Trump is a master at the troll game. Something those in the media and Hizzoner Mamdani have yet to grasp. Today, while in New York prepping for his UN appearance, Trump met with Mamdani at Gracie Mansion. He managed a troll game twofer.

First out of the gate was his backhanded, not so subtle ‘shape up or ship out’ compliments of Mamdani.

President Trump praised New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani after the two men had a high-stakes huddle at Gracie Mansion on Monday, continuing the streak of love fests for the political odd couple.

The roughly hour-and-a-half meeting focused on immigration and a Queens housing project for which Mamdani is seeking federal support. The president also shared his “many memories” of Gracie Mansion with Hizzoner.

Trump praised the mayor’s home as a “special place,” noting the various mayors he had met there over the years, going back to his days as a New York real estate tycoon.

“I’ve seen it with numerous different mayors, and I said some great ones and some not so great ones. So hopefully you’re going to be a great one. I’ll be able to say you’re going to be a great one, and you’re off to a start,” Trump said at a press conference after their meeting.

But hey, Zohran! No pressure at all. None. Whatsoever. Especially given that President Trump is fully aware that 90% of the policies Mamdani has tried to push on New York since January are being shown as epic failures. Rent control, potholes, 17 public toilets to the tune of $230K a piece, 9/11 families righteously yelling at him, and more. Hizzonor Mamdani has a ways to go, and Trump ensured that Mamdani knows he’s being watched. Especially when it comes to the Sunnyside Yard project. 

But the fresh-faced socialist left the meeting without closing the deal to lock up federal funding for the the pie-in-the-sky Sunnyside Yards redevelopment.

The project, which was stalled for decades before it was revived by Mamdani earlier this year, was a main topic of conversation between the two as they continued their budding bro-mance.

“It’s always been a great location,” Trump said, addressing reporters after the sitdown. “I owned a building in Sunnyside. It was a great building I know very well. So when they mentioned Sunnyside Yard, they’ve been talking about developing that for 50 years.

It’s been in “development” for that long, yet no one is touching it. Not even Trump. Yet here goes Mamdani trying to kickstart a project that has never gotten off the ground. Kind of like the non-existent railroad in California, but I digress.

For two days now, the media has been having tantrums over their ‘mandated by them’ access being revoked.

White House television pool members FOX News Media, ABC News, CBS News, CNN and NBC News announced Monday they have agreed to suspend their pooled coverage of President Donald Trump after he banned CNN, MS NOW and Politico, accusing the three outlets of publishing “fake news.”

Monday had been CNN’s turn to serve as White House pool representative. The pool members have long taken turns covering the president and sharing footage.

“The public has a vital interest in receiving accurate, independent information about its government. No administration should restrict a news organization because it objects to its reporting,” the pool members, FOX News Media, ABC News, CBS News, CNN and NBC News, said in a joint statement.

Dear media, let’s talk about accurate, independent and dare I say, objective information that your friends in the media report on. Was it accurate when you covered up Biden’s decline? Was it accurate when CNN reported misinformation during COVID or with the same network’s  How about the Nicholas Sandman and Covington pile on?

While the media has been clutching all the pearls they can find after access was denied at the White House, James Rosen comes along to remind people of that time when Obama did it and all the left applauded madly.

The media is whining about access. The First Amendment doesn’t guarantee nor mandate access.

President Trump masterfully trolled Mamdani, NYC, and all the media currently engaged in their next level TDS.

The media got trolled by a master. So did Mamdani.
