Graham Platner, facing calls to drop out of his race for Senate due to the credible accusations of sexual assault and rape, decided it was time to play the victim.

The Democrats, as we all know, engaged in the fine art of running for the hills once Jenny Racicot went public with the details of the date rape in 2021. Democrats were totally fine with his ‘it’s not really a Nazi tattoo, just a Totenkopf,’ had no problem with his Reddit posts or the garbage on Kik, and waved off many other reports of sexual assault because women wanted to stay anonymous or because Lyndsey is a Republican. 

But once Jenny stepped up, even Bernie Sanders ran for the hills. 

Which left the Maine Democrat Party in turmoil. They needed to figure out a new candidate and try to persuade Platner to drop out before the July 13th deadline.

Devon Murphy-Anderson, the Maine Democratic Party’s executive director, posted a video to social media on Tuesday vowing the state party would create a candidate selection process that was “open, inclusive, transparent and fair” while accusing Platner’s team of trying to tip the scales on the selection process.

Yet, the process is contingent on Platner dropping out — something he has yet to do — and the situation reached a boiling point on Wednesday.

Platner campaign manager Ben Chin reportedly sent out a mass text in which he alleged the state party had allowed the Senate Democrats’ campaign arm “to send staffers to plan a potential nominating process behind closed doors.” He said the campaign was excluded from the process and solicited feedback from Platner’s supporters about their thoughts toward the state party and the Senate Democratic candidate.

Even the team that “vetted” him flew up to Maine to have a pow wow. Until yesterday evening, he was digging in his heels. His campaign was posting job openings, yes really.

And then issued a survey…to the whole country.

Platner and his campaign crew wanted to force the Maine Democrats into letting him choose his successor, or let him stay in. Meanwhile, ‘journalists’ such as Molly Jung-Fast were clutching pearls over how they were just so misled by him. Others were digging all the holes trying to convince everyone that the Nazi tattoo wasn’t really THAT kind of tattoo. 

Remember, the Democrats picked this guy. They wanted him at all costs. 

Throughout his campaign, Platner had survived a steady string of scandals and repeatedly insisted to the public that he didn’t have any more skeletons in his closet before more bombshells dropped.

He’s been accused of sexting other women while married, lying about a since-removed Nazi tattoo and being unfaithful to girlfriends and contemptuous of women.

Maine is widely seen as a must-win race for Democrats in order to retake control of the Senate.

Most Democrats had stood by Platner throughout nearly all the scandals that emerged against Platner, and he won his primary last month nonetheless.

But the rape accusations, first reported by Politico, proved to be a death knell for his candidacy.

Democrats were going to stick with him, just like they did with Teddy Kennedy after Chappaquiddick, Bill Clinton, or Ralph Northam after his blackface incidents. That is, until a Democrat stood up and told the world her story. 

Then, all bets were off and Democrats not only ran for the hills, the funding dried up in .02 seconds. 

Thus, after yesterday’s summit meeting, Graham Platner posted this 11 minute speech. I urge you to watch it all.

All the accusations are false. HE is the victim here. He was just a regular guy who really didn’t want this running for office gig. But the Democrat Establishment convinced Graham and his wife Amy that he was their savior for Maine. 

But now, it’s all THEIR fault that he has to suspend his campaign. If the Democrat Establishment hadn’t cut and run, he’d still be in it to win it and would’ve prevailed against Susan Collins. 

His victimhood mindset is both astounding and arrogant.

Senator John Fetterman has never been a fan and was quite blunt about it yesterday. 

WOOF. That’s super blunt! 

The thing is, Platner is like so many on the progressive socialist side. Everything that happens to me, or that I’ve done, is never ever my fault. It’s always someone else’s fault. 

What he doesn’t address is the credible accusations of sexual assault and date rape. Other than stating, in the first two minutes, that it is all false. He then spends the next nine minutes whining about the Democrat establishment. They took their money and support away from me and my movement! WAAAHHHHH

He’s playing DARVO (Deny, attack, reverse victim and offender) to perfection here. Which tells you everything you need to know about his lack of character.

Now, for Democrats in Maine, they have to scramble to put together some sort of convention and pick a new candidate in a very short period of time. You’ll need more popcorn for that show!

As for Graham, looks like he’ll be back in the oyster farming business with his mother as his only customer. Good luck with that buddy.
