Besides unrealistic promises, one of the things that Zohran Mamdani is known for is his perma-grin. He gives the appearance of being unflappably happy and comfortable with himself. Until the other day in Staten Island. Staten Island is NOT New York City and the fine folk of Staten Island did not hesitate to boo Zohran Mamdani off the stage. Folks in the borough of Staten Island take care of each other and have no truck with Socialism. In his own mind, the Mayor is always the star and we should all be grateful.

In a touching moment, as our Rusty Weiss reported, Democratic Socialist New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani got booed off the stage at Staten Island’s annual National Night Out Against Crime celebration Tuesday night.

Of course, he kept that infamous maniacal grin frozen in place so people at home or at the bar who had it on mute in the background would think everything was wonderful in his communist paradise.

Weiss wrote:

The 43rd annual NYPD National Night Out Against Crime drew more than 3,500 residents and families to Midland Beach. But one individual was clearly not welcome.

Mamdani arrived late in the evening and began making his way toward the stage. Sections of the crowd immediately erupted in loud boos, jeers, and shouts for him to leave, with some using profanities. Because, why not? This is Staten Island after all.

His remarks were brief, but Zohran kept his trademark vapid smile throughout.

“Happy Night Out Against Crime,” he said. “It’s amazing to be here for the Staten Island community.”

So amazing, he promptly fled the stage.

Lord have mercy, I am evil. First time I read that, I spit Diet Coke across the breakfast bar. They should have thrown overripe tomatoes. I say overripe because tomatoes are too precious to waste. Overripe also because he could cover up his disgrace with his perma-grin.

If the sound is off and you just see the video, it looks like a winning stop with constituents. Then, watch it again with the sound on. Big difference. He didn’t have to pull a Jeb Bush and say “Please clap”. No one would have heard him say “Please clap” anyways. Mamdani would have had to hold up a sign that said “Please clap”. How do you think the lying, thin-skinned media is going to present it to the sheeple?

He has his unrealistic promises and perma-grin. From another Red State article:

That permanent smile on the face of New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani during interviews always looks like it’s pasted on. Perhaps he thinks that if he’s smiling, you won’t look too closely at the problematic things he’s saying and doing. Unfortunately, we’re still seeing it all.

Now people have dished to the NY Post about just how “thin-skinned” and “hypersensitive to public criticism” Mamdani truly is.

Behind the scenes, Hizzoner huffily badgers critics who dare question him publicly, harbors petty grudges against prominent pols and often only responds to texts when he’s miffed about bad press, according to interviews with more than a dozen elected officials, consultants and other politicos.

“I see more and more he cannot handle criticism, but mainly from elected officials who he thinks he can push around,” one political consultant said.

Sounds like he’s a bully, too. The insiders who were dishing wanted to avoid crossing “a touchy mayor with whom they must deal over matters of governance and politics.”

The report indicated he was upset when Jewish leaders told him to “stop fanning the flames of hatred” against Israel after an alleged antisemitic stabbing attack in the city. He called at least one elected official complaining about being told to tone it down, and upset that the criticism was related to him calling Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a war criminal.

Mamdani cannot stop fanning the flames of antisemitism or hatred. He would lose his base and that is absolutely all he has.

I sincerely hope that Mr. Lobaido has a full recovery and complete return to help. Silent protests are more impactful in my humble opinion.

My husband bets that Zohran Mamdani gets thrown out of office in November. I think he will be run out of town in January. Thoughts?
