The FDA snuck a major announcement under the radar. Yes, doctors CAN prescribe Ivermectin to Covid patients.
Remember back in 2020 and 2021 when the media, Fauci, and the CDC were so insistent that Ivermectin didn’t work? That it shouldn’t be prescribed, and in fact livestock feed stores had to put it away behind lock and key? I do. Others do as well. Heck, the FDA even tweeted about it.

There have been three years of warnings about how Ivermectin just doesn’t work against the Covid parasite. Except that it did and does. Yet Ivermectin couldn’t be prescribed because it was a cheap drug and Pfizer/Moderna et al weren’t gonna make any money off of it. Yes folks, some of this was ALWAYS about the money train.
All the “experts” insist that Ivermectin along with hydroxychloroquine wasn’t and isn’t a magical cure for Covid.
I don’t know that people regard Ivermectin as the CURE for Covid, but I know people considered it a key component to successfully fighting and recovering from the virus.
This was just a day or so ago.
It covers the range, but many of the doctors that we looked into that actually were disciplined were prescribing ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine.
Those are two treatments that are shown to be not effective for treating COVID-19. But they, of course, gained a lot of popularity during the pandemic because they were pushed by former President Trump and his allies. So that was the prescription side.
Yes, a lot of doctors were punished, fired, or forced out of their jobs for daring to go against the preferred Covid narrative. The Washington Post published this story, from which the PBS interview above came from.
A Wisconsin doctor in 2021 prescribed ivermectin, typically used to treat parasitic infections, to two covid-19 patients who later died of the disease. He was fined less than $4,000 — and was free to continue practicing.
A Massachusetts doctor has continued practicing without restriction despite being under investigation for more than a year over allegations of “disseminating misinformation” and prescribing unapproved covid treatments, including ivermectin, to a patient who died in 2022, according to medical board records.
And in Idaho, a pathologist who falsely promoted the effectiveness of ivermectin over coronavirus vaccines on social media has not been disciplined despite complaints from fellow physicians that his “dangerous and troubling” statements and actions “significantly threatened the public health.”
On multiple occasions the FDA issued explainers talking about how they only “recommend” that Ivermectin not be used, and many fact checkers ran with that.
The FDA explained that using drugs that haven’t been approved to treat a particular disease “can cause serious harm.” The agency described some of the potential consequences of unauthorized ivermectin use, specifically warning about the highly concentrated versions of the drug made for horses.

The FDA’s website still explains why people shouldn’t use ivermectin as a COVID-19 treatment, and the National Institutes of Health recommends against its use for the disease, except for clinical trials.
As we’ve explained, randomized clinical trials have repeatedly found that ivermectin does not benefit COVID-19 patients.
Never mind the wordy tap dances, the fact remains that anyone prescribing Ivermectin was treated as pariahs.
However, yesterday, during 5th Circuit court proceedings involving the case of the federal government working hand-in-glove with the social media companies to suppress information they deemed disinformation or misinformation regarding the Covid narrative, this little gem dropped into everyone’s laps.
“FDA explicitly recognizes that doctors do have the authority to prescribe ivermectin to treat COVID,” Ashley Cheung Honold, a Department of Justice lawyer representing the FDA, said during oral arguments on Aug. 8 in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit.

After three years of the “experts” and the media demonizing those who fought to utilize Ivermectin as part of the treatment of Covid, suddenly it’s A-Ok to prescribe it! And no, they didn’t tell everyone to NOT prescribe it. At least that’s what the attorneys tried to claim yesterday.
Ms. Honold said that the FDA didn’t purport to require anyone to do anything or to prohibit anyone from doing anything.
“What about when it said, ‘No, stop it’?” Circuit Judge Jennifer Walker Elrod, on the panel that is hearing the appeal, asked.
“Why isn’t that a command? If you were in English class, they would say that was a command.”
Ms. Honold described the statements as “merely quips.”
“Can you answer the question, please? Is that a command, ‘Stop it’?” Judge Elrod asked.
“In some contexts, those words could be construed as a command,” Ms. Honold said.
“But in this context, where FDA was simply using these words in the context of a quippy tweet meant to share its informational article, those statements do not rise to the level of a command.”
So, it was a “quippy” suggestion, not a command. Got it.
Doctors who had the courage and compassion to treat COVID patients believe hundreds of thousands of Americans died needlessly because the @US_FDA sabotaged the use of cheap, safe, and effective generic drugs.

Now the FDA quietly approves ivermectin's use? What's going on? pic.twitter.com/hDt0R6VRUU
I believe they realized their narrative wasn’t working, and this is a mad scramble by the FDA to cover their rears and hope no one will be held accountable for their actions.
2) FDA Attorney Ashley Cheung Honold Says the FDA Has ‘Sovereign Immunity’ and Cannot Be Held Responsible for Misleading Statements

Our Constitution doesn’t grant anyone at the FDA sovereign immunity. But I’m sure they are hoping no consequences will be imposed. And, given the status of The Swamp these days, it’s likely they’ll skate.
Meanwhile, all the doctors who fought to treat their patients with a variety of therapies which included Ivermectin are now vindicated.

[…] CHANGE: FDA Sneakily Announces Doctors Are Allowed To Prescribe Ivermectin. […]
This country has been rotting at least since FDR allowed communists to infest his administrations (and give atomic bomb secrets to the Russians).. the disease is just finally bubbling to the surface… this cancer needs to be cut out by the roots, if we are to save the Republic, and it will NOT be pretty
Doctors are STILL frightened to admit maybe – sometimes – a few people – MIGHT – have been helped by EARLY treatment with the protocol that included Ivermectin.
It is a good filter to find a real doctor though.
Any doctor who has a conniption fit reaction to the question of ‘would you give me a prescription for the protocol that includes Ivermectin if I failed the covid home test’ isn’t really a doctor.
Unfortunately not many real doctors left in US it seems.
note: my doctor that kept a few family members out of a hospital when we all had covid has retired, so looking for a real doctor to replace him (still)
I probably didn’t need it, but my wife and son took the vaccine, so got hit much harder than I did.
So – don’t really care if it works without fail for everyone. It costs under $100 to try it. And it worked for many if taken early enough.
Let’s not forget, it wasn’t just a simple profit motive that precipitated the war on ivermectin and HCQ. It was the fact that the EUA for the “vaccines” could not be approved under law if there were safe, effective alternative drugs available that had good results against the same disease. So their greed went beyond false claims of effectiveness for their experimental drugs — they made certain millions of people went untreated for a treatable disease using much safer, time-tested drugs.
