The Democrats have been wishing and hoping and scheming for the impeachment of Donald Trump since before he was inaugurated. If Donald Trump walked counter-clockwise around the White House Lawn, the Democrats would say it was a secret plot to collude with (insert random dictator here) and call for the President’s impeachment. I am sick to death of this whale excrement. I could scream. The Democrats don’t give a fat rat’s backside about the Ukraine. It’s just the latest lame opportunity to harass Trump and me.

In case you don’t know what the Ukraine matter is about, don’t worry the Democrats don’t know either. Victory Girls’ Nina has a great post with most of the known unknowns. You can read it here. Nevertheless, the Democrats are meeting today to discuss impeachment. For what, you ask? It doesn’t matter. The Democrats wishing for impeachment are hoping for a thread of something that they can pull on and tease out. The Washington Examiner has a column on this latest impeachment call. Here are the facts laid out by the Examiner:

We don’t know precisely what was said in the July 25 telephone conversation in which Trump reportedly pressed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate Joe Biden’s son. We don’t know what a whistleblower told the intelligence community inspector general about the conversation (although we do know that he or she did not have direct knowledge of the call). We don’t know what other evidence the whistleblower did or did not include in the complaint. And of course, we don’t know who the whistleblower is or the circumstances surrounding his or her decision to come forward.

Or, to paraphrase Representative Ilhan Omar, somebody heard something. In a sane world, this would be NOTHING. But, we live in the era of the Trump Derangement Syndrome Pandemic.

Here is, pardon me, MSNBC last night:

If Trump releases the transcript of his call with Zelensky, he screws every President and every foreign leader the President talks to on a go-forward basis. If he releases the transcript, everyone who reads it will find what he wants in it.

If Trump doesn’t release the transcript, he is covering up his crime and obstructing justice.

Oh and, here is my thought. Every President knows his calls are being monitored by a lot of people. How can any President ever trust those who listen and those in the intel community ever again.

The Democrats are wishing and hoping and scheming for impeachment. I am hoping that all fall into a carb coma for the next 18 months.
