman People’s Republic I’m just disgusted and appalled beyond words. Not that it’s any less painful.
Its a great idea! Especially since w/this deal we’ve already thrown all the barn doors wide open. Might as well rip out the walls too.
Disgusted, appalled, and ashamed. Fair assessment I’d say. Like you, its not one I like. At. All.
I can just picture Obozo watching TV in 1979 and saying the hostage crisis was a great thing as the evil USA finally got its comeuppance (with all his commie mentors nodding with great approval at their pupil). I swear he’s a new form of traitor onto himself. And hopefully the last of his kind.
