Well, another one of those shoes has dropped regarding Graham Platner. This time it involves sexual assault, date rape actually, with a young lady who was briefly mentioned in The New York Times expose from several weeks ago. Politico has the report.

A woman who dated Maine U.S. Senate candidate Graham Platner says he forced her to have sex with him nearly five years ago despite her repeated objections, an allegation Platner denies.

The woman, a 41-year-old Maine resident named Jenny Racicot, detailed the alleged incident to POLITICO in three interviews over the past two weeks. POLITICO also spoke with a man Racicot dated and confided in the years after the alleged incident, and reviewed documents, including emails between Racicot and her therapist and messages between Racicot and an acquaintance whom she warned against getting involved with Platner years before he ran for office.

Racicot said she had an on-and-off relationship with Platner, who is now the Democratic Senate nominee in Maine, for more than two years before he entered her rural Maine home uninvited one night in late 2021, deeply intoxicated, and forced himself on her while she repeatedly told him to stop. She said she cut off contact with him after telling him the encounter was not consensual.

“I remember him grabbing my pelvis and being really forceful of me,” she said. “I remember the specific moment where I thought to myself, like, ‘This is no longer my choice.’”

Let’s stop a moment here and read all of that again. Especially the last two paragraphs. 

He BROKE INTO her house. That’s a criminal act. 

He forced himself on her even as she told him to STOP, repeatedly. That. Is. RAPE. 

There is seriously no other way to describe his actions. 

Quite honestly, I cannot fathom why Jenny Racicot did not report him to the police and go to the hospital and have a rape kit done. Then again, none of us have any idea of what her life was like at the time and what thought processes she went through in dealing with this. 

That said, what is also mind-boggling is that A. The New York Times essentially dissed her in favor of writing a hideous political gotcha narrative about Lyndsey Fifield. 

But now, Platner is in the ‘oh hey! I’m going to pause and reflect over my political future’ mode.

You have to love the comment about how all this reporting is so inaccurate. Yet he doesn’t take the time to define what the inaccuracies are! 

As we’ve written multiple times here on the blog, Graham Platner is toxic. To himself, to everyone around him, and for Maine. His Totenkopf tattoo should’ve been an immediate disqualification last fall. But Democrats stuck by their little Nazi guy. And then there was the fact that he railed against fellow Marines along with having been on record talking about sexual acts in porta-potties.

Add to that, the news of multiple sexual assaults and his years-long presence on Kik (which is also a known pedo hangout), and the Democrats should’ve canned his ass months ago.

I do feel for Jenny. But I’m also astounded that she even thought that, since they aligned politically, Platner should get a pass for what he did to her. I truly hope she is getting therapy. And I’m afraid it isn’t just Lyndsey and Jenny. He’s shown a pattern, and it’s ugly. 

Amazingly, CNN headlines call Platner’s actions what they are. Rape.

Keep in mind, Platner is on record multiple times stating that all accounts, those from Lyndsey and from Jenny as well as others who didn’t want to go on record were false. Having conversations with one’s therapist, the man she dated after Platner, and girlfriends gives lie to Platner’s assertions. 

In Facebook messages to a female acquaintance from 2023, she described how she “ended up in a bad situation with” Platner, who was “consensually careless” and “doesn’t listen to you when drunk.”

Publicly, Platner repeatedly insisted that he had no more skeletons in his closet and vehemently denied accusations that he engaged in egregious physical behavior towards women. Racicot said his denial troubled her.

“I know that he is capable of putting his hands on women,” she told Politico. “So I don’t believe that to be the truth.”

Her account is clear. Platner engaged in date rape. It doesn’t matter that he was blackout drunk. She. Said. NO. That is date rape. 

Well, while Graham Platner is now “reflecting” on what he asserts are inaccurate claims of date rape, the Democrats are running from the sinking ship. 

So far, Rho Khanna, Ruben Gallegos, the Senate Democrats, and the DNC (who has now pulled all their ads) are ditching the oysterman. Meanwhile, Donna Brazile is claiming he “needs time to heal.” She’s a piece of work!

Platner needs to drop out ASAP – these are awful, credible allegations.

Jon, you thought his Nazi Totenkopf tattoo was no big deal. 

I do have to wonder what Tim Walz, Bernie Sanders, and Lizzie Warren are going to do. They’ve been on the Platner boat for months now. As of this writing, it’s been crickets from those three camps. 

Graham Platner is essentially done. He has until July 13th to drop out. The only question is, who will be his replacement on the ticket?
