“Obama Envy” is a thing now according to Ben Rhodes. It’s Trump’s “Obama Envy” that has led the protests and attacks on our U.S. Embassy in Baghdad .
Trump sanctions on Iran have done nothing to change Iranian behavior except make it worse. This is what happens when your foreign policy is based on Obama envy, domestic politics, Saudi interests, and magical right wing thinking. https://t.co/HDn0ywZnHu

Sanctions on Iran will make things worse? Oh, ok. So we are supposed to go back to that lovely Iran Deal you helpfully and sneakily crafted behind the scenes? That same Iran Deal that Iran had ZERO intention of complying with?
Sanctions will make things worse hmmm? Seems that quite a number of Iran’s proxies have been having far too good of a time lately due to Iran’s non-compliance with Ben’s cutesy little deal.
Thousands of protestors, many wearing militia and military uniforms were allowed to traipse into Baghdad’s ‘Green Zone’ unimpeded. Unimpeded because the Iraq military let them pass right on by.
“Many were wearing militia uniforms and carried flags signifying their allegiance to the Iranian-backed Kataib Hezbollah militia, which had vowed to retaliate for the U.S. airstrikes on Sunday that killed 25 militia members.
Among the crowd were some of Iran’s most powerful allies in Iraq, including Hadi al-Amiri, leader of the Badr Organization; Qais al-Khazali, who heads the Asaib Ahl al-Haq militia and was once imprisoned by the U.S. military; and Jamal Jaafar Ibrahimi, better known by his nom de guerre Abu Mahdi al-Mohandes, who spent years in prison in Kuwait for bombing the U.S. Embassy there. [Emphasis Added]”
These photos are so important – the men in these photos are tied directly to Qassem Soleimani.
This is an IRGC-QF militia rally – the men in these photos run Iraq for Tehran – they are the reason for the real protests outside the greenzone – The Shia militia greenzone now. https://t.co/iYzSAXPVaO

Yet Benny is attempting to lecture Trump about how more sanctions against Iran won’t work? How would he know? He’s a fan of Iran even though the entire world knows that that country is the world’s largest terror sponsor and should never be treated as friendly!
The fact that allies to Iran are actively involved in the attacks on our U.S. Embassy right now and are cheering on chants of “Down, Down with U.S.A.” and “Death to America!” should be a warning signal to the Benster. But nooo… never mind the fact that those chants and the attacks on the embassy are eerily reminiscent of the 1979 attack and takeover of the U.S. Embassy in Iran. Benny boy says Trump is so damned envious of Obama’s fabulous foreign policy that this is the result!
Sunday’s airstrikes against the Kataeb Hezbollah were in retaliation for that group killing a US contractor and others are the reason for today’s storming of the U.S. embassy in Baghdad.
“Qais al-Khazali, leader of the Iranian-backed Asaib Ahl al-Haq militia, and several other senior militia leaders were among the protesters.
“Americans are unwanted in Iraq. They are a source of evil and we want them to leave,” the Shi’ite militia leader told Reuters.”
Ben Rhodes wants us to believe that Trump’s current foreign policy is the worst ever. Oh? If Obama’s foreign policy was so grand, then how come we are still dealing with the aftermath of
Care to comment Ben?
Again, supposedly this is all in response to the retaliation by the U.S. against Hezbollah yesterday. Fascinating how thousands of “mourners”were able to mobilize so quickly isn’t it? Even more fascinating is that major Iraq leaders with their hands in Iran’s pocket just happened to be at those protests.
Your “mourners” must be upset about a video. But these attackers are Hezbollah supporters. Hezbollah is a terrorist organization. #fixthis @nytimes https://t.co/43p72T49so

The news media just can’t help themselves can they? Neither can Ben Rhodes.
Ben is desperate for his Iran Deal to stay in place. So much so that he’s still willing to put the U.S. at risk because – Iran GOOD! Trump BAD!
Ben would rather blame Trump for so-called “Obama Envy” and will ignore all evidence that shows Iran has always been the scorpion and always will be.

Benji says that President Trump has “obama envy”? What does that even mean? Is he suggesting that President Trump wishes he was a little beta male, wearing mom jeans, with an extremely angry black “woman” for a wife, with no actual accomplishments (and numerous actual failures, many that you mentioned above, though I’d add Fast and Furious), and Soros’s hand up his ass? That’s about all I see when I think of 8 years of Zero’s administration… Somehow I seriously doubt that’s a thought that’s gone through President Trumps’ mind (yeah, I just like typing that for the lefties reading this…)
HOPEFULLY . . . POTUS TRUMP was hoping iran would create it’s own ‘epic’ moment here, so that we could do them a solid for the 444 days in 1979.
Revenge is a dish best served . . . to other people.
Personally hoping for some collateral damage on this one. Needs a PAX ROMANA style beotch-slap, to buy a decade of “peace”.

I’m tempted to say “Why is anyone still writing about this dweeb?”
Sunday’s airstrikes against the Kataeb Hezbollah were in retaliation for that group killing a US contractor and others are the reason for today’s storming of the U.S. embassy in Baghdad.
Rewrite, please. I think you meant that to be two sentences.

Thank you, sir! Nice to have an ambassador who sticks up for American interests!
As to the “sanctions aren’t working” – no need to get worked up, Nina. This is the exact same leftist idiocy that’s always been around: “Oh, we shouldn’t punish people, as it just makes things worse.” We saw it in 2001 – before the rubble had even cooled, and consistently since then.
Now, the “0bama envy” bit is just amazing. That’s a bit of a new one, and thoroughly ballsy, at that.
Way back 25 years ago, Tom Clancy wrote the novel “Executive Orders” in Iran and Iraq join together to form the United Islamic Republic. I have a recollection that the novel starts with Saddam Hussein being assassinated but I could be wrong. Anyway this new coalition attacks Saudi Arabia after releasing the Ebola virus in the US.
Maybe Mr. Clancy was ahead of his time. Given the Shiite majority in Iraq there may be a joinup with Iran there eventually. The Kurds will hold their own in the north but the Sunni’s (who didn’t join ISIS a few years back) may be in a squeeze between the two fronts of Shia Iraq and the Iranian forces in Syria.
You could well be right George, and maybe I’m a bad person for it, but I have real trouble working up any sympathy at all for any members of that death cult, no matter which flavor they claim to be. As the saying goes, Radical muslims want to kill all the infidels… Moderate muslims want the Radical muslims to kill all the infidels… While there MAY be exceptions to the rule it doesn’t seem to me worth the chance to give them the benefit of the doubt, nor the slightest sympathy.. Support the non-muslim Kurds, and let the rest of them kill each other off..
Do you mean support the small number of Kurds who are not muslim? Or did you mean to imply the Kurds, in general, are not muslim? Because the second one just isn’t true.
The first, not the second.
And here we go with NOT doing it like 0bama:
Sending Marines to the embassy and airborne to Kuwait
If Ben Rhodes walked across the street and was struck by a truck, my first concern would be the extent of damage to the truck.
He’s not just putting the US at risk. He’s putting the world at risk, based on the hubris that tells him that ‘personal relationships’ with the wicked mullahs of Iran and their minions will lead those monsters to change their ways–just to win his approval.
Michael Vick was condemned for cruelty to dogs. These monsters of Iran hold cruelty to dogs as a tenet of their faith. This tells you all you should need to know about them. We’ve bred dogs to keep their juvenile dependence on authority–us. Dogs trust us, need us, and, given the chance, love us. We made them this way. What does that tell you about the fanatics of Persia and Araby who torture and kill dogs, and of the people who trust those fanatics?
