The Secret Service and law enforcement have their hands full during the run up to Inauguration weekend. Protests have begun and more are planned. Some, as Jennifer notes here, could do more than disrupt and annoy, they could cause major harm to many.
What Project Veritas has uncovered in Part One of their investigation is disturbing enough.
However, there’s more via Valerie Richardson at the Washington Times.
Donald Trump may have a point about paid protesters: Job ads running in more than 20 cities offer $2,500 per month for agitators to demonstrate at this week’s presidential inauguration events.
Demand Protest, a San Francisco company that bills itself as the “largest private grassroots support organization in the United States,” posted identical ads Jan. 12 in multiple cities on Backpage.com seeking “operatives.”
Lest you think this is all a joke, check out the ads themselves. Asheville, Charlotte. Washington D.C. Los Angeles, and more. The protestors, if this is a legitimate deal, are paid very very well.
As a Demand Protest operative you will receive a monthly retainer of $2,500 on top of our standard per-event pay of $50/hr, as long as you participate in at least 6 events a year. We are extremely flexible and can work with almost any existing work schedule. Full-time operatives receive health, vision and dental insurance for families, flexible vacations, and paid trainings. Travel expenses are always paid.
If this is on the level; and given the track record of community organizers such as George Soros it very well may be, these protestors will make out like bandits while leaving destroyed property and livelihoods behind. Ferguson and Baltimore anyone?
I took a look at the Demand Protest website.
#fakeprotests Demand Protest pays protesters- "When you need the appearance of outrage, we are able to deliver it" https://t.co/pXWmcTicSi pic.twitter.com/rdi7gzS8Co

Key highlights:
A. 48 protests and counting. 15 partners (all anonymous). Nearly 2,000 paid operatives
B. Those recruited are reassured that nothing will be traced back to them and secrecy is paramount
C. Clients who hire Demand Protest are assured the utmost secrecy and deniability.
D. Scenes (again, Ferguson or Baltimore and upcoming Inauguration protests) are crafted to sway public opinion and appear totally genuine to media and anyone else watching.
Quite the organization isn’t it? Again, if the Demand Protest ads are genuine, then the rest of this week and weekend just got more difficult for the Secret Service and law enforcement. Furthermore, if those protestors tag team with the #DisruptJ20 groups, it could be bad. VERY bad. National Review’s Deroy Murdock, who is planning to attend the Inauguration festivities outlines the physical dangers of what #DistruptJ20 is planning. Which could include nausea, vomiting, possible explosions, physical collapse, creating scenes where inauguration attendees are forced into contact with protestors, and more.
There is nothing cute or funny about any of this. These violent extremists refuse to accept Donald J. Trump as president and will not give the incoming chief executive even 24 hours to see if he indeed lives down to their dark fantasies about his agenda. Instead, these agitators plot mayhem and destruction and break the law.
Agreed. Again, if Demand Protest’s paid agitators criminals join in, the potential for harm to many has increased.
You know, Hillary’s slogan resonated pretty well with everyone on the left.
Let’s make clear that love trumps hate—not just this November, but always. https://t.co/wDxspmxT9Q

Hillary’s definition of ‘love trumps hate’ is about the same as the Clintons long ago definition of “is.” A word/phrase flipped upside down. What we are seeing is the epitome of ‘hate trumps love’ on a dangerous scale.
Should these additional protestors (paid by Soros perhaps?) appear and join in with the planned violence of the #DisruptJ20 crowd, the responsibility for their actions lies not only with themselves but with a certain Community Organizer named Barack Obama.
I wonder when Demand Protest is going to say it was just a hoax designed to punk conservatives. I suppose it is possible, but to prove it they should open their books. Otherwise this could be considered organised crime.
Couldn’t agree more!
Yes, this whole thing certainly seems like a RICO prosecution in the making. I, for one, wish they would bring it where I live – because I have no compunctions about defending myself.
A ND state legislator has put forth a bill saying the responsibility for getting hit by a vehicle when you’re illegally in the road is on you, not the driver. He says he’s worried someone will be panicked by protesters blocking the road and they just might hit the gas instead of the brakes. And he doesn’t think they should go to jail when it was a lawbreaker who caused the issue. (I am wondering how many times you’re allowed to back up before you lose protection of the law….) I’m not feeling any schadenfreude about that at all. Not a bit.
I saw info on the proposed bill. Haven’t had time to read it. However, his point is valid. Given how many highways have been shut down due to protests, its a miracle no one has gotten hurt. Although I have to say, its likely added time (time they couldn’t afford for the patient) to emergency vehicles getting ppl to hospitals because they have to go around the protests…
For the most part, many of these protestors, both Inauguration Day and the Women’s March on Sat, are likely disaffected Hillary Clinton supporters. They can celebrate their own candidate, so they’re going to raise hell at the ceremonies and festivities of the one who did.
To quote President-Elect Trump: “Sad.”
Yes, the “if I can’t have a good day, then no one can have a good day” strategy.
As I recall, when BHO was elected and inaugurated, he was given a wide berth and considerable goodwill. It was only over time that the resentment and anger built against him. He was, knowing I believe in some cases, responsible for its ignition.
On the other hand, we witness what’s being drummed up against Trump. In some ways, it reminds me of what was done to Nixon, although he did aid in his own demise.
I certainly wish we, those who support Team Trump, had some organized ways of making our abhorrence of what’s taking place to the MSM, involved politicians, as well as any others who are resorting to threats and terror.
All I know is that Team Trump has my support, even if it’s only in the form of prayer.
