The White House has a new definition of social distancing after Nancy Pelosi and quite a number of others have tested positive for Covid.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has tested positive for COVID-19, a day after appearing unmasked at a White House event with President Joe Biden.
There have been three major events over the last few days in Washington D.C. The Gridiron Dinner, Obama’s ‘me, myself, and I’ preening over Obamacare, and Biden signing blank pieces of paper. A significant number of power players in D.C. now have Covid.
Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo and Attorney General Merrick Garland on Wednesday revealed they had tested positive for Covid-19, becoming the latest D.C. figures to contract the virus in what is taking on signs of a new wave pummeling the capital city.

Democratic Reps. Adam Schiff (Calif.) and Joaquin Castro (Texas) announced Tuesday that they had contracted Covid after attending the dinner Saturday night as well. Both Reps. Katherine Clark (D-Mass.) and Scott Peters (D-Cali.) announced on Wednesday that they, too, had tested positive, though neither attended the dinner.
Keep in mind, everyone who is dealing with this right now has received two vaccines and a booster. Also, Pfizer now says that their booster only provides short-term protection as it wanes more quickly. So a booster kind of sort of works, maybe? By golly, that instills a great bit of confidence now doesn’t it? /Sarc
Meanwhile, the CDC is suddenly doing a revamp. It seems they’ve finally realized that the public doesn’t trust them. Except those running the revamp are insiders, so I don’t expect any drastic changes on any level.
Given all the arbitrary rule changes, many of which never made sense, is it any wonder the public has lost trust in the CDC?
Which brings me back to Nancy’s diagnosis and the events of this week. The White House has now REDEFINED what social distancing is and isn’t.
During Wednesday’s press briefing, Psaki emphasized that the White House goes above and beyond CDC guidelines when it comes to Biden’s safety, testing anyone before meeting or traveling with the president. The White House press secretary was then asked about other public events at the White House, and elsewhere, when Biden is often maskless and sometimes mingles with the crowd.
“It’s not at public events — I’m talking about at meetings, but again, I can check on the protocols for public events,” Psaki said.
Wait what? There are DIFFERENT protocols for meetings and public events? You don’t say. So, I went looking, but I can’t find those rules anywhere on the CDC website. One set of rules for our political betters and another set for the rest of us poor schlubs.
The White House said that on Wednesday. BEFORE today’s announcement that Nancy Pelosi tested positive. That was the White House stance even as Nancy hugged and kissed Joe Biden, and laid a very icky smooch on Obama’s hand after hugging him.

Once again, Jen Psaki swooped in to gaslight at a high rate of giddy up. You see, there’s certain KINDS of acceptable social distancing!
“The way that it is defined is by the … CDC and their definition of it is 15 minutes of contact within a set period of time within six feet. It did not meet that bar,” she said. “It does not mean that no one will get COVID around the world who have a close contact, it just means we are defining for all of you whether the president and their interaction met the definition of the CDC of a close contact.”
Pelosi was at at least TWO different events this week with Joe Biden, but we are supposed to believe that hugs and social kissing shouldn’t be a problem? We are supposed to believe that the Covid virus wasn’t present at any of those public events because our political betters only did the social kissing and hugs thing for fifteen minutes??!!
Or this? Very interesting public health guidance we have here. https://t.co/6V9pVgey6j

The gaslighting is real folks, and it’s hideous.
I don’t give a rat’s ass if there’s a super spreader among the D.C. elite. They’ve spent the last two years lecturing us all to stay 6 feet apart, not hold funerals for our loved ones, be alone when hospitalized, demand masks, cheer the essential workers and then demonize them for being cautious about the vaccines, closed schools, ignored how the lockdowns have caused a massive rise in mental health issues plus harmed our children irreparably, and wasted billions of taxpayer dollars on PPE, loans, and more.
Pelosi on Trump when he got COVID: “Going into crowds unmasked and all the rest was sort of a brazen invitation for something like this to happen.” https://t.co/RjVwUI1XrE pic.twitter.com/Tcy7HB7Fcn

For the White House to attempt to gaslight us into believing that hugs and social kissing is FINE because it was only for 15 minutes… I. AM. DONE with the hypocrisy! So should we all be.

Will those having the CCP Flu now wait until the disease forces them to a hospital, or will they be taking an early treatment? Something denied to those who died after waiting too long for treatment.
