Sidney Blumenthal’s Son Skates On Treasonous Thin Ice

Max Blumenthal is the son of Sidney Blumenthal, and he is skating on terribly thin treason ice with his writing on and speeches in Iran. In this current climate of America hatred, he is not alone. He is aligned with influencer Jackson Hinkle. PJ Media’s Victoria Taft has nicknamed Blumenthal and Hinkle “Tokyo Bros” a clever take-off on Tokyo Rose of WW2 fame. The Tokyo Bros have NOT committed treason in a legal sense. Some of us, points to self, think that ice is pretty gosh darn thin.

For the benefit of all of us, from government sources here are some definitions:

Constitutional Definition

Clause 1: “Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.”

AND

Statutory Definition

Federal law codifies treason under 18 U.S.C. § 2381, which mirrors the constitutional definition. It states that anyone owing allegiance to the United States who levies war against it or adheres to its enemies, giving them aid and comfort, is guilty of treason. Conviction can result in death or imprisonment of at least five years, a fine of at least $10,000, and disqualification from holding any U.S. office

That ice is thin as a hair.

Here is what Miss Taft said in PJ Media:

What does it take to get arrested for treason around here, anyway? The last person to be arrested for working for the enemy and against the United States was Tomoya Kawakita, an American who switched sides to become a Japanese POW slave labor camp overseer who brutalized American soldiers in World War II. Then there was Tokyo Rose, who served the Imperial Japanese as a radio propagandist. Old Tokyo was arrested, tried, and convicted when she tried to get back into the U.S. after the war.

And that gives me an idea.

I don’t know about you, but I think that’s a splendid idea for what I’ve dubbed the “Tokyo Bros,” two American media influencers who went to Tehran to lead cheers with the “Death to America” crowd and fete the dead Iranian ayatollah. They claimed that the dead ayatollah was “fighting for humanity” against “evil” Zionists when he met his 72 old bags in the afterlife.

The Tokyo Bros are Social Media version of Tokyo Rose.

Now, Miss Taft spends much of her article letting her dislike of Jackson Hinkle be known.

This guy, Jackson Hinkle, a communist and anti-American — but I repeat myself — was on stage and literally led a “Death to America” and “Down with America” chant over the weekend in an IRGC-approved massive crowd in Iran. We know it was an approved propaganda ploy because, were it a collection of thousands of “free” Iranians rising up against the dead-ender Twelvers, the Basij would have mowed them down like they did the estimated 42,000 souls murdered during Iranian street protests last January. Wink, wink.

Taft has got tons of examples of Mr. Hinkle’s anti-American proclivities. I am more interested in Son of Sidney, Max Blumenthal. Name not familiar to you, young whippersnapper? How about “Old Swamp Thing”? Sidney Blumenthal is a long time Hillary Clinton confidant and fixer. He is truly a creature of the swamp and that is where he exists most comfortably. His son takes after him perfectly. He is more honestly anti-American. According to Taft:

Then there was Sid Vicious Blumenthal’s son (Hillary’s boy, Media Matters et al.), Max Blumenthal, who visited Tehran to fanboy over what a great guy the dead ayatollah was and be the hypeman for “these popular mobilization rallies” that have been approved by our sworn enemies in the IRGC.

We recognize that Americans have free speech rights, but … pssst … treason on foreign soil isn’t protected free speech. Pass it on.

I once described Sidney Blumenthal as unctuous. His son is even more unctuous. This is Max Blumenthal broadcasting for his The Grayzone publication. He actually says the words “MAGA Podcastistan Commentariat” to derisively describe anyone to the Right of himself:

We are all agents of Israel, according to Mild Max. The Son of Sidney repeats the Iranian agitprop without a twitch:

That circuit board proves that the U.S. bombed Tehran Uni and their A.I. department and I don’t care. I tried to care, but nothing happened. I don’t know who Max is trying to convince that the Ayatollah was a super-caring Mullah with this hogwash.

Here is more Max from Tehran:

This Soy Boy type is a creepazoid. He makes my skin crawl. I don’t want a wider definition of treason, but holy hog’s breath, this guy is gonna fall right through that thin ice.

Sydney Blumenthal had children? Did they come from a test tube? I went to high school with him at Chicago’s Sullivan High School. He graduated in my older sister’s class. He was the most hated kid in the school. Nobody liked him including his friends. The irony, given the course he took, is that his best friend was Republican Alderman Jack Sperling’s son, Bob.
