There are those of you out there somewhere who had high expectations of the probe by John Durham into the origins of the FBI investigation into Russian collusion/interference in the 2016 Presidential Election on behalf of Donald J. Trump. The FBI will be exposed. There will be tapes of Obama, Biden, and Hillary colluding and planning the whole thing. Or, if you hate Trump, there will be a white board out there where Russian Operatives named Boris and Natasha planned dates and times for Facebook, Twitter and Instagram posts. The Durham “Russia” Report is in, you can read it here, and ain’t nobody happy. I am not going to read it because I sleep well without any assistance. But, some people are crying in their Pinot Grigio and that’s worth taking a look at.

The Federalist had the story that the final report had been issued mid-yesterday afternoon, about four years and one month after Durham started this SNIPE HUNT.

If you read through the Twitter thread, most people are not holding their breath waiting for anyone substantial to go to jail. Many comments are akin to “What year is it?” and my favorite “Duh”. If you have an exceptional memory, you know that back in September of 2022 our Deanna wrote “Durham Reveals FBI Lies In Collusion Case”. Eight months later, and bupkis.

We Conservatives are used to this. To use another cartoon couple reference, we are used to Charlie Brown running to kick that football and Lucy pulling it out at the last minute. We are just waiting for the loop the loop sounds before we conk our noggin.

The other side, the Democrats, the enemies of the Republic and, pardon my candor but, a few Never Trumpers cannot give up their fantasies that Trump and Russia colluded to win the 2016 election and, doggone you, John Durham, you have let the team down. For that, let us turn to MSNBC, Nicolle Wallace and Frank Figliuzzi. Nicolle worked sundry Bush’s and John McCain and threw Sarah Palin under several buses and at least one train. Nicolle has described herself as a “self-loathing former Republican”. Fine, some of us loathe her more than she loathes herself. Frank Figliuzzi, according to his MSNBC bio, is:

Real Clear Politics gave us the transcript so that we don’t have to watch or listen to Nicolle Wallace whine out of her reptilian mouth, or Frankie slither his way around:

FRANK FIGLIUZZI: John Durham, a once highly-respected, hard-nosed prosecutor, and by the way someone I worked for eons ago as an intern when I was in law school, has twisted himself into a pretzel in an attempt to deliver what he could not deliver.
If the goal was to wrack up many indictments and prove all of this “Russia, Russia, Russia” stuff, as Trump says, wrong, he’s failed miserably. But if the goal, at least the consolation prize, was to hand over a politically tainted document that can be used in sound bites over and over again on FOX News and other platforms, already congressman Jim Jordan has publicly stated he’s going to call Durham to testify in congress and I’ll note as others have done, John Durham should be Exhibit A in the so-called “Weaponization of Government Subcommittee” because he was weaponized by Bill Barr and turned against the very institutions that he comes out of.

Bill Barr weaponized this paragon of prosecuting. John Durham turned against the very institutions he comes out of? Maybe because, they are corroded, corrupt versions of the institutions he knew. But wait, there’s more:

So I am saying this is, you know, Durham is playing dumb. He’s too smart for this and I have to say there was an agenda here and he’s handed him this political product that you’re going to hear about endlessly as Trump runs his campaign.

Legal Insurrection blames “confirmation bias”. In other words, none of these people can give it up. This is their world and we must submit:

Special Counsel John Durham’s final report showed everyone what we already knew: There was no collusion between Trump and Russia in 2016 or ever.
It was all a lie. The FBI, DOJ, Democrats, and those suffering from TDS didn’t care.

Corruption:
Given the foregoing, and viewing the facts in a light most favorable to the Crossfire Hurricane investigators, it seems highly likely that, at a minimum, confirmation bias played a significant role in the FBI’s acceptance of extraordinarily serious allegations derived from uncorroborated information that had not been subjected to the typical exacting analysis employed by the FBI and other members of the Intelligence Community. In short, it is the Office’s assessment that the FBI discounted or willfully ignored material information that did not support the narrative of a collusive relationship between Trump and Russia. Similarly, the FBI Inspection Division Report says that the investigators “repeatedly ignore[ d] or explain[ ed] away evidence contrary to the theory the Trump campaign … had conspired with Russia …. It appeared that … there was a pattern of assuming nefarious intent.” An objective and honest assessment of these strands of information should have caused the FBI to question not only the predication for Crossfire Hurricane, but also to reflect on whether the FBI was being manipulated for political or other purposes. Unfortunately, it did not.

The FBI’s motives were totally pure and moral. Right? I can’t stop laughing. They really haven’t started digesting the Durham Report, yet. They are going to be hurting and sad. I don’t feel for them, at all. Conservatives? Heck, we got a crumb, that’s more than we are used to.

The VERY LAST people to go to for honest and accurate reporting on the absolutely explosive Durham report are the corrupt partisans in the propaganda press who were key players in the Russia collusion disinformation op (e.g. AP, NYT, WP, CNN, NBC, etc.)
