Rick Perry For President – Eye Rolls All Around

Bless his little pea pickin heart. Rick Perry, former Texas Governor and former Trump Energy Secretary, wants to run for President of the United States AGAIN. Why Mr. Perry thinks that based on his past behavior, we, the Conservative/Republican voters, are desperately craving a Rick Perry Presidency, I cannot say. I am hearing the eyes rolling.

Just the News brought us this earth-shattering story this morning:

Rick Perry, a former Texas governor and Trump Energy secretary, is considering launching a bid for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination but says his chances of running are small.

“It’s early in the process,” Perry told CNN on Sunday. “It certainly is something that I haven’t taken off the table, but the chances of it happening are probably a little bit slim. … There’s a lot of time left, and we’ll see how this all works out.”
When asked whether former President Trump should be the 2024 GOP nominee, Perry replied: “I’m still trying to sort that out for myself.”
Perry is Texas’ longest-serving governor. He assumed the position in 2000 and won three full terms until he opted to not run for reelection in 2014.
He made an unsuccessful bid for the the 2012 and 2016 GOP presidential nomination before serving in the Trump administration as Energy secretary from 2017 until his resignation in 2019.

Does Perry have a book to sell? Have his speaking fees fallen? Worried about consulting for the oil and gas industry? Needing other revenue streams besides Fox News Channel? Rick Perry is somewhere between former South Carolina Governor and former Trump Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley and Asa (Who?) Hutchison with two chances for being President of the United States: SLIM AND NONE.

‘Member seven years ago when Governor Perry was on stage with the “second tier candidates:

Wearing glasses does make you look smart…until you open your mouth. Donald Trump used his celebrity because he had it. Rick Perry is like Jeb! Bush’s less charismatic twin brother (Please clap.). Sundae_Devine had similar thoughts:

Mediaite gave us this:

Acosta asked former Illinois Rep. Joe Walsh (R) and New York Rep. Mondaire Jones (D-NY) what they thought of Perry’s answer.

“You know, there’s a way to answer that question that makes you as relevant as possible, and he didn’t do that quite well,” Jones said. “What he should have said, if he wants to be talked about, I guess, is, yeah, I’m very seriously considering running for president, and I will announce my decision at the appropriate time. But he’s saying that there’s a very slim chance, and I think this is also a recognition of the fact that the field is already very crowded, that no one is going to get traction, with the possible exception of Ron DeSantis. And as the days pass, even that seems increasingly unlikely.”

Yes, that’s not wrong. Look, Ron DeSantis is a good governor. So is my governor, Bill Lee. The difference between DeSantis and Lee: DeSantis is {{SHINY}} and Lee is not. Pay attention. I will vote for the eventual Republican nominee whoever that individual may be. If I could have any team I wanted, it would be Trump and Vivek Ramaswamy. That is something else that is not going to happen. Even if Trump praises Ramaswamy:

On May 5, though, Trump suggested that at least one of them had.
“I am pleased to see that Vivek Ramaswamy is doing so well in the most recent Republican Primary Poll, CBS YouGov,” Trump said in a post on his social-media site. “He is tied with Mike Pence, and seems to be on his way to catching Ron DeSanctimonious” — Trump’s cumbersome nickname for the Florida governor.
“The thing I like about Vivek is that he only has good things to say about ‘President Trump,’” the message continued, “and all that the Trump Administration has so successfully done — This is the reason he is doing so well. In any event, good luck to all of them, they will need it!”

Rick Perry has no new ideas. He has no shiny. He has no chance. Eye rolls all around the country.

Lee is pushing red flag laws. (Buzzer sounds)

Starting to lean towards Vivek myself but it’s still too early.

Another loser from the party of stupid. They’re coming out of the woodworks these days.

Maybe so (Rick Perry having no chance) but Trump will bring down the Republican Party if he gets the nomination.
I sitll want to know what Trump’s path to victory in the general election is – will he win all the states he won in 2020 (doubtful) and what states will he flip that he lost in 2020 (none)?
